Chapter 593: Chapter 59 Will Rise

At ten o’clock at night, in the central district, Cecil Laboratory, Third Assembly Departnt.

Qin Qianbai placed the last trial-model glaze crystal cannon on the workbench and greeted the project supervisor.

“Done.”

“You’ve worked hard, Miss Qin Qianbai.” The male supervisor in a white coat gestured an okay sign at her, “I’ll supervise tonight’s final experint, and we’ll talk about the next step for improvent tomorrow.”

Qin Qianbai nodded, gazing at the giant humanoid being assembled in the distance.

It was a scene that could almost be described as “horrific”: the pale green biochemical skeleton was fixed in the vast space, resembling the corpse of a giant after an execution. The neural structures beneath the translucent skin were being connected to external electronic pathways; superalloy armor was being tugged by chanical arms, suspended in mid-air, ready to be welded to the skeleton as soon as the foundational engineering was complete, becoming the first layer of armant for the artificial god-machine.

The scene was weird and nauseating, akin to the evil ritual of an ergent religion. However, Qin Qianbai knew the truth beneath the horrific scene: it was actually like “dressing” a god-machine skeleton. That lump of a skeleton, devoid of wisdom and almost instinct, was much safer than even the clean at walls of a sewage treatnt plant.

“Tomorrow, will the armants for machine number three be ready for testing?”

“I don’t think it will go that smoothly because the first thing to be tested isn’t combat power but whether the armants can be used normally. If Mr. John’s abilities can’t be triggered smoothly, then the armants for machine number three will likely need to be redesigned.”

Qin Qianbai observed the expressions of the white-coated researcher.

“You seem very happy, Shiyu Zhongyi.”

“I hypothesize that I must have enjoyed scientific research before losing my mory. Being able to participate in such a wonderful project would be a pleasant thing for any researcher.”

The clone of Shiyu Genmi, with a smile similar to his father’s, said.

“Then, about your previous request, please follow .”

He led Qin Qianbai through several dark doors into the secret chamber inside the Third Assembly Departnt and opened a storage locker. A glaze-colored katana was inserted upside down in the cabinet, its blade bound by several chains, resembling the sealed evil artifact from a literary creation.

“Nice blade,” Qin Qianbai said.

“This is a trial-model Heart Phase Weapon, Wanhua 1.0, created using a derivative from the Kong Hua Realm that underwent deactivation treatnt, supplented by artificial materials based on strange phases.”

“Can we change its na?”

Shiyu Zhongyi explained seriously, “This was nad by Doctor Cecil. If you pass all stability tests later, the doctor will grant you permission to use it, and then you can also give this blade a new na.”

“I see.” Qin Qianbai pondered for a mont, “Heart Phase Weapons should be equipnt only used by Impermanence Law Enforcers above the Clarity Realm. However, this blade and the mask from last ti…”

They both seed to allow her to use them normally.

After all, she wasn’t an Impermanence Law Enforcer but a Superpower User.

“I’m very sorry, but that is a prohibited topic,” Shiyu Zhongyi said. “Please don’t reveal it to Brother Gongsun; the doctor said he thinks too much and that it would give everyone a headache.”

“Being too smart isn’t such a good thing either. See you tomorrow, Shiyu Zhongyi.”

Having completed her part-ti job, Qin Qianbai briskly left.

Shiyu Zhongyi brewed two cups of black coffee and walked out the door with the cups in hand. He looked up to see an old man with a white bandana—and only one arm—limping past under the escort of white coats, muttering while holding a piece of steel, “Blacksmithing is not a matter of stubbornness. Just like this alloy you made, you can’t only consider the concept of static defense; you must also think about scenarios involving special attacks…”

The white coats hurriedly took out notebooks to scribble down notes, like apprentices listening to a teacher’s lecture. Further away, a group of elderly n and won was bustling about, forging and weaving with the help of the apprentice white coats. These middle-aged and older craftsn, so clad in iron armor, others covered in fur, and still others with two heads grown on one neck, were clearly non-human in appearance, and their attire bore an extrely strong… Zero Island local style.

The nature of the Kong Hua Realm derivatives (glaze crystals) was too special; current technological levels could scarcely handle stable processing, and therefore, before manufacturing crystal weapons, a few Superpower Users’ material adjustnt was necessary for the work. Qin Qianbai’s two-hour part-ti job produced enough material for the white coats to tinker with for two or three days. The actual application was even finer work; the white coats simply learned from the spirit of Zero Island’s craftsn and directly hired experts to craft by hand— which is why Ta Bei and his old buddies ca from Zero Island to the city of the skies to continue shining and thriving as traditional craftsn in the 21st century.

“Wow, Shiyu Zhongyi,” Ta Bei noticed Zhongyi and stopped, “Saw the blade?”

“Miss Qin Qianbai said it was a ‘nice blade,'” Zhongyi faithfully relayed the assessnt.

“Good! Making a blade for her is simple; she’s straightforward and knows what she wants,” Ta Bei said with satisfaction, then his expression soured again, “But that Western kid is different! He doesn’t even know what he wants, so why make a weapon at all! I’ll tell you, if he can’t figure it out, even if you find a hundred craftsn, they won’t make anything suitable for him!”

Zhongyi placated the old man with a few words, holding his hot coffee, and left the bustling assembly factory, heading towards the rest area.
