The audience who got sucked into watching the movie after being attracted by that scene soon realized that there was no pitfall worse than the next, with Sheng Yan’s most intimate action with a woman being that very scene!

All the highlights had already been watched in advance; they had no choice but to follow the plot and watch Sheng Yan fight fiercely and invincibly, and after it was over, they flocked to Weibo to vent their frustrations, with many netizens vowing to mail razor blades to the screenwriter and director.

In response to this, both the screenwriter and Director Li just chuckled and didn’t care.

Thinking of this, Director Li couldn’t help but look in the direction of He Jinxia and felt that the girl’s acting skills were quite good, spirited, and her performance in an arty movie had even been nominated for an award at Berlin this year.

Originally, Director Li was thinking of bringing He Jinxia along when "World" was nominated for the film festival, partly to curry favor with Tonghua Entertainnt and to show goodwill to He Jinxia.

But this girl was capable of earning her own spot; she didn’t need his nomination. It was true that there were always new talents erging, outdoing the previous generation!

A spark of inspiration passed through Director Li’s eyes, as he was still preparing for his next film, which had several well-crafted female supporting roles that maybe He Jinxia could try out for?

After all, her junior Sheng Yan had been all the rage in Huaxia lately.

Considering the market and He Jinxia’s acting skills, those roles were perfect choices.

More and more production teams arrived at the lounge, one batch after another. The number of works shortlisted for the film awards wasn’t large this year, but due to productions arriving "in full force," the spacious lounge sohow turned into a crowded marketplace, with many peers engaging energetically in conversations.

Ti flew by in an instant, and before they knew it, a staff mber had co over to call numbers.

One by one, teams walked out, and a solemn atmosphere spread silently. Other team mbers beca earnest, reducing their chatter, as they all anticipated the award ceremony after walking the red carpet.

Just being able to make it to the Berlin Film Festival, even with just a re nomination, was enough to prove a film’s excellence.

But as many like to rank things first and second, so does the Berlin Film Festival. A nomination is just a massive bunch of films battling each other, with no distinction in quality.

To win an award, that’s to compete against other nominated films; it’s a battle of the strongest, the best of the best, and coming out on top is an honor.

This is a global film event, and winning an award here ans your film has earned a ranking worldwide.

An award is extrely important to the entire crew; the saying "friendship first, competition second," is just lip service.

Everyone standing at Berlin has a craving for awards. They say so openly only out of false modesty, fearing they won’t be able to bear the disappointnt if they don’t win, so they find an excuse in advance.

Sohow, the atmosphere in the lounge had turned solemn. With most teams gone, the remaining people stopped chatting and all sat upright, ready for action.

Xu Xiuzi also sensed this atmosphere. Even though so female celebrities still wanted to know about He Jinxia’s affairs, she didn’t talk much anymore.

Before long, a staff mber ca in, calling out the number held by the "Eighteen Years Old Sky" crew.

He Jinxia had taken off her headphones as soon as the staff began calling numbers, waiting for news.

When she heard the staff ntion their number, she imdiately stood up. Xi Jing and Xu Xiuzi sitting beside her hadn’t yet reacted. Seeing her standing up, they subconsciously stood as well.

Then, the staff mber called out the number a second ti, and everyone heard it.

Duan Yu and the other two male directors ca from behind and nodded at them, ready to go and said, "Let’s go!"

Xi Jing and Xu Xiuzi looked at each other and suddenly felt like they were about to charge into battle, getting a bit nervous. Their hands clenched involuntarily, their heartbeats picked up, and their steps stiffened.

They subconsciously turned their heads to look at He Jinxia.

He Jinxia stood with a straight back, her deanor dignified and graceful. Every move she made had a smooth flow, as if she belonged to the aristocracy of ancient tis, with a tranquil deanor.

She took a few steps forward and noticed their gaze. She couldn’t help but glance sideways and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Xi Jing and Xu Xiuzi imdiately shook their heads.

He Jinxia seed to understand sothing and smiled at them, "Feeling nervous?"

Xi Jing and Xu Xiuzi looked at each other; they indeed felt nervous, but would it seem too unsophisticated if they admitted it? Would He Jinxia think they were making too much of a fuss?

Before they could answer, He Jinxia’s voice ca firmly and powerfully—

"Believe in yourselves, believe in the crew. ’Eighteen Years Old Sky’ is no worse than any other film. We must have confidence in our movie!

If we fail, we’ll just start over. There is nothing to worry about. Life is so long; as long as you work tirelessly and keep exploring, you will eventually get what you want and reach the heights you desire!"

Xi Jing and Xu Xiuzi’s expressions turned solemn, and they nodded vigorously.

The speech inspired their morale and alleviated much of the unease in their hearts. Xi Jing, in particular, etched these words into her mory, often recalling them as a reminder to herself.

Duan Yu and others also heard these words, and Duan Yu even turned his head to look at He Jinxia. Without making a sound, he mouthed a shape—

"Thank you."

He Jinxia’s eyebrows raised slightly, her deanor casual and unrestrained as if to say—"No need to thank ."

Just then, Sheng Yan caught this exchange, and his face imdiately darkened.

Director Li was looking at his watch, wondering when he could make his entrance and thinking it would still be a while when he suddenly felt a chill, for no apparent reason.

Director Li shivered, looking around, but didn’t find any source of the draft.

He turned his head to look at Sheng Yan and asked, "Hey, do you feel it suddenly got colder?"

Sheng Yan said expressionlessly, "No."

Director Li shuddered again, finding it strange—why did it feel even colder?

It must be because of the cold indifference in Sheng Yan’s voice!

Sheng Yan ignored Director Li and was looking down at his phone, urging Zhang Ming to send him the investigation docunts about Duan Yu.

Zhang Ming wasn’t a mber of the crew and didn’t have the right to enter the rest area, so he was sitting in the public seats at the Berlin awards ceremony, which felt like a million miles away from where the actors were seated.

He was talking to Luo You next to him when he felt his phone vibrate. He took it out and his face instantly darkened.

Seeing his expression turn sour, Luo You couldn’t help asking, "Sothing urgent co up?"

Zhang Ming said expressionlessly, "No, just a brat throwing a tantrum because he can’t get candy."

Luo You, puzzled, asked, "A child from your relatives?"

Zhang Ming had only gotten married last year; even if they had a child, it would still be in his wife’s belly, not yet born.

Zhang Ming shook his head and put his phone aside, smiling lightly: "No, just a teenager being petulant, that’s all."

Luo You understood and said, "I’ve got a younger cousin in junior high, going through a severe rebellious phase. He needs a lot of guidance, or else he might end up with a bad temper."

Zhang Ming nodded in agreent, helplessly saying, "Can’t help it, his family spoils him too much. There’s not much I can do."

Luo You patted his shoulder, "Everything will be alright."
