Capítulo 1260: Chapter 125: The Director Arrives with a Shrill Laugh

“Ah Ce, are you awake?”

Gongsun Ce groggily opened his eyes. The dim white light illuminated the simple furniture within the room, and the mattress beneath him, neither too soft nor too hard, had the elasticity he preferred. A girl with black hair sat by the bedside, lightly patting his face.

“Did you win, Miss?” Gongsun Ce mumbled, “Are we all back on the ship?”

This was the cabin of the Dawn Star; the window on the right was half open, and the high-altitude winds blew through the girl’s black hair. Qin Qianbai poked his face repeatedly: “Look at you, with such a confident expression. This ti we secured a major victory.”

“Really? A complete victory?” Gongsun Ce sat up, rubbing his temples, gradually recalling the mories before he blacked out. “Ah, damn… I lost my arm fighting Gaius. I never thought he’d be so tricky.”

“You were unconscious for a full seven days this ti, breaking the record for the longest slumber.”

“If this continues, I’m afraid I’ll be dubbed the ‘Sleeping Superpower User.'”

Qin Qianbai said solemnly: “Ah Ce doesn’t know what transpired during his coma. Only the 17,867 remote-controlled antennas inserted into the back of his neck by Alandia are aware of the tight secrets behind the events…”

“Why antennas and not needles? Besides, if there were over ten thousand antennas, a person would be dead. Those antennas would weigh more than the person!”

For a mont, he imagined the Dawn Knight holding a remote control, shuddering at the thought that she might actually do sothing like that.

Qin Qianbai looked up proudly: “To keep up with the trend.”

“Controlling people with antennas is clearly an old comic trope, yet you’re speaking of trends…”

Gongsun Ce leaned against the headboard, lazily continuing the pointless conversation. The long-lost, relaxed exchange made him feel like he was back in the carefree high school days, when ti could be spent freely on entertainnt and communication without worrying about troubleso, complicated matters. As they chatted, he rembered the upcoming plans: “Miss, should we visit other states?”

He reached out to the girl, ready to slowly discuss the future plans. Qin Qianbai turned away, poking his cheek again…

“—Ah Ce, get up!”

“!”

The sharp pain transmitted through his nerves into his brain, causing Gongsun Ce to suddenly sit up. The scent of dust and blood filled his nostrils alongside the violent wind; lightning and fire scorched the distant sky, revealing a long and echoing voice amidst the flashing light. The dragon of transformation was spiraling arrogantly in the chaotic high-altitude.

The battled mories restored in his mind; this was teor City in the United States, and it wasn’t over yet!

Gongsun Ce took a deep breath: “Is everyone still here? How’s the situation?”

“Everyone’s still alive. I prioritized treating Qin Qianbai, she almost died. Next, I attended to you, heavily injured and unconscious.”

Gongsun Ce instinctively raised his right hand; his severed arm had grown back, thanks to Mafan swiftly treating him while kneeling by his side. The doctor’s face was covered in dust, and a mischievous lock of hair dangled from her forehead, softly resting on Gongsun Ce’s face.

“Ah Ce, you were chatting with just now.” Qin Qianbai ntioned, “Talking about antennas, tourism, things like that. Initially, I thought you were joking with until I realized you were babbling.”

Gongsun Ce shook his head vigorously, seeing Qin Qianbai leaning against a white fragnt nearby. Her pale face was devoid of any color, yet her eyes still retained a spark.

“I’m a bit exhausted.” Qin Qianbai remarked.

In the prior battle against the champion, she had summoned an incredible power akin to divine assistance, but that power was now gone. The earth-shattering death duel had caused more damage to her ‘rationale’ than her body. Normally, a Martial Artist stepping into the final realm should solidify their ntal state first; historically, almost no Martial Artist fights a strong enemy imdiately after breaking into the final realm.

“As long as we’re alive.” Gongsun Ce asserted. He grasped Mafan’s hand firmly, forcing himself to stand up from the ground: “Ling and the others…”

“Big sister did her best, now she’s chilling, temporarily serving as a transporter.”

A blue flower blood as Shiyu Ling appeared, along with a dusty Qiluo and Alandia. Normally, she could manage such a small teleportation with a single thought, but this ti she took a full three seconds to accomplish all the steps. This alone indicated to Gongsun Ce how poor her condition was; he felt a sinking feeling, looking down: “Ling, please hold on just a bit longer…”

“I urge you not to push yourself right now!” Shiyu Ling replied irritably, “The transformation dragon is being handled by those two, it’s absolutely fine. For now, wait for reinforcents—”

“He’s not worried about the transformation dragon.” Alandia interjected.

Gongsun Ce stared intently afar, Qiluo followed his gaze to see the fissure Qin Qianbai had slashed through the city. The crystal that previously filled the valley had been destroyed in the battle, leaving the bottom clearly pitch black, yet Gongsun Ce’s deanor was unusually solemn.

“My concern… is for what happens after that!”

Above teor City, on the dragon-slaying battlefield.

The transformation dragon quickly fell into a disadvantage after a brief confrontation. Possessing strength but lacking intellect, its fierce power was futile, often instantly seized by Seviss for her use. It grew fearful; driven by a creature’s survival instinct, it unfurled its wings, soaring upward, yearning to return to the starry cage it was imprisoned in, a sanctuary free from peril.

“Will, figure out a way to lock it first!” Seviss shouted, “I can’t sustain this much longer; we must resolve this swiftly, or serious trouble may arise.”
