They're really just playing ghosts!

After having dinner with two won, Suming almost reached the animal park by 8:30 pm, and it was completely dark. As soon as they entered the gate and walked a short distance along the path, they noticed shadowy figures in the grove not far from the roadside.

Every certain distance on the ground of the animal park's grove, a laser light had been installed, which not only illuminated the area but also set the mood. The faint light shone into the woods, casting an eerie green hue, and in the late evening, a group of people andering through the woods looked just like a horde of zombies at first glance.

When Suming approached, the 'zombies' all turned their faces towards him and burst into a foolish 'ho ho ho' laughter, their faces ghostly pale under the light.

"Cut, cut, cut!" Guo Zijian erged from the side, gaphone in hand.

"What's going on here?" Suming was utterly confused but fortunate that he was brave and already knew they were filming; anyone else might have jumped out of their skin.

"You all keep practicing!"

Guo Zijian raised his gaphone and shouted at the crowd before pulling Suming aside and said in a hushed voice, "Mr. Su, this is a bit tricky, your park's staff doesn't seem quite cut out for being extras..."

Yesterday, Suming and Guo Zijian were discussing the casting of actors and needed a group of extras. Suming suggested enlisting the park's employees for two reasons: to save money and to provide so fun for the staff. Guo Zijian had agreed on the spot.

Agreeing was one thing, but auditioning was still a must. During the day, Guo Zijian realized that the park's staff really wasn't suited for the job. Out of consideration for Suming's feelings, he didn't want to replace them, so he called the staff together in the evening to practice acting like zombies on the lawn to get that 'walking dead' feeling.

"Su Sheng, it's my fault for not thinking this through. Acting cool does require so acting skills," Guo Zijian gently voiced his concern.

The group of extras in the script was ant to be a 'killing tool' bred from childhood by the villain—although they still looked human, they were utterly devoid of humanity, cold like a steel blade, sowhat like the war machines in the Arican blockbuster 'Soldier'.

It would have been more suitable for Long Wu to play such a part; casting the park's staff as ordinary mbers of society would have been fine, but this role was indeed a bit too challenging.

"Mmm, you can't be blad for this, it was my assumption," Suming patted Guo Zijian's shoulder. "Luckily, we still have ti. While you train them, I'll think of a solution. How's Nangong Huang doing?"

If the extras were unqualified, that was manageable, but if the male lead was inadequate, it would be a real problem.

"Him? OK, completely OK!" Guo Zijian gave a thumbs up. "After you left, I had him do a few scenes, and he felt very good, just going with his natural acting was fine. He was a little nervous, but more cara exposure should help."

Guo Zijian hesitated, then said, "I'm an outsider, and it's not my place to ask. Su Sheng, how's your situation? His mood seems to be very much affected by you. After you left, he seed distracted."

"No problem, just so minor business disputes, they're all sorted out. I'll talk to him," Suming nodded and then asked, "What about the female lead? Do you have anyone in mind?"

"No," Guo Zijian shook his head as if it didn't matter much.

Compared to the male lead, the female lead in the drama existed rely as a pretty face, and even that presence was minimal. Anyone could play the part. Strictly speaking, this low-budget film didn't even have a true female lead, so Guo Zijian wasn't worried at all—any good-looking woman in front of the cara would suffice.

"Su Sheng, are you sure those animals are not going to be a problem? Sorry to ask, not that I doubt your expertise, but as a director, I must confirm every detail. This film relies entirely on the animals; if they can't perform, we'll have to resort to animation and special effects..."

Although Suming had repeatedly assured that the animals would be fine, Guo Zijian remained concerned.

```
As for special effects, expecting animation effects with a ten million investnt? What a joke.
"How about this, I'll take you to the zoo for a tour, get familiar with it," Suming said.
...
Zhao Yun's ho.
"Baby, why did you co back so early today?" Zhao Yun, with his legs crossed, leaned on the sofa and saw Chengcheng and Zhaoqian returning. He put down the newspaper, patted the seat beside him, and gestured for Chengcheng to co sit down.
Chengcheng's little mouth was pouting so much it could hold an oil bottle, her little cheeks bearing the word 'dejected'. She threw down her backpack, sat on the sofa, and, with hands propping up her slightly chubby cheeks, sighed like a little adult.
"Ah, life, it's full of betrayal!" Chengcheng said sorrowfully.
Zhao Yun almost sprayed a mouthful of tea, his eyes wide as he looked at Zhaoqian, who had brought Chengcheng ho.
From a distance, Zhaoqian waved to Zhao Yun, signaling that it was nothing serious.
"What's wrong, tell Dad? Who betrayed you?" Zhao Yun rubbed Chengcheng's head and asked with a smile.
"Zhang Xinyi, Shen Junjun, Chai Xiaofei! These three traitors!" Chengcheng said.
The three nas she ntioned were 'like thunder to the ear' for Zhao Yun; they were Chengcheng's best friends in her class, two girls and a boy, usually following around Chengcheng, who acted quite the elder sister among them.
Zhao Yun laughed and said, "How did they betray you?"
"Yue Tao had a drama performance for the Children's Day celebration and won the second prize in the whole city. Now they're calling Yue Tao a big star! Hmph, what's so great about that! Now all the class plays with Yue Tao."
"Yue Tao... oh..." Zhao Yun drew out his tone. That little guy ca from a well-off family, his father a governnt official and his mother an artist. He had always been popular at school. But Chengcheng was even more popular because she often brought her classmates to the zoo for free and got them autographs from Taoyuan live strears. On the last spring trip, she even invited many fox immortals from Ancient Moon Xian Residence to play with everyone.
The two little ones had always been in 'competition'. Yue Tao used to be the one overshadowed, but now the tables had turned, no wonder Chengcheng was unhappy.
Zhao Yun didn't plan to indulge his daughter's complaint. In life, how could one always be ahead of everyone else in every matter?
It was necessary to give her so education in frustration from a young age, so he said with a smile, "Then you can play with other children."
Chengcheng angrily punched the sofa, "Dad, you don't understand, Yue Tao is so an!"
Next, little Chengcheng listed a whole bunch of Yue Tao's misdeeds.
Zhao Yun listened on the side; actually, there was nothing particularly bad, just the usual arrogant swagger after turning the tables, the once unattainable now acting indifferent. Upon eting, he was haughty and would say so sour words behind her back. Kids that age couldn't really be that malicious.
The world of children is also a little society, and as long as it's not too excessive, adults shouldn't interfere too much; children will naturally form their own set of rules.
However, the last sentence she said caught Zhao Yun's attention.
