Chapter 933: Chapter 10: Skillful Hands, Steely Heart (2)
“Ah Ce, how did you co to the second conclusion?” Qin Qianbai asked.
“Those magnetic stone monsters listening to the music did nothing, and Wawu behaved as gently as usual after eting her.” Gongsun Ce made a wave-like gesture, “If her presence would provoke the ferocity of the Transformation Spirit, Wawu would have bitten soone by now.”
The three of them fell into contemplation simultaneously, and the only sound in the basent was the constant “beep” of the dizzy Bip-Bip. Jago jotted down a few notes in his notebook and asked, puzzled, “If it’s not her… then what could it be?”
That indeed was a good question, Gongsun Ce thought. Countless past experiences had taught him an unchanging truth: when sothing unusual happens, there must be sothing strange about it. He chatted with Jago for a few more monts and decided to leave the young lady to calm Bip-Bip and gather so information on the street while he went to talk with the Siluoke family.
Hoping that Alandia could also uncover sothing bizarre.

At the sa mont.
The Sky Clear was driving along a small road, and the surfaces of the buildings on both sides played attractive advertisents in a loop: automatic robots of Y·C Industries, legal potions produced by Dadarian Biotechnology, and the dazzling variety of prosthetic bodies… No one in the car spoke, and Shiyu Ling sat in the front passenger seat.
“Um…” Qiluo cautiously began.
The Sky Clear stopped at the red light, and Dawn Knight went straight to the point: “You don’t trust , Miss Shiyu.”
“Heh, isn’t that obvious?” Shiyu Ling scoffed, “Gongsun Ce can trust you without reservation because you were once comrades who faced life and death together; everyone can see you and that young boy have an incredibly close relationship, but what does that have to do with ?
Other people’s stories aren’t my reality. Since the journey began, I’ve only seen you treating everyone as fools; is playing tricks and acting mysterious really that fun?”
“Your discontent cos from my withholding of information,” Dawn Knight said.
Shiyu Ling tapped the car window with her fingertips, and Qiluo spoke softly, appearing as harmless as usual.
“Though it’s not really my place to say this, there are too many inexplicable things.
After handing the Impermanence Skill over to Gongsun Ce, Miss Alandia should no longer have the power of a Creator Realm Mage. Gongsun Ce and Shiyu Ling are the strongest mbers of the team now. Yet during the spaceship attack, the first to react was Miss Alandia, which seems very strange, doesn’t it?
Moreover, the plan you devised was so… relying entirely on improvisation after departure, even elentary schoolers on a trip wouldn’t co up with such a plan, right? It’s really hard to understand soone as ticulous as you making such choices…
Qiluo chuckled awkwardly and added, “That’s about it… just having wild thoughts due to lack of understanding, please don’t be mad!”
The signal light changed, and Dawn Knight started the car quickly. As she shifted gears, she complinted, “You’re a considerate friend, Miss Qiluo. You went out of your way to ask on behalf of Miss Shiyu Ling to prevent conflict escalation, but you don’t have to worry when communicating with ; just speak your mind openly.”
“Uh, oh. Okay.”
Her candid attitude left Qiluo unsure how to respond. Shiyu Ling coldly followed up: “That’s great, Dawn Knight. So what is your answer?”
“For your first concern. It was Ce who first detected the anomaly then; I just noticed his odd behavior. I could do this because my Spirit Light resides in his heart; my mind is connected with his,” Alandia said calmly, “No need to worry, this doesn’t an I share his senses at all tis. Only in a few special cases can I know his feelings.”
Shiyu Ling’s mouth twitched: “Does he know about this?”
“He hasn’t asked, so I haven’t told him,” Alandia smiled, “You two can ntion it to Ce at any ti; I’m looking forward to his reaction.”
Qiluo, sitting in the back seat, felt a rare sense of frustration as she looked at this confident female driver, as if lacking in ability compared to her.
This unabashed attitude! This forthright style! The sincerity of openly stating ‘I want to see his reaction!’ Dawn Knight doesn’t have a shred of ‘concealnt’ or ‘tact.’ She truly speaks her mind just as when she had amnesia. Being so straightforward in life surprisingly made Miss Idol feel a sense of connection, thinking that finally, there was a second person in this calculative team who lives candidly… which was quite a relief…
“As for your second concern, I won’t provide an answer for now,” Dawn Knight said, “because doing so would make you unnecessarily cautious, thus diverting your focus from training. I hope you can improve during this journey and face future battles with greater strength.”
Shiyu Ling sarcastically remarked, “So this is the old ‘it’s for your own good’ routine, huh?”
“Yes.”
“Sorry, I really don’t get along with such self-righteous mystery-mongers.”
“No matter, Miss Shiyu. I don’t hold any warm feelings for you either.”
“Cough, cough, cough, cough!” Qiluo choked violently on her soda in the back seat, and Shiyu Ling squinted her eyes, while Dawn Knight’s way of speaking seed like she was reciting an investigation report.
“You are a typical person from the grey zone. You’re smart, alert, and perceptive, but at the sa ti selfish, short-sighted, and harbor strong resistance towards official figures. You don’t care about the big picture, only your own and those close to you, shaped by your upbringing and experiences. Freedom is your own dream, where there’s little place for anyone except the one you’ve left a slot for.”
