The air above Poisonous Swamp was slightly hazy; poisonous particles danced together to form strange shapes that slowly trapped the air, isolating the surroundings from the vast outside environnt of the Eternal Battlefield.
Because of this strange phenonon, the inside of Poisonous Swamp turned even deadlier as ti passed.
However, if you were to ask the veterans about what was the most poisonous thing in the station, they would show a forced smile and lant while sighing.
...
Dawn silently floated while looking at the scenery around him with a scrunched nose; every ti he tried to take a deep breath, he felt as if he had inhaled burning iron.
"What perseverance!" Dawn silently comnted in his heart while glancing at the faces of the people around him.
n and won of various ages, dressed in single pieces of cloth that covered their bodies entirely, not exposing even a bit of skin.
Just as he was observing, his ears twitched as he heard his na in their discussion.
"Have you heard that the vice leader of the Flowing Swamp organization was brutally killed by a newcor?"
The other person hearing this imdiately tried to deny it. "Are you high or sothing? How could a newbie kill the vice leader? From what I know, that crooked man is already an established Silver ranker."
After listening for a mont, he turned his focus away; it appeared the news was suppressed as no one had been able to recognize him.
His outfit was too catchy; anyone who was even slightly familiar with the matter could have easily understood his identity.
Anyway, with ti people were bound to know about him, so he didn’t mind.
After dealing with the crooked man, he had sent all of his henchn to the shadow realm without a second thought.
No hesitation. No regret.
And yet... sothing in the air felt different now.
Had he crossed a line?
His lips curled in amusent. No. They were the ones who preyed on the weak. He had simply shown them what true prey looked like
Those who used swords to harvest lives should be prepared to face the sa sword one day.
He wasn’t worried that he had fully offended the Flowing Swamp organization; if he was given a second chance, he would follow the sa script without hesitation.
In the next mont, he shook his head and stopped thinking about useless things.
Ti was running out; he had been in the Eternal Battlefield for too long. If he didn’t head back to reality, his family mbers would start to worry.
"Now where should I find a room to stay?"
Dawn turned his head to look at the slightly slippery street, and in the next mont his eyes flashed.
He noticed a bright red sign with the word ’Lodging.’
Without hesitating, he started to move.
...
Kane watched the direction in which Dawn had left with a slightly dazed look in his eyes.
The sight of the man’s ruthless eyes when he glanced at him was still fresh in his mind.
Kane’s tightly clenched fist was slightly shaking.
The boy’s gaze, filled with unimaginable bloodlust and supre indifference for life, made him realize.
"How can soone be so cruel?"
"To kill a fellow human being without blinking an eye."
In the end, he turned his gaze away and muttered while looking at the sky.
At this ti, the sound of gentle footsteps followed a voice as sweet as honey.
"In reality, the most poisonous thing in this station is not its air, but the human mind."
Mrs. Jenkins walked over with a solemn smile.
Mrs. Jenkins’ first instinct had been to recruit him. Talents like his were rare.
But then she had seen his eyes. Cold. Detached. Completely unburdened by morality.
She had recruited killers before, but Dawn was sothing else entirely. A blade without a sheath. A storm without a master.
She shuddered, not in fear—but in realization. This was the kind of man who could upend the entire station if left unchecked.
Mrs. Jenkins felt as if she had dodged a calamity; recruiting such a dangerous man was the sa as feeding milk to a snake.
Then her gaze shifted to the blonde-haired young man beside her.
She imdiately noticed the strong contrast; Kane’s eyes were still filled with shock and pain for the fallen.
This ti she truly felt good.
"Kane, don’t worry, there have been nurous evil people like him, but none had the last laugh."
"Shortly, soone from the upper echelons will take care of him; after all, the big shots can’t have a demon run amok."
While saying these words, her eyes flashed with a mysterious glint.
...
Dawn sat in a room with his eyes closed, his breathing steady.
After paying a single Iron Rank stats crystal, he had rented this room.
Now in the Eternal Battlefield, this place could be considered his ho.
Before heading to the real world, he had decided to rank up.
Although if he wanted, he could have ranked up in the real world, but he was worried about the commotion it would cause.
So after thinking of all the things, he decided to breakthrough here.
"Let’s begin..."
Dawn muttered with his eyes still closed, and once again focused on the blue windows floating in front of him.
[Congratulations Brave warrior, you have reached the absolute limits of Iron Grade.]
[Proceed with the rank up process.]
[Yes/No.]
Dawn stared at the blue window, his finger hovering over the "Yes" option.
Sothing about this felt... different. Almost as if the Absolute Order itself was watching him.
He exhaled slowly. There was no turning back now.
His finger tapped the window.
In the next mont, nurous windows flashed in front of him like a waterfall, catching him by surprise.
He had never heard about anyone receiving ssages from Absolute Order while breaking through.
A strange feeling suddenly rose in his heart; was he given special treatnt by the Absolute Order?
With a dazed look in his eyes, he went through the windows one by one.
[Analyzing achievents.]
[One Epic grade achievent detected.]
[Skills have been successfully analyzed!]
[Evaluation - perfect.]
[Breakthrough will begin now.]
Just as Dawn’s eyes landed on the last window, he felt strands of mana rush toward him from all directions.
Mana surged toward him in waves, an unseen tide crashing against his skin.
Every pore of his body drank it in greedily, his veins igniting with liquid silver.
A sharp, electric sensation crawled up his spine, like his bones were being reforged from the inside out.
Dawn felt every pore on his body cry out in joy, and imdiately a blissful sensation filled his body.
As ti passed, his body started to get covered in a layer of silvery white mbrane.
