This was her first ti seeing Sheng Yan act, a stark contrast to his usual aloof and sullen deanor. On set, he possessed a kind of magic, bringing his character to life with every move, perfectly embodying its essence.

He Jinxia stared at him without blinking, entranced unconsciously.

"Little girl, snap out of it!"

Director Li waved his hand in front of He Jinxia, finding her quite amusing.

He Jinxia ca back to her senses, blinked, and said sowhat embarrassedly, "I’m sorry, Director, I—"

Director Li waved it off, not minding in the slightest. Instead, he boasted, "What do you think? The male lead I selected is quite handso, right? I specifically chose Sheng Yan for the role to target a young audience like you!"

Embarrassed, He Jinxia thought to herself, with Director Li saying this, she couldn’t deny his handsoness...

At that mont, Sheng Yan walked out of the set and stood behind He Jinxia, about to say sothing, when suddenly her clear and pleasant voice ca through, laced with a laugh and an imperceptible shyness:

"He is indeed quite handso."

Sheng Yan’s expression paused, his hand at his side clenched slightly, his gaze towards He Jinxia’s back deep and shadowy.

Director Li, upon seeing Sheng Yan, raised an eyebrow and said, "Good timing. Take a look at her and suggest so actions. Keep it simple; just bring out the character of her outfit and her deanour."

He Jinxia was startled and turned to look, seeing Sheng Yan standing behind her, his gaze fixed unwaveringly on her.

He Jinxia instinctively stepped back, feeling a bit alard, especially by the man’s eyes—dark as ink, deep as a black hole, seeming as if they could suck her soul in.

In her ears, Director Li’s words continued, "You’re here early. I was expecting you tomorrow, but you arrived this morning.

We haven’t yet designed the movent for your artistic direction, but now that you’re in full costu, it’s perfect. The artistic director can design based on your look, which might inspire more creativity."

He Jinxia collected herself and quickly turned her head to respond with a ’yes,’ striving not to look at Sheng Yan and avoid his heart-fluttering gaze.

Sheng Yan withdrew his gaze from her and looked at Director Li, speaking calmly, "She cos from a girl group and has a background in dance. She could try Deng Zhaoyan’s part."

On hearing this, Director Li frowned slightly, "That part is not simple."

Sheng Yan looked at Director Li and said calmly, "The character image is still acceptable. If soone can replace it, why bother changing the part and rewriting the script?"

Director Li’s frown deepened, feeling sowhat tempted by Sheng Yan’s suggestion.

Deng Zhaoyan was an A-list actress. She ca to the film intending to break into the film industry and raise her profile. Appearing in Director Li’s movie would fulfill her goal.

Even if her appearance was only for a few minutes, the film would credit her as a ’special guest star,’ which wouldn’t dishonor her A-list status.

Now that Deng Zhaoyan had been dismissed, Director Li and the screenwriter would need to select a replacent and revise the script.

The character had been specially added for Deng Zhaoyan, so naturally, modifications were needed after her departure, as not every actress could embrace Deng Zhaoyan’s style.

Originally, Director Li had planned to cut Deng Zhaoyan’s role entirely, leaving only a dance sequence. What they lacked now was rely a sultry lead dancer.

But now...

Director Li looked up at He Jinxia, his mind recalling the dance she perford previously on set, and he started to waver in his thoughts.

If he hadn’t seen He Jinxia dance, he would never have imagined that this star, with her pure and unglamorous looks, could embody such a "charming and seductive" aura so well.

Perhaps, he really could let her try out Deng Zhaoyan’s role?

Just as this thought flashed through Director Li’s mind, He Jinxia’s voice gently rose, "Director Li, Brother Sheng Yan, have you forgotten sothing?"

Both n turned their gazes to her simultaneously.

A hint of helplessness crossed He Jinxia’s face as she said, "Not counting today, I can only stay in the crew for two more days at most."

Director Li frowned, Sheng Yan’s expression darkened slightly, and just like that, any other thoughts were dismissed.

The artistic director quickly arrived and asked He Jinxia to perform a few sections of classical dance at random.

He Jinxia limbered up, feeling confident within.

Ever since she had shot a dancing scene for "Small Bridge, Flowing Water, People," she felt the need to revisit the dance skills from her past life, not to ntion that in this life, her body had been trained in a girl group—it would be inexcusable not to be able to dance.

She might struggle a bit with modern dance, but ancient dance was a skill so deeply ingrained in her that she could never forget it; it would be a sha if her body’s flexibility couldn’t show it off.

So after filming the dance scene for "Small Bridge, Flowing Water, People," besides her routine workouts, she added stretching exercises.

He Jinxia softly closed her eyes, gathering her emotions. As long as her body’s flexibility could keep up, she would surely be able to showcase those stunning classical dances.

After a dozen seconds, when she opened her eyes, she transford into a peerless Dancing Girl!

The performance started with the dreamy flick of sleeves unique to classical dance. He Jinxia twisted her waist, turned sideways, brought her snow-white dance sleeves back, cascading them from above her head to half-cover her face—

Embarrassed to speak, more delicate than flowers.

Fluttering, spiraling, twirling, leaping... Her dance sleeves acted as an extension of her arm, whirling into various shapes as if enveloping her entire being, like a zephyr, graspable only as a fleeting shadow.

The artistic director, a seasoned professional not well-versed in classical dance but who ca from a peacock dance background.

But art is interconnected, not being adept at classical dance didn’t an she couldn’t appreciate it.

At this mont, the artistic director couldn’t help nodding as she watched He Jinxia’s casual performance, her eyes alight with excitent. With such a dance foundation, she had already conjured many sophisticated, gorgeous dance moves in her head to showcase the character’s seductive qualities.

To the uninitiated, He Jinxia’s dance seed just very pretty; especially the way she tossed her sleeves, looking so ethereal, yet with a hint of allure. The amalgamation of these two distinct auras made it even more captivating.

After watching for a while, Director Li couldn’t restrain himself and asked, "What dance is this? Maybe we should use this one?"

He Jinxia paused her steps, reined in her movents, and stopped dancing. She replied breathlessly, "It’s called Jinghong."

She took a deep breath to steady her heartbeat, her eyes flickered with nostalgia and then returned to calm as she stated, word by word, "Its na is Jinghong, this is the Jinghong Dance."

It was also the dance with which she’d made a na for herself in her previous life.
