Over the next few days, Su Lin and Lin Xiaowan visited almost every snack street and attraction in Donghai, leaving their footprints everywhere. Zhao Yanyan, anwhile, was busy overseeing the renovation of the supermarket, having had her fill of ‘watching the lovebirds’.

Lin Guoqiang’s booming voice ca from the phone, startling her, “Dad, what’s wrong?”
“How can you ask what’s wrong? I sent you to Donghai to visit your aunt. Where is she?”
“Uh… Dad, I didn’t go to Auntie’s place,” Lin Xiaowan honestly replied.
“Then where are you now? You’ve been in Donghai for a week, staying out for so long. Are you still my daughter?” Lin Guoqiang sounded frustrated.
He didn’t realize that Lin Xiaowan had grown beyond his control and was no longer obedient.
“Dad, I’m at the Donghai branch of Quan Le Gou, busy with work these days,” Lin Xiaowan answered.
“Quan Le Qou has expanded to Donghai?” Lin Guoqiang was surprised.
“Yeah, Dad, you might not know, but this month we opened six branches in Zhongjiang and one in Donghai.”

“Is that kid Su Lin with you in Donghai?”

Su Lin sighed, “Uncle, how did you guess so accurately? I’m indeed next to Xiaowan.”
“This kid, what do I not know about you? Give you a day to send my daughter back ho.”

“Why else? Read, watch TV, play on the computer. Anything is better than being in Donghai,” Lin Guoqiang replied.

“You let Su Lin handle the business. I don’t care; I want to see you at ho by noon tomorrow. If you’re not ho, I’ll co to get you and send you to the U.S. You decide,” Lin Guoqiang warned.
After Lin Guoqiang abruptly ended the call, Lin Xiaowan looked at Su Lin sowhat helplessly: “Su Lin, what should we do now?”
Su Lin shrugged: “What else can we do? We can’t let your dad co all the way here to fetch us. Xiaowan, we’ve had our fun; it’s ti to go back. You can oversee the progress in Zhongjiang.”
“Su Lin, even you want to go back?”
Su Lin wrapped his arms around Lin Xiaowan’s shoulders: “Xiaowan, a brief separation is just for a better reunion. You know your dad’s temper better than anyone. Can we resist him? We have a long life ahead of us. Don’t worry.”

Lin Xiaowan rembered her promise to Xia Shiyu before they went to Donghai and sighed, “You had this planned all along, didn’t you? Sending back today wasn’t the main reason; you mainly wanted to pick up Xiaoyu.”
Su Lin protested: “Xiaowan, you’re misunderstanding . I didn’t think like that. It just occurred to while picking you up to keep my promise…”
“Really?”
“Of course, Xiaowan, why don’t you stay and co to Donghai with ?”
Lin Xiaowan rolled her eyes: “You just talk nonsense. Don’t you think I don’t understand?”

Seeing Su Lin’s embarrassed face, Lin Xiaowan laughed. His cautious attitude was a sign of caring for her. As for bringing Xia Shiyu, they were good friends, and she didn’t mind that much.
