On Sunday, Su Lin received a call from Lin Xiaowan, who said she was accompanying Lin Guoqiang to visit so relatives and couldn’t co out.

The girl struggled a bit with the bucket but didn’t stop moving. Su Lin, curious, followed her, wondering if she was a worker’s daughter.
Just then, Chen Yang ca out of the supermarket. Not noticing Su Lin, he spoke gently to the girl, “Didn’t I tell you not to bother with this? Why did you make so much again?”
“Hehe, brother, this is the plum juice I made. You can’t buy this outside, and it’s more cost-effective than buying water,” Chen Lin replied, wiping sweat from her forehead and revealing a delicate face.
“Little sister, I’ve told you many tis. You can help clean or wipe shelves, but you don’t need to make plum juice.”
“Hehe, I was just bored and made it. Do you want so? It’s refreshing and cools you down.”
Chen Yang shook his head, “No, thanks. Give it to the workers.”
At this mont, Chen Yang noticed Su Lin, “Lin Bro, when did you get here? Why didn’t you say anything?”

Su Lin asked Chen Yang, “What’s going on?”
Chen Yang explained, “There’s no water supply here yet. The previous occupants used a well, which we filled up. So, we have to buy water.”
Su Lin realized, “It’s not charged to the company?”
“No… I paid myself.”
“Why not charge it to the company?”
“Because there’s no invoice,” Chen Lin interjected.
Chen Yang, smiling bitterly, explained, “Don’t mind what Xiaolin says. I…”
“It’s okay. I know you. If you were that scheming, you’d be rich by now. Calculate how much you spent, and I’ll have Xiaoyu reimburse you,” Su Lin waved off.
“Okay!” Chen Yang agreed.
Su Lin looked at Chen Lin and smiled, “Yangzi, you have a good sister.”
Chen Yang forced a smile. He knew this was all Chen Lin’s doing. He guessed she ca to set up this scene to bring up the issue of buying water.
“Let’s get a couple of water dispensers. Buying water isn’t a solution. Understand?”
Chen Yang nodded, ready to follow Su Lin’s instructions. “Alright, I’m going to check on Xiaoyu. You two keep busy. And leave two servings of that plum juice.”
After Su Lin left, Chen Yang turned to Chen Lin, sowhat annoyed, “Didn’t I tell you I’d handle this? Why did you bring it up, and why the act? How will Lin Bro see ? How will I face him?”
Chen Lin countered, “With so many workers working day and night, you’d spend hundreds daily on water, thousands monthly. They see you paying and don’t conserve. You’ll lose out in the end.”
“Our family’s monthly budget used to be less than a thousand yuan. Now you’re wasting money like this. I wouldn’t agree if I knew.”
Chen Yang looked at her stubborn face, “Xiaolin, you don’t understand. I’m in charge here, and I’ll be the manager with shares from Lin Bro. It’s my duty to pay. Don’t you see the bigger picture?”
