188: Chapter 3 Club Activities 188: Chapter 3 Club Activities March 7, 1:00 PM.
Today was Friday, and aside from Kardesia, the mbers of the small club had no classes in the afternoon.
Qiluo finished her morning work in the lab and slipped into the club activity room in the next building.
She wasn’t surprised to find Gongsun Ce asleep at the table.
Qiluo whispered, “Gongsun Ce has been sleep-deprived for seven days straight.”
Miss Qin was exercising her dynamic vision by tossing balls in a small classroom corner, while Mr.
Shiyu considerately draped a thin blanket over their friend, telepathically saying, “Gongsun has been working hard studying lately.”
“How amazing!” Qiluo marveled, “Gongsun Ce is actually studying!”
A certain gray-haired bespectacled man would have jumped up in protest if he heard this because, despite slacking off in class and occasionally skipping, Mr.
Gongsun managed to scrape by with passing grades by last-minute cramming.
It wasn’t that he didn’t study.
It was just that he wasn’t very passionate about studying.
By contrast, the young mistress and Mr.
Shiyu were model students: Qin Qianbai threw one of the ten balls in her hand towards Qiluo’s forehead, making a light “pop” as the ball bounced back into the expressionless girl’s hands.
Qiluo touched her forehead, “Ow, why’d you hit ?”
“You had that ‘ignorance is bliss’ look on your face,” Miss Qin collected the balls, “Qiluo should study hard too.”
“Being a hacker is so hard…”
Qiluo put on a crying face.
“I don’t understand what the doctors are saying; they don’t understand what I’m saying.
Today, Doctor Cecil said I have ‘no educational value, dumber than an amoeba,’ and plans to give up on the teaching plan to focus on practical ability developnt.”
“Aren’t you angry, Qiluo?”
“A little, so I secretly changed her hair to rainbow colors.”
Listening in, Mr.
Shiyu imagined the sight of a female doctor with multicolored hair spouting anger and thought Qiluo had a sense of humor sotis.
He glanced at his watch, estimating that the ti was about right, and silently counted down: 3, 2, 1…
Bang!
Kardesia burst open the door to the activity room, excitedly shouting, “mbers!
I’ve prepared the performance outfits and instrunts!”
The club president, already in her performance outfit, was wearing a gothic-style dress with a purple and black color sche, showing off a glimpse of youthful thighs beneath the skirt hem.
The red and blue lights adorning her attire gave off a late-century bar street vibe, adding a touch of cyber aesthetic to her look.
Gongsun Ce woke up bleary-eyed, looking almost like a zombie rising from a grave.
He stared at the hat-wearing girl for a long while before comnting, “Are you trying to cosplay as a holiday street lamp that fell to the dark side?”
Kardesia responded with a burst of fla, and the quick-reacting gray-haired youth promptly used his boyfriend as a human shield.
The fire grazed past Mr.
Shiyu’s hair.
“Gongsun, I just covered you with a blanket,” Mr.
Shiyu gently reminded, “Shouldn’t you have a little more respect for ?”
“What are you talking about, you dragged into facing that inferno with you.”
Gongsun Ce eyed Kardesia’s handbag, “So this is our performance outfit?”
The hat-wearing girl sneered, “Yes, it sure is!
I guarantee you’ll love it.
I have prepared two sets of outfits for the gentlen…”
She chuckled wickedly as she took out the first set: a long coat in blue and white with flamboyant golden tassels on the shoulders, complented with leather gloves, white leather trousers, and a fluorescent cape.
The outfit was basically head-to-toe, clearly tailored for a particular soone.
Kardesia smiled brightly.
“Who wants to wear this set?”
“Mr.
Shiyu does.” “I think it’s perfect for Shiyu Lianyi!”
Mr.
Shiyu’s smile was forced, “Gongsun, why don’t you…”
“I’m too down-to-earth to pull off such a fashionable look!” the gray-haired youth cackled, “Hehehe, Mr.
Shiyu, this beautiful performance outfit is made for you!
I think you’ll definitely exude the vibe of Knight Morton!”
Gongsun Ce was halfway through his schadenfreude when he realized the wryness of the suit-wearing youth’s smile.
“Alright then, Gongsun.
You can have the second outfit.”
The gray-haired youth had an ominous feeling as he looked toward the second shopping bag brought by the club president…
Kardesia pulled out a leather jacket and a red-and-white knee-length plaid skirt.
The gray-haired youth’s face turned green.
“You’ve got great taste, Gongsun Ce,” she said with a laugh, “I too think this Morton skirt is particularly fitting for you!”
What followed happened in a split second: Gongsun Ce, using his superpower to speed up his movents, prepared to flee, but he’d barely gotten up when the young mistress pinned him to the table.
“Stop!
A gentleman may be killed but not insulted!” Gongsun Ce scread, “Miss Qin, let go!
After so many years of friendship, can you bear to see humiliated like this!!”
With an expressionless face, Qin Qianbai said, “I can bear it.
I want to see.”
Qiluo excitedly pulled out the matching flute, boots, and black leather cap, stuffing them beside Gongsun Ce.
The first club activity comnced amidst soone’s screams.
·
A dozen minutes later.
Qiluo had changed back into her original performance outfit, and the young mistress wore an electronic style dress even more conservative than usual.
At this point, they indeed looked like a non-mainstream college student band on the street—the innate amateurism and pursuit of fun were particularly genuine.
Among the group, only Gongsun Ce seed out of place.
Carrying a flute, wearing a tall black hat, over his shirt he added a spangled waistcoat, and below, that striking plaid skirt.
His face carried an air of existential despair, like a forcibly conscripted Morton pikeman.
