Chapter 548: Chapter 42: Supre Crown (Part 1)

The command vehicle of the Light Core was eerily quiet.

Now there was no sound of command, as Miss Creyah, responsible for issuing orders, had left with her guard three minutes ago to personally intercept that terrifying demon.

Yet the machinery continued to run faithfully, for machines would never abandon their posts. Displayed on the big screen was the current state of battle, where dust scattered deep in the Fixed Wing District, and a figure erged step by step from the black smoke.

They saw white, an inorganic white. That material of white covered nearly half of the newcor’s body and a small portion of the face, making him appear as horrifying as a zombie! Yet even transford into such a terrifying figure, the demon still stood tall, his tattered cape fluttering behind him, and his chilling laughter reached people’s ears…

The demon was still laughing!

“——Aaaaahhhh!!”

Cries echoed within the command vehicle, soone’s shrill scream. The screams were transmitted live throughout the city, causing citizens to shiver in their shelters!

“The despicable, shaless purveyor of trickery and deceit ambushed the raider and entered the Fixed Wing District…”

The chubby broadcaster struggled to speak halfway through and couldn’t take it anymore; he could no longer muster the courage to spout nonsense. Having lost command, he was the first to pull open the car door and flee into the rainy night in panic!

In less than half a minute, the intelligence personnel inside the command vehicle had all fled. The audience listened to the noise and speculated that the demon must have freed his hands to silence those who dared to gossip entirely.

No one knew when it began, but no one dared to curse the demon anymore. Order, justice, the peace of the city, just a short while ago they were enthused by Aorus’s speech, and now few could recall that feeling. The silent images continued on the screen… and then suddenly, a new comntary voice rang out!

“We are very sorry for the brief silence caused by signal fluctuation earlier, ergency maintenance of monitoring equipnt has now been completed, and we will continue to broadcast the fierce battle of the demon against the three major organizations!”

In no ti at all, a new group was inside the command vehicle. A short individual with a pentagram hairstyle grabbed the microphone to speak, a bald muscleman directed the strongn and the blood-spitting man to adjust the cara, and a sharp-chinned young man rapidly wrote an impromptu speech. mbers of the intelligence troops took advantage of the vacancy and seized command of the vehicle!

The short individual adjusted his tone to make his voice sound exactly like his predecessor. He read from the script seriously, “…The terrible Gongsun Ce knocked down the leader of the skeletons and occupied the strategic location of the Fixed Wing District!”

“Cough—!”

John Garcia lay amongst the ruins, issuing a pained growl. A black boot deeply embedded in his abdon, robbing the skeletal leader of his last bit of strength.

“Why…!”

The leader found it absurd, for his curse had never before displayed such weakness. Gongsun Ce had sustained so many injuries that the horrifying wounds had almost deprived him of half his flesh; he should have long died from impulsive self-destruction.

Yet the gray-haired youth acted as normal, the misfortune in the environnt couldn’t bring a decisive effect on him, and the physical weakness was overco by the aid of telekinesis. He was riddled with wounds, yet his fighting spirit surged, even scaring the leader’s own guards into losing all their will to fight!

“Why? Didn’t Aorus tell you, it seems you were thoroughly used.”

Gongsun Ce’s right hand was clutching his own throat, but his voice remained calm.

“This degree of suicidal impulse, I’ve been used to it for a long ti.”

The skeletal leader’s pupils shrank to the size of needles, recalling his past self, he imdiately understood the true aning in the enemy’s words.

A curse of self-destruction effective on him?

For one who incessantly thought of suicide, that curse was just the norm of his life!

“You are… the real madman,” the skeletal leader said weakly.

Gongsun Ce pulled a wry smile and said indifferently, “This is the end, skeletal leader.”

“You were originally the best among us at leading. You had a long-term vision, could detect the trend, decide resolutely, organize structures, and knew how to truly unite people.”

“But you have the sa problem as that idiot Budman. You are even more sentintally biased than I am… that obsessive hatred led you to create a criminal organization, and blind trust made you overlook the truth in front of you.”

He lowered his head, getting in close to the skeletal leader.

“Look into my eyes, skull.” Gongsun Ce said with a smile, “Now do you think, who killed your subordinates?”

The skeletal leader painfully closed his eyes, saying nothing. Gongsun Ce clenched his fist, compressing him into unconsciousness with telekinesis.

He released his fist and looked back. The gangsters in black had already fallen to the ground due to severe injuries; the few superpower users who were still capable of fighting had just arrived, and upon seeing him, they dropped their weapons, their legs trembling uncontrollably.

“Are we still fighting?” asked the black and white demon amicably.

There was no response, only the continuous sound of weapons dropping into puddles.

“Are we, still, fighting?” the demon raised his voice.

“Ah… aaaahhhh!”

Still, no verbal response, only screams and wails. The demon’s enemies had completely lost the will to fight; their tears mingled with the rain, seeping into the city along with their terror.

Gongsun Ce shook his arms, feeling drained. He looked up just in ti to see a shooting star falling towards the Fixed Wing District, illuminating a fiery red sky.

Gongsun Ce quietly picked up his phone, “…Big brother?”

“Miss Qin is fierce.” There was a sleepwalking numbness in big brother’s response, “Budman got blasted into a shooting star.”
