Chapter 852: Chapter 50: Wise Guy’s Charisma Mont (Final) (Part 2)

Orianna’s smile suddenly stopped, guilt and self-bla surged like a tide, she said sadly, “I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, I didn’t an to tell you these things in the first place.” Mo Yuankai chuckled awkwardly, “Then I started to pay attention to your every move and found you are very hardworking and responsible. Even though you’re too naive, you’re soone who loves life. You’re not that kind of girl who floats in the air without being grounded; you’re soone who lives every day with her feet on solid ground.

I know you lack confidence, and you think you’re inferior to the knights around you. But in the eyes of an outsider like , all of you are extrely outstanding. You just lack so experience and confidence. The day we practiced sword fighting, I tried to put so pressure on you and realized you lack no true skill. That’s when I knew you were soone worth trusting. That’s why when fighting the King of Skeletons, I dared to place my trust in you…”

Orianna whispered, “Didn’t you say that trust doesn’t need reasons?”

Mo Yuankai said, “Trusting companions doesn’t need reasons. But recognizing soone as a companion always requires reasons, right? You can’t force ordinary people onto the battlefield just because of wishful thinking.”

Mo Yuankai scratched his head foolishly, and Orianna suddenly realized that this man was not as straightforward as she thought; he always passed his judgnt before daring to say those extraordinary words.

“I digressed too much, in short, I think you have many excellent qualities… Initially, I wanted to say you have a good heart and cook well, but such words don’t sound romantic at all. You’ve heard plenty of better and more enlightening praises, so I wanted to give a unique answer. But I ssed it up, I’m sorry.”

Mo Yuankai still had many words to say; he wanted to explain his rush this ti was due to the amusent park temporarily closing soon because of regulatory policies. Over the next two weeks, public entertainnt venues will gradually shut down until the end of the special period, everyone’s work will beco more hectic, and if we don’t go out now, there won’t be any more opportunities. He really wanted this date to succeed, so he sought help from Ah Ce and the others. Plus, after things settle, he’ll have to return to the City of Sky, and if they don’t build a relationship during this rare ti, who knows when their next eting will be, they might drift apart…

But what’s the use of saying this now? It would seem like he’s evading responsibility and making excuses. If sothing is done poorly, it’s done poorly; a man shouldn’t keep making excuses.

He couldn’t think of any better words; he just gloomily repeated, “I’m sorry.”

Orianna didn’t respond. The amusent park lit up with colorful lights, and in the distance, they could hear the excited cheers of tourists. He thought he really ssed up this ti and perhaps he should at least insist on driving Orianna back, to avoid awkwardness like when they ca.

At that mont, a gentle touch ca on the back of his hand, a jade-like, delicate hand reached sideways and lightly rested on his hand.

Mo Yuankai turned his head in surprise, the golden-haired girl was looking at the car window just like he did earlier, the glass reflecting her slightly flushed face.

Suddenly, she brought up an unrelated topic: “Mr. Mo, what made you want to be a hero?”

Mo Yuankai was taken aback, and slowly answered, “You know the environnt in the city where I live isn’t great… I want to make the living environnt better, so everyone can have so hope. That’s part of the reason.”

He then continued, “But I also have a lot of selfish motives. I want to show off in front of others, want to succeed, want people’s cheers and admiration. I want a higher status, fa, and impactful words. I want the title of justice, want the pursuit of girls, want to be cool like the protagonists in animations, want to get rid of the despised identity, and get genuine respect from everyone…”

As he spoke, Mo Yuankai beca embarrassed: “I don’t want to lie to you; that’s too unworthy. I know these words sound greedy… it’s just that I once had nothing, and finally gained so strength, so I want everything.”

Orianna tightened her grip on his hand: “You obviously have better ways to achieve these.”

Mo Yuankai thought for a long ti, foolishly said, “You know I’m not very smart, I can’t think of brilliant ideas. I thought this was the best way.”

This man was never a saint; he had his desires and self-interest in doing things. He also craved fa and fortune, wanted the world’s admiration. And he was the world’s strongest superpower user, his existence could literally influence a country’s situation, his strength was enough to fulfill all his desires. He clearly could live as the most carefree person in the world, yet chose a difficult path to pursue these things that should have been within reach.

He was, in fact, a very clumsy person, made a pile of preparations for the girl he liked but failed to hit the mark. He upset the girl and humbly apologized to her because he never put his strength on the scale of emotions.

Orianna’s restraint almost couldn’t hold back her impulse, she shook his hand vigorously: “Alright! During your hero activities, you must have encountered many difficulties too, how did you think at that ti?”

“Huh?” Mo Yuankai said confusedly, “It’s not a big deal, just keep working hard afterward?”

Orianna shyly said, seemingly urging him: “Then what are you doing now?”

Mo Yuankai was stunned for a while, until the shy and angry girl started pounding his thigh, he suddenly realized: “Orianna, can you give another chance? I’ve actually made a lot of preparations, I’ll definitely make you happy this ti!”
