Chapter 1156: Chapter 83: The Inextinguishable Fire of Hatred (Part 1)

The ti returns to one day earlier.

“Knight Rakael, I frankly admit that I am a bit nervous.” Akuya licked her lips, “I didn’t expect Her Majesty to send for the interview… I’m worried I might make mistakes; perhaps it’s better to let Knight Gafri handle it?”

“Relax, Knight Akuya, Her Majesty wants to give you a chance to practice. The dia is much easier to deal with than the thirst beasts, as long as you prepare thoroughly in advance, you will handle it effortlessly.”

Rakael lied through his teeth, in reality, no one likes dealing with journalists except politicians. Akuya felt even more tense: “Then what should I prepare? I an, if they ask about my loyalty or responsibilities…”

“Utilize your literary skills! Think of so beautiful taphors.” Rakael prompted.

“You know very well that I rarely read drama or classic literature.” Akuya grumbled, “Let think… how about the moon?”

“Very good, why not?”

The introverted Knight Blana was absent-mindedly flipping through a novel, thinking that Rakael was deliberately teasing Knight Akuya again. She really should read more books, otherwise she wouldn’t fall for such pranks… But Blana had no intention of intervening, thinking that the atmosphere was already so bad, why bother disrupting this little joke.

He silently watched the TV, where the largest TV network in the United States was broadcasting the Queen’s visit to Bibo State. Today, Queen Grey visited the Bibo Comrce Museum located in the capital “Wave City”, expressing praise for the long comrcial history between the two countries. Knight Gafri accompanied the Queen, elegantly and calmly resolving the tricky questions from the US journalists. At the end of this visit, Queen Grey toured the local Holy Water Cathedral and adopted a watermarked giant salamander gifted by the Wave City officials as a symbol of friendship between the two countries. The Sect Leader of the Church got along harmoniously, the local citizens enthusiastically cheered, presenting a perfect political propaganda picture.

But Blana knew there was no truth to it at all. There was no museum, no cathedral, and no adorable pet; Her Majesty the Queen had been giving speeches all over the city since she arrived in Wave City. The background music during her speeches seed to be pure music to enhance the atmosphere, but Blana, being most sensitive to art, listened closely and realized the hidden voice of Ariel Karash in it.

Since when did Queen Grey take a liking to US pop music? The upper echelons all knew that her preferences were the country’s drama and symphonies. Blana couldn’t figure out the necessity of doing this, if it was to negotiate with high officials in the US, there was no need for such covert “publicity”. What was even more bizarre was the behavior of the local citizens; each of Her Majesty’s speeches received their utmost enthusiastic response, and beneath that enthusiasm lay an unusual numbness, like humanoid machines that only knew to cheer and applaud.

“Knight Blana, are you alright?”

A concerned voice ca from behind Blana, the young knight tried his best to suppress his nervousness to avoid showing any flaws. Spy Chief Sekri was standing behind the sofa; despite his old age, he was still full of energy, his white hair was combed neatly, his trim tailcoat resembling an elderly butler.

“I’m a bit worried, Lord Sekri.” Blana said, “I always feel that Knight Akuya might make a mistake…”

“Mr. Blana, you should have confidence in ! I have received professional training, I theoretically know how to deal with the dia!”

Akuya’s patience was at its limit as she listened, Blana chuckled silently. This new knight who joined with him loved socializing, was agile, but lacked artistic cultivation. She always liked to tie her work jacket around her waist, and as soon as no one was watching, she would prop up her legs to play on her phone and take selfies.

Blana occasionally watched animations with Knight Rakael, finding Akuya very much like the so-called “spicy girls” of Zero Island, yet he dared not speak this out loud lest his colleague would certainly get upset.

Blana pursed his lips: “Wish you luck.”

Akuya complained a few more words to him, then went out to prepare for the interview. The first day was Gafri, the second day was Rakael, yesterday it was him, today it was Akuya… Her Majesty the Queen seed to deliberately arrange for every knight to appear in front of the dia; what was this for? Inevitably, Blana thought of the Symbolic Skill.

The young knight’s heart harbored a vague fear, he imdiately told himself to dismiss the thought. How absurd, how could he doubt Her Majesty? Her Majesty, as a Creator Realm Mage, the supre of the country, leading the nation’s revival from disaster; how could she target her devoted subordinates? It’s always the tyrants who deal with loyal ministers; Her Majesty with her far-sighted ambition and diligent governance is truly a wise ruler, how could…

But Blana couldn’t convince himself, knowing that from the mont he had the thought, he began to doubt. Rakael gave him a glance, he was certain the Phantom Knight was signaling him to calm down.

Calm about what? Why calm? Did Knight Rakael have thoughts as well? Blana decided to ask when he found an opportunity, he was neither a mage nor a spy, couldn’t manage those subtle inquiries.

The ti ca to the night of the second day, Her Majesty dining with her loyal knights. The Dawn Knight indicated in the report that they would take action today, but Her Majesty the Queen still adhered to the previous routine, chatting with the Seventh Knight in distant Cangdu during the al. Knight Orianna expressed various concerns about foreign concerts, and Queen Grey assured her, asking her to trust the Dawn Knight’s strategy and the prowess of her old friends.
