Su Lin led Li Ziyu through the crowd and out towards the hall’s exit. Along the way, Li Ziyu, finally stepping out of the hall, voiced her confusion, “Wasn’t it your dad who was looking for ? Why did you bring out here? Where is he?”
Su Lin pinched Li Ziyu’s cheek playfully and replied, “Aren’t you usually quite sharp? What’s with the slow reaction today? My dad’s busy right now; he’s not looking to et anyone. I saw those won crowding around you, you seed overwheld, so I thought I’d help you out.”
Realizing the situation, Li Ziyu looked around to ensure no one overheard them before laughing, “Su Lin, aren’t you being a bit too bold? If they found out, that would be quite troubleso.”
Su Lin smiled, “If you don’t ntion it, there won’t be any trouble.”
“It depends on how you behave now,” Li Ziyu said with a teasing smile.
Su Lin took a step forward, “Behave? How about I show you so behavior right now, especially since this is your territory.”
“You’re impossible… You always dare to ss around,” Li Ziyu chided.
Su Lin shrugged, “I help you out, and yet I still need to prove my behavior before you decide whether or not to tell others. Talk about being wronged, now you’re even blaming .”
Hearing this, Li Ziyu chuckled softly. “Heh… now that you ntion it, I am in the wrong.”
Su Lin gestured dismissively, “Enough about apologies for now. Where’s the surveillance room in your hotel? Take there.”
“Surveillance? What do you need to check the surveillance for? Has soone caused trouble today?” Li Ziyu asked seriously, knowing that if soone really caused trouble at the Four Seasons Hotel, she would not tolerate it.
Su Lin nodded, “It’s complicated to explain in just a few words; let’s go check the surveillance first.”
Seeing Su Lin’s serious deanor, Li Ziyu also beca more decisive, “Okay, let’s go now.”
Li Ziyu led Su Lin to the surveillance room on the second floor. Besides two security guards, there were also two grandmasters intently monitoring the screens.

Li Ziyu turned to Su Lin, “Tell , which area’s footage do you want to check?”
Su Lin stepped forward, pointing to one of the screens, “Pull up the footage from here, and rewind it back twenty minutes.”
“Alright~!” The staff rewound the screen back twenty minutes.
Su Lin imdiately noticed Qin Mu, who appeared to be acting sneakily. Since Qin Mu and Qin Desen seldom appeared publicly, Li Ziyu did not recognize him. She leaned in and asked, “Who is this person?”
“Just watch,” Su Lin said calmly.
As they watched Qin Mu move, Li Ziyu saw Xiao Feiyu and her expression imdiately beca serious.
Su Lin then explained, “This is Qin Mu, son of Qin Desen from the Qin family’s second branch. He doesn’t often appear publicly, so not many in Donghai know him, but he’s no simple character, especially his father, Qin Desen, who is always plotting to seize power.”
Li Ziyu had an epiphany, “I see, he approached Xiao Feiyu to form an alliance!”
Su Lin nodded, “Exactly, I suspect he’s just a ssenger. Qin Desen must have co here as well.”
“The Qin family’s invitation would have certainly been delivered, but since Qin Desen rarely shows his face, nobody recognized him when he ca to the Four Seasons Hotel, so no one noticed him. That old fox has finally made his move.”
Li Ziyu was sowhat surprised, “Did you already know he would stir up trouble?”
Su Lin nodded, “Of course, this guy is no fool, and he’s extrely cautious. He always withdraws his hand at the first sign of trouble. This risky move must be because he saw the Qin family forming an alliance with our Su family and knew we would grow bigger and stronger, so he couldn’t sit still anymore.”
Li Ziyu laughed, “It’s good that he couldn’t sit still. There’s an old saying that you can’t guard against a thief forever. Now that he has shown himself, we can deal with him once and for all.”
Although the Li and Qin families had previously been competitors, now with Su Lin’s arrival in Donghai and his ability to reconcile the two families single-handedly, Li Ziyu harbored no schadenfreude regarding the Qin family’s predicants. On the contrary, because of Qin Jiuyue, she took the matters more to heart.
‘Since these people are targeting the Qin family, Su Lin definitely wouldn’t stand idly by. If Su Lin decides to take action, I certainly won’t just stand by and watch,’ Li Ziyu reasoned.
Su Lin smiled, “That’s exactly what I was thinking. Qin Desen has been playing the fool, and he surely doesn’t want to play it for a lifeti; otherwise, he would really beco a fool. I’m sure the old man Qin is aware of the second branch’s intentions. Let’s keep following the video to see where he goes.”

Following the cara tracking Qin Mu, Su Lin asked, “What’s on the twelfth floor?”
“Just so rooms for having tea and chats.”
“Having tea and chats, sounds like a good place,” Su Lin comnted lightly.
Then, they saw Qin Mu exit the elevator and enter a tea room. Su Lin and Li Ziyu could see an elderly man sitting by the window, enjoying the view outside. Qin Mu and Qin Desen spoke softly, with Qin Desen showing a satisfied smile on his face.
Before long, Xiao Feiyu sneaked into the elevator.
Seeing this, Su Lin remarked sarcastically, “He’s supposed to be a son of a major family, yet he gives off such a sleazy vibe, looking just like a thief.”
Li Ziyu couldn’t help but chuckle, as Xiao Feiyu’s actions were indeed amusing. She laughed, “You know, I also thought he looked a bit like a thief.”
After laughing, she turned to Su Lin, “Now that it’s almost certain, and it matches your guess, what do you plan to do?”
Su Lin shrugged, “This kind of internal cleanup isn’t sothing you or I can handle—it has to be Qin Deshu.”
Li Ziyu pondered, “But old Mr. Qin is currently receiving guests.”
Su Lin smiled, “This is a matter of internal strife, and the old man can definitely tell what’s more important. I’ll call him.”
Li Ziyu initially wanted to dissuade Su Lin, suggesting he call Qin Jiuyue to inform her grandfather, but then she thought that Su Lin must have already established so understanding with the old master Qin; perhaps they even acknowledged him privately as a future grandson-in-law. Thus, she let Su Lin make the call to Qin Deshu.
The phone was quickly connected, and Su Lin could hear the bustling noise from the event, especially around Qin Deshu, as people continuously spoke to him.
“Old master Qin, there’s trouble in your backyard, please co to the second floor.”
“Trouble in the backyard?” Qin Deshu was montarily puzzled.
“Yes, I saw Qin Mu,” Su Lin said calmly.
Qin Deshu paused, then quickly responded, “I’ll be right there~!!”
“Alright…” After hanging up, Su Lin gave Li Ziyu a knowing look, “Now we don’t have to worry anymore.”
“Mhm.”
