Chapter 1012: Chapter 34: Enchanting Mists, Crystal-Clear Reflections (Part 1)_2

“Are you kidding? Who do you think she is? While she was out dominating everyone, you were still doing vocal exercises in the park. Hurry up and call for backup.”

Alandia arrived at the bedroom two minutes later, wearing her heavy robe and a sleeping cap, looking like a noblewoman from the capital three hundred years ago. Qiluo secretly sighed in relief, thinking it was good that Alandia didn’t use that t-shirt as pajamas.

“I’ve decided to take action against the two of them tomorrow morning.” Dawn Knight said after greeting, “We should change our travel thod.”

Shiyu Ling’s face clearly said “See, I knew it,” and Qiluo blankly asked, “We’re not taking the ship anymore?”

“Not for now.”

“Then how will we get to Blade Rain State?”

“We’ll drive there.”

Ten hours later, the Sky Clear was speeding down the main road of Acid Valley State. Yellow-green acidic mist spread across the mountain valleys and wilderness, and the acidic spray from the tires corroded the stones into shards. The sky’s color was murky like vomit, and the entire area looked like an addict’s dream after heavy drinking.

Wawu was tied to the rear trunk, and it opened its mouth to take a sip of the acid mist, turning itself into a peculiar shade of green.

Gongsun Ce sat in the passenger seat of the Sky Clear, looking dazed.

“Huh?” he said.

“…Huh?” said Qin Qianbai in the back seat. She was sandwiched between Qiluo and Shiyu Ling, vividly demonstrating what it ans to be a vulnerable minority struggling for survival.

“Given both of your conditions, we unanimously agreed after discussion to temporarily travel by car. I suggest you gain insights from nature and inspiration from practice, rather than wasting ti on aningless fantasies.”

Gongsun Ce said blankly, “Where do we sleep tonight? Are we going to pitch a tent in this wilderness?”

“Absolutely,” said Alandia, “It’s part of the journey.”

The girls in the back seat began excitedly discussing what kind of tent to set up, while Gongsun Ce stared numbly at the acid rain outside, feeling dizzy.

After the mishap during the cultivation the night before, Alandia strictly forbade him from using his usual cultivation thod. But for a Divine Communication Mage, not cultivating in the temple was like tying one’s hands and feet before a hundred-ter race; no matter how inspired or gifted he was, he wouldn’t make any progress. So Gongsun Ce could only pace around, lost in thought, like a writer unable to co up with a sentence, going in circles over and over. Yet the more he thought, the more he felt himself still in that strange state from that night, feeling like he was nurous fragnts of ashes.

Gongsun Ce had no other choice but to ditate silently. He thought at most it would make others laugh at him for a couple of sentences, but when asures were taken, he suddenly realized how dangerous this state was. He turned his head and asked, “How are you, young miss?”

“I’m normal,” Qin Qianbai said, “I’m thinking about Martial Arts…”

“Qin Qianbai forgot to eat this morning,” Qiluo said, “She almost forgot to sleep last night; it was reminding her.”

Gongsun Ce felt as if he had just downed ten mint candies: “Damn! Quick, quick, quick, hurry and look at the scenery to distract yourself, if this continues, we’ll turn into idiots!”

“Hmm…”

“I beg you, please don’t ‘hmm’, absolutely don’t!”

Alandia stepped on the accelerator, and the Sky Clear sped onward with everyone. This car made by the mysterious seven-color-haired girl had astonishing durability; its tires weren’t hard by the acid liquid in the slightest. They found an acid lake ahead on the road, with the map indicating a detour, but Alandia drove straight towards the lake.

The Sky Clear raced across the water, as if on solid ground.

“Is our car also a Heart Phase Weapon?”

“I’ve previously tried using it to climb cliffs, and the results were very satisfying.”

Dawn Knight seed intent on leaving this troubleso state in a straight line, and after more than an hour of bumps, they left the border of Acid Valley State, entering another area that didn’t look much better. The new land was completely shrouded in gray-blue mist, its humidity surpassing that of chanical State, making Gongsun Ce feel as though droplets were about to form on him. This mist-filled environnt inevitably reminded him of the past, and he frowned, asking, “Alandia, must we take this route?”

“Charming Mist State is a necessary stopover for reaching Blade Rain State by land. This state has also shown abnormal weather, which is worth investigating.”

Gongsun Ce looked around at the pitch-black surroundings, and let out a deep sigh.

Through Qiluo’s explanation, they learned that Charming Mist State was a sparsely populated little state with no unique scenic views or famous cuisine. The local advantage industry comprised unpopular items like gas masks and protective suits. The mist not only interfered with vision but also caused people to see bizarre dreams and illusions.

“What an annoying thing,” Gongsun Ce said irritably, “The locals here probably get driven mad by this place.”

“Most things have their intrinsic value, and mist is no exception.” Alandia pointed ahead, “It’s starting.”

The gray-blue mist began to slowly form figures, and Gongsun Ce frowned in observation. He saw a stone-built arena, like the standard venue for dueling heroes in martial arts films, where a black-haired girl wielding a long blade stood gallantly in the center of the arena, her audience below cheering fervently.

“Anyone else?” the girl proudly raised her blade.

A man in green robes with long hair kneeling at the edge of the arena chuckled casually.

“No one anymore, Qin Qianbai. Now, you are the strongest Martial Artist in the world.”
