Chapter 908: Chapter 1: Warm Hospitality, Honest Folk

“This is… I think it’s…” Jenny felt like her brain was almost broken, she opened her mouth dryly, and with great effort squeezed out a response, “Ice cream.”

“Ice cream?” the alien repeated.

“A kind of food. Sweet, cold, makes people happy.” Jenny explained as if she were teaching a child from a relative’s house.

The alien with multicolored hair grabbed the glass-shard-filled cone and tossed it into its mouth. It chewed for a while as if it were food, the glass shards crunching between its teeth. “An interesting food,” the alien comnted.

“Interesting, huh?” The third person said kindly.

“Very interesting.”

“In a good mood?”

“Neither good nor bad.” The alien turned around. A black-haired woman in black hunting gear was standing behind her, looking at this girl who only ca up to her waist with a wry smile. Shiyu Ling tapped the short arrow at her waist, and with an unexpectedly gentle tone said, “Would you mind telling , big sister, the reason you blasted our ship to pieces?”

“Ship…?”

The alien was silent for about 3 seconds, as if recalling the past.

“Your vehicle? Very fragile, not interested.”

“Ahaha, is that so? You bastard, stand still and grit your teeth!”

“No.”

As if ti had slipped away unknowingly, or as if everything was an illusion, the female Hunter and the alien disappeared from the hall in the blink of an eye. They ca abruptly and left unexpectedly, like a whirlwind passing by, only taking Jenny’s ice cream with them. No one spoke in the hall, the old Priest leaned against his crucifix deep in thought, the robbers held their guns trembling, and only the unlucky person with the pierced hand was still crying on the ground.

Jenny summoned courage from who knows where and softly asked, “Gentlen, is it over?”

The robbers’ gun barrels floated up and down, looking very hesitant, filled with a sense of philosophical bewildernt. At this mont, the tal-frad bank door was pushed open, and two custors walked in through the main entrance, one was a gray-haired young man in jeans and casual wear, supporting a well-built pink-haired girl.

“Gongsun Ce, I’m a bit seasick.” Qiluo was dizzy.

“Drink so hot water.” The gray-haired young man patted her back. The old Priest kindly pointed to the corner of the wall: “There’s a water dispenser there.”

“Thank you, sir.”

The gray-haired young man walked to the water dispenser, took a cup of hot water, brushed away the glass shards on the chair next to it, and let the dizzy girl sit down. After doing all this, he looked up at the surprisingly bright building, pushed his glasses, and said, “No offense ant, but was there just a bank robbery here?”

A series of loading sounds rang out in unison, the robbers, extrely tense, raised their guns aiming at his head.

The gray-haired young man shrugged and raised one finger.

“Want to see a little magic to relax?”

The glass shards all over the hall flew towards his fingertips, like countless iron filings flying to a large magnet. Those dangerous fragnts were effortlessly squeezed into a crystal-clear small ball, as easy as a child kneading paper shreds. The gray-haired young man casually tossed the glass ball into the trash can: “Want to see another magic trick? I’ll count to three and you will automatically and willingly put down your guns. No superpowers this ti, no super gear, just a little trick.”

The robbers didn’t speak, their hands trembling uncontrollably. The gray-haired young man raised his index finger again, slowly moving it in the air, his voice drawn out and slow.

“3…2”

The robbers’ eyes followed the young man’s fingertip movent until the finger stopped and slowly pointed at them.

“1…”

The young man mimicked a gun shape with his right hand, suddenly lifted it, and shouted, “bang!”

“Ah!!!!”

The robber chief with the shot hand was the first to scream, leaping up from the ground. The robbers imdiately scattered like startled chicks, screaming as they dropped their weapons and rushed out the bank’s door, scattering in all directions.

Qiluo couldn’t stop laughing while holding the cup of hot water, and the gray-haired young man leaned against the counter, spreading his hands.

“How was my trick?”

Alandia walked in from outside, comnting in a familiar tone, “Better than four years ago.”

“Wow, thanks for the complint.” The gray-haired young man scratched his head, “So, where are we now?”

“The chaotic magnetic fields have disrupted all electronic devices, so I can only give you a broad answer,” Alandia said, “We’re in the Ustus Federation, Xuan Ci State.”

Gongsun Ce looked up, gazing at the sky through the damaged ceiling.

It’s now three in the afternoon, with colorful magnetic lines occupying the clear sky of Xuan Ci State, like smoke trails from planes at a celebration, and various tals flying along these lines. From ti to ti, purple sparks from friction blossod, constructing a maze of electricity and tal in the air. Qin Qianbai and the blonde gunslinger used them as footholds in the sky, engaged heartily in battle. In the distance, a tal flying ship crashed into the wilderness like an ostrich, its propulsion apparatus spewing thick smoke. Shiyu Ling and the alien flashed near the fallen airship, spurred by the scene to fight more fiercely.

“What a nice place,” Gongsun Ce sincerely exclaid, “feels like coming ho.”

It was now the year 2010 of the Yong Guang Calendar, August 25th. This was the Ustus Federation’s southern Xuan Ci State.

Why were superpower users, who should be enjoying their sumr vacation, appearing here?

That traces back to the night Alandia Helison arrived in the City of the Sky one day ago.
