Sheng Yan stared at it, his brows tightly furrowed as if pondering a very important question.

Upon hearing He Jinxia’s call, Sheng Yan looked up at her, his lips slightly parted, about to say sothing. But by then, He Jinxia had already hurriedly run toward him.

With a "bang," she tackled him down onto the bed.

Sheng Yan felt a heavy blow to his abdon, and the impact ca from his girlfriend’s accidental harm.

He frowned, about to speak, only to have his vision suddenly engulfed in darkness as a quilt was thrown over his head.

He Jinxia’s rushed voice ca from beside his ear, "Don’t move! Don’t lift the quilt! Don’t look! I’ll let you know when I’ve tidied up! Absolutely, absolutely don’t lift it!!"

Sheng Yan: "..."

Actually, she could have just sent him to the bathroom instead of covering him with a quilt, thank you.

However, sensing his girlfriend’s unease, Sheng Yan chose to stay silent.

Next, tidying up took ten minutes.

Ten minutes later, He Jinxia, looking at Sheng Yan who was half inside and half outside the bed, swallowed and in a low voice said, "Sheng Yan, it’s okay now."

A few seconds passed, and Sheng Yan on the bed did not react.

He Jinxia poked Sheng Yan’s belly and increased her volu a bit, "Sheng Yan, it’s okay now."

A few seconds passed, and still, Sheng Yan had no reaction.

Her brow furrowed, suddenly her face changed slightly, and she hurriedly lifted the quilt from him. Sheng Yan couldn’t possibly be...

As soon as the quilt was lifted, He Jinxia’s wrist was caught by Sheng Yan. With a strong pull, her world spun, and she found herself toppled onto the bed.

Upon opening her eyes, she saw Sheng Yan’s dark, intense gaze suddenly enlarge, like a mysterious and profound vortex drawing her entire being into it.

The man’s forehead gently touched hers, their noses brushed, so close that He Jinxia’s eyelashes seed almost to brush against his skin when she blinked.

Sheng Yan, with a hoarse voice, said, "Close your eyes."

He Jinxia subconsciously closed her eyes.

A prolonged kiss followed, at first tiger-like in its plunder, so tumultuous it left her breathless. After what felt like an eternity, it softened, like affectionate wheat waves slowly caressing her, tickling all over.

She felt their hearts beating out of sync, one after the other, ebbing and flowing.

Gradually, the heartbeats rged together, and she could no longer distinguish which one was her own.

At a certain mont, Sheng Yan let go of He Jinxia.

He Jinxia opened her eyes, her gaze watery, looking at him in a daze.

Sheng Yan’s throat moved slightly as he leaned down and kissed her eyelids.

"Close your eyes," he said again.

He Jinxia, in a daze, closed her eyes once more, for another round of irresistible passion.

After a while, Sheng Yan released her and lay on the other side, looking at her with his head tilted.

He had a smile on his lips, his eyes sparkling, looking especially handso and spirited.

The premise is, the man’s expression would be better if it weren’t so blatantly contented.

He Jinxia pouted and turned her body away from him.

Sheng Yan prodded her shoulder, his cool, magnetic voice gliding over her ear, "Are you angry?"

He Jinxia huffed softly but did not speak.

Sheng Yan raised his eyebrows, chuckling, "I wonder who was the heartless one who wrapped in the quilt."

At the ntion of this, He Jinxia felt both embarrassed and indignant. Who was that shaless rogue who had the audacity to pick up her "beep—" and look at it!

Hmph, she wouldn’t pay him any attention!

Sheng Yan continued to prod, "Aren’t you going to look at the way I’ve handled it?"

He Jinxia replied in a muffled voice, "No."

"I heard from Aunt He that you’ll be going on a reality show in a few days," he said.

Sheng Yan seed to recall sothing and shook his head slightly, saying, "Reality shows were a huge hit when they first ca out a few years ago. So lucky stars broke into the A-list because of them and managed to maintain a decent popularity among them."

"At that ti, I had also entered the A-list, but my popularity was unstable. Zhang Ming then got on a popular reality show, hoping I could solidify my fan base."

Hearing this, He Jinxia was sowhat curious.

She had looked up Sheng Yan’s information before, but it didn’t ntion that Sheng Yan had participated in a reality show.

"In the end, I did shoot it, but unfortunately, my parts were never aired. The production team, for the sake of the show’s needs and effects, cut out my entire reality show segnt. I heard they later brought in another celebrity to replace and re-recorded that episode."

He Jinxia turned around and blinked, "Why?"

Sheng Yan said nonchalantly, "It was a reality show about solving cris. After I went in to film, I pissed off the director so badly that they ended up banning ."

He Jinxia laughed, "How did you offend the director?"

Sheng Yan watched her long eyelashes flutter like a fine, dense brush, itching to reach out and give them a tug. However, considering the girl had just been angry, he ultimately regretfully abandoned the idea.

He recalled the incident and a visible look of disdain crossed his face, "They made props in a shoddy way, the scenes weren’t realistic, they fabricated motives haphazardly, and the culprit was painfully obvious. I just couldn’t go against my conscience and play dumb."

He Jinxia burst out laughing. That statent was so very... Sheng Yan.

Thinking about it, it wasn’t unusual for Sheng Yan, given his personality, to do sothing like confronting the issue head-on.

Apart from acting, this man was cold, arrogant, and sarcastic to outsiders... Everyone in the industry knew Sheng Yan had a temper, which was enough proof that he was not suitable for reality shows at all.

Reality shows also require acting, but as an A-list celebrity at the ti, Sheng Yan had no need to compromise with anyone. He chose not to act, which obviously leads to one outco—

Ga...Over. The ga ends here!

Seeing her laugh, a smile crossed Sheng Yan’s face, and he asked softly, "Not angry anymore?"

He Jinxia’s cheeks flushed, and she imdiately turned away again.

Sheng Yan leaned in close, carefully wrapped his arms around her, and rested his head on her shoulder, suddenly letting out a sigh that was extrely out of character for him.

"It’s a comforting sll."

He Jinxia’s body heated up, and her eyes unexpectedly welled up.

Her lips parted and then closed, opened and then shut, unsure of what to say, feeling a frustrating sense of powerlessness.

In the end, it all ca down to her not being a high enough caliber.

If she were an A-list celebrity, she would have the courage and the confidence to make her relationship with Sheng Yan public.

At the height of their romance, she too wanted to proclaim to the whole World—this man is hers!

But now it wasn’t possible... He Jinxia’s mood sank a little.

Sheng Yan gently pinched her ear, small, pink, and soft.

He whispered into her ear, "Jinxia, try a little harder."

He Jinxia’s voice was faint but very determined, "Mhm."

Sheng Yan continued to pinch her ear as if he was playing with a novel toy, his eyes growing darker.

Thinking of sothing, he suddenly chuckled, "I prefer the black ones, no need for lace trim, just embroider the lace pattern directly. And the red ones, red seems not bad either."

He Jinxia paused, her eyes showing a hint of bewildernt, and for a mont she didn’t understand what Sheng Yan was talking about.

The atmosphere was silent for a while.

In an instant, He Jinxia had an epiphany, her heart skipped a beat, realizing what Sheng Yan was referring to!

Her face turned bright red, she gritted her teeth, turned around, and kicked Sheng Yan off the bed.

This! Pervert!

Pah, scoundrel, shaless, big hoof!
