Capítulo 1431: Chapter 30: Shattered Moon

“Crazy!” Liu Zhongwu exclaid, “Everyone’s gone fucking crazy!”

He said this for the first ti when Gongsun Ce proposed shattering the moon; he repeated it a second ti when everyone cheered in agreent; and a third ti when the teleportation array within Divine Capital City failed, and Qin Ming creatively suggested “taking a straight line.”

Now they were riding a black horse crafted from ink, galloping through the silent deep space, rushing towards the moon 380,000 kiloters away. The military was no longer qualified to intercept this group of maniacs, the backstage machinery had raised the security level again, and their opponents were black-and-white warships filling the cosmos. The Masters Jing aboard the warships issued commands to divert the cannons, while a few elite warriors piloted massive chanical exosuits over a hundred ters long, with high-energy lasers and reactive shrapnel whistling past like teors shooting by.

Liu Zhongwu repeated his golden words for the fourth ti, unsure if he was lanting the ard opposition across from them or the madness of his own people. Gongsun Ce shattered a black-and-white humanoid exosuit with a single punch, speaking through clenched teeth: “Damn, this Order King actually has a not-bad aesthetic sense…”

“You have the leisure to comnt on the enemy’s appearance?” Liu Zhongwu felt utterly undone.

Gongsun Ce gestured with his mouth: “Look, those over there are having even more fun.”

Situ Yi stood atop a warship’s bridge, forcibly controlling a host of enemy soldiers to fight amongst themselves with his threads, laughing all the while. Seeing the size of the enemy, Qin Ming enlarged his Ming Blade into a giant 20-ter-long saber, taking down a fortress with a single leap. Yan Qi, with a grand stroke of the pen, drew a batch of ink-colored cavalry bearing cold weapons like diverse blades and wooden spearheads, and proceeded to stab holes in the chanical army. If Chi Zijing were to see this, he would likely be enviously red-eyed, having only played a few rounds of old gas in the arcade all afternoon, while these gentlen had turned interstellar warfare into a mix of StarCraft and Dynasty Warriors.

Liu Zhongwu, holding a long-range communication array, hid behind the battle lines. His Impermanence Skill wasn’t useful at the mont, so he simply focused on support. The projection of Shiyu Genmi stood within the array, vomiting blood occasionally out of excitent, yet his spirits remained high: “Excellent! The fools watching the broadcast are about to be scared out of their wits. Keep smashing them down like this! Hahaha, hahahaha!!”

Little Qin Qianbai stayed on the ground like him, watching the distant scene in the projection skill. She thought she’d probably never forget this bizarre scene in her lifeti, seeing the “adults” she knew galloping across the heavens, their enemies being the gods of myth and legend, and their target the emperor within the Moon Palace.

The sounds of cursing and wailing were almost enough to drown out the two on the ground. The citizens of Divine Capital were also witnessing the battlefield in space, terrified by the incomprehensible sight and hoping the emperor could beat back the great enemy disturbing the capital. Yet Qin Qianbai didn’t feel anxious, even sensing a faint joy. She realized that the uncles in the sky were now truly showing their skills, finally having a place for their unique techniques and ideas, grumbling, complaining, and cursing each other, but with smiles in their eyes, smiles lighter than ever before.

They were happier than they’d ever been!

Having just finished off the Masters Jing’s large array, Liu Zhongwu laughed and sighed: “My goodness… how much virtue will we lose on this trip…”

Gongsun Ce was recharging his energy while retreating, his fighting power having fallen more than half with the departure of the three Heavenly Demon arms, feeling like an ailing person, exhausted after a punch or two. Hearing Liu Zhongwu’s lant, he raised an eyebrow: “I say Old Liu, aren’t you a bit too calm? Those few monsters are one thing, but when did you get a grip on the situation?”

“Ah, I had my suspicions earlier, but today confirming them gave my heart a jolt…” Liu Zhongwu said.

Gongsun Ce blinked: “…What did you say?”

Liu Zhongwu rubbed his fingers, and a piece of Jade crafted from gold and gray threads fell into his round, chubby hand. The front of the Jade was engraved with a touring boat, the exact seal of Yiji Hall’s Universe Patrol Departnt.

Faced with Gongsun Ce’s dumbfounded gaze, he smiled innocently: “I was thinking, since I, An Yushi, was already sent with orders to monitor them, why send another An Yushi for no reason?”

“…”

Before the crossing, Mr. Liu’s seamless rhetoric appeared before Gongsun Ce’s eyes, the spaceti crossing array miraculously completed in one night, the unified story Liu Zhongwu and Chi Zijing told, and the Secret Technique specifically ant to counter Qin Ming… This man, always one step below his classmates, got along well with everyone, paid particular attention to hierarchy, and was the first to beco friends with Gongsun Ce in the virtual history…

Those sudden realizations faded into mory, dissolving in the round, smiling youth in front of him. Only now did he truly co to know the man before him and understand the foundation of this crossing plan.

“Cunning,” Gongsun Ce muttered to himself, “so damn cunning…”

Qin Ming swung his blade and heard by chance, utterly shocked: “Zhongwu is actually from the Universe Patrol?”

“You’re the only fool who didn’t know until now.” Yan Qi scoffed, casually drawing an eagle to carry off an enemy’s steel general, “Why else would Situ help Gongsun? Do you really think he was kind enough to help a new student?”

Situ Yi bead with smiles: “It’s rare for Zhongwu to ask, how could I stand by and do nothing?”

Yan Qi glanced over, “How did a coward like you change your stripes? Shouldn’t your first concern be how you’ll fare in the future?”

Situ Yi twirled the thread in his hand, laughing lowly: “If we part ways after this, so what? If so of us die and dissipate, should we cry? If in the future I beco a heartless actor, can I not at least play the part of a passionate madman for now?”
