Capítulo 1397: Chapter 13: Arrogant and Overbearing (Part 2)
Dust flew on Central Guang Road, as pedestrians and vendors on both sides quickly made way. A total of forty-four elite soldiers of the Left and Right Guards rode forward, each with a stern murderous aura on their faces.
The Left and Right Guards were the elite troops guarding the East Martial and West regions of the Divine Capital. Each soldier followed orders strictly, possessed extraordinary martial skills, and their equipnt was top-notch: their full-body armor was new, anti-dynamic armor forged at the beginning of the year, and the long sabers in their hands were high-frequency weapons capable of severing hair. The pure black iron horses beneath them were strong and majestic, able to charge for three days without rest. These elite soldiers were the protectors of the Peaceful Four Districts of the Divine Capital; no matter where the fierce and powerful ca from, they had to show utmost respect. For they represented not only their own might but also the rules and facade of the Divine Capital. Daring to oppose the soldiers ant challenging the authority of the Divine Capital!
“They’ve rebelled against the heavens! Disobeyed orders, spoken arrogantly, and openly attacked soldiers. These madn simply disregard the law, arrest them imdiately!”
Hu Buping, the historian of the Left and Right Guards, charged ahead first, with anger in his heart and a hint of apprehension. He had heard about the arrogance of this year’s Imperial Academy students, but did not expect them to really dare to act. Although the General was pleased to see them causing trouble for a chance to submit a harsh report, if real chaos ensued, those involved would not have an easy ti…
Never mind! Hu Buping gritted his teeth, resolved. He himself had long been displeased with these bookish students. After all, this is in the shadow of the Emperor, they wouldn’t dare disrupt the Capital’s order or embarrass the Emperor even if given a hundred guts!
The academy’s gate drew nearer to the soldiers, while several unrepentant students walked out. Hu Buping saw the leader looking arrogant, which nearly twisted his nose in anger. His deputy approached, saying: “Two people acted, the one in black is Yan Qi, the one with grey hair is the newcor, Gongsun Ce…”
“First, take down the leader!” Hu Buping roared.
Two agile soldiers received the order and threw their weapons, two shiny iron claws flew towards the leaders, guided by long ropes. This peculiar weapon, known as the “Double Flying Hook,” could pierce flesh upon contact, and by pulling the ropes, soldiers could drag the enemy towards them—the perfect weapon for capturing enemies. Hu Buping brought this weapon for a reason, thinking the students would not want to escalate matters and would eventually surrender. Once captured, they could use their connections above to mitigate the situation. The iron claws of the Double Flying Hook sunk deeply and painfully, even if they avoided a severe punishnt later, they must endure the living ordeal today.
The iron claws sinisterly aid at one’s shoulder… and then shattered into scrap tal!
The two soldiers wielding the Double Flying Hook were dumbfounded. They had clearly targeted Yan Qi and Gongsun Ce, yet the weapon inexplicably landed on a third person’s shoulder. The long-haired youth, clad in blue, with a slender build, was unrelated to robustness, but when the iron claws touched, it felt as if they struck a mountain. Despite the soldiers’ efforts and exertion, they couldn’t shake even a stone of the mountain.
As Hu Buping saw that blue attire, his face turned greener than the blue itself. Qin Ming picked up a piece of iron, glanced at it, and smiled at the soldiers:
“Unprovoked, you attacked .”
Hu Buping’s voice sharpened like a woman’s: “You misunderstand—”
Suddenly, the blue-clad figure transford into a whirlwind, and everyone saw fists flying towards them within the storm. He struck thodically, one punch per person, forty-three punches in a second. Thus, after one second, the relentless sound of soldiers falling from horses echoed nonstop. Forty-three cries of agony resonated throughout the Capital; street corners and alleys were filled with onlookers tensing, while a few children laughed at the funny sight of the soldiers.
Hu Buping didn’t get hit, he seed to have a chance to escape, but his pride, identity, and long-standing arrogance made him turn around to confront Qin Ming. In a mont, Hu Buping forgot how to speak official language or even label the opponent appropriately. He only unsheathed his saber and scread as he slashed at Qin Ming’s chest.
Qin Ming slightly leaned back to dodge and said: “Your strength is three parts too light, you haven’t mastered the Phoenix Tail Swing technique.”
Upon hearing his adversary critique him effortlessly, Hu Buping’s nose nearly exploded with anger. He imdiately stepped forward, twisting waist and body, and thrust his left palm with index and middle fingers at Qin Ming’s throat. Qin Ming casually tilted his head to dodge: “Five Elents Sect’s Fire Intense Finger, your force is too scattered, unable to concentrate it into fire tongues.”
Hu Buping was utterly furious, retrieving his left arm to synergize right palm with left, unleashing one last fierce elbow strike with full force!
Qin Ming blocked the elbow strike with one finger. He furrowed his brow, contemplating for so ti, unable to find a subtle way to put it, before bluntly saying: “Your arm strength isn’t even comparable to the children in my family…”
He looked down at Hu Buping, eyes filled with innocent confusion: “You’re not even at the level of a Five Elents Sect’s direct disciple; how did you beco a martial officer in the Divine Capital?”
Hu Buping’s face turned as red as the rising sun, spitting a mouthful of blood, rolling his eyes and fainted from fury.
Qin Ming helplessly turned his head to ask: “What happened to him?”
“He lost face, just couldn’t bear the humiliation!” Yan Qi sneered, “Situ, search his mory, see how he got this job.”
Situ Yi pulled out a thread, and monts later, laughed: “Lord Hu followed Mr. Huo’s orders, Mr. Huo was the Great General of the Left and Right Guards. The Great General attended a banquet recently, the banquet was hosted by the Chief of Staff’s family~”
