And so, two hours later. Gongsun Ce and Shiyu Lianyi lay exhausted on the sand.

In the two quick hours that passed, they had experienced various thrilling activities such as smashing waterlons (with the unlucky Kardesia acting as the lon), beach surfing (to see who could create the biggest splash), and barbecue BBQ (with so ingredients courtesy of the shark friends). Now, both of them were too drained to join the temporary fair nearby.
“Ouch, my arm is so sore…” Gongsun Ce used his telekinesis to scroll through his phone, looking up at distant friends, but he couldn’t spot soone in particular.
“When does the fireworks festival start?”
“About fifteen minutes from now.”
“Alright, tell everyone I’ll be a bit late.”
Shiyu Lianyi raised an eyebrow, “Okay.”
Gongsun Ce shook the sand off, put on his sun protection clothing, and started walking toward the exterior of the beach.
The day’s activities had begun at three-thirty in the afternoon and it was now past six. The playful noise of the blue sky was being cloaked by night, and the beach was less crowded with people. Most had gone back for dinner, and the next group of tourists had not yet arrived. Since the fireworks would be in the sky, there was no need to push through the crowd to see them clearly.
Gongsun Ce bought a bottle of juice from the convenience store and began to wander aimlessly. He visited the shopping street, paused in front of a ran shop he had been to before without finding his target; he went to the dock area, weaving through containers but still saw no sign; he quickly ruled out the sewage treatnt plant and his big brother’s ho, wondering where else he could go…
He couldn’t think of anywhere else, so he spread his telekinesis throughout the city. This ti, he found the place—soone was sitting near the top platform of a red iron tower in the western Fixed Wing District without changing out of her swimsuit, gazing at the distant night sky and sea.
Gongsun Ce flew next to her and sat down, removing his sun protection clothing to lay it on her back.
“Be careful of catching a cold in the wind at night.”
“Psh, do I look like so frail little girl to you?” Shiyu Ling tightened her clothes and reached out, “Got any booze?”
Gongsun Ce handed her a bottle of orange juice, and Miss Ling rolled her eyes.
“Who wants to drink this.”
“Having sothing sweet every now and then isn’t bad, makes you more like a little girl who can dream.”
“No thanks, take it away.”
Shiyu Ling threw the orange juice behind her, and Gongsun Ce chuckled helplessly.
“Why did you run off without saying anything?”
“I get tired of lively environnts after a while, still prefer to be alone.”
Shiyu Ling casually flipped her hair, letting it return to the blackness of the night.
“If you’re too much of a lone wolf, you’ll end up with no friends.”
“I don’t care—it doesn’t matter—let go of !”
Gongsun Ce wrapped his arms around her abruptly, and Miss Ling’s stern tone imdiately beca flustered. Without any explanation, he lifted the woman and sat her face to face on his lap.
“Your seat over there is so cold, let warm you up a bit.”

Gongsun Ce created a coat out of white matter and added another layer to her.
“I’m serious. Are you cold?”
Miss Ling bowed her head, letting her hair fall and conceal her face, and fell silent.
Gongsun Ce combed through her hair, asking softly, “I thought you’d go to that place we visited before, so why co to this unfamiliar tower?”
“I like high places.”
Idiots and smoke alike favored high ground.
“The real reason?”
“…”
After a mont of silence, Shiyu Ling bit his shoulder in retaliation before she reluctantly spoke.
“…I didn’t want to go to those places.
At first, I thought of finding a place worth commorating, but then I realized we barely have any mories in this city. Everywhere I think of reminds of past calculations, mories filled with sches. Once I start rembering, I can’t stop, and always freeze at the mont beneath the ground where my hands are clutching your heart, you’re lying in a pool of blood looking at so sadly.”
