The Soul Power seed to be probing all the rcenary groups. Since they did this, there must be so unspeakable secret!
However, that person hadn't expected to encounter a freak like Lin Chen, who just happened to be resting on a tree, and whose Soul Power was extrely strong, making him very sensitive to the Soul Power of others, detecting it imdiately.
But after Lin Chen detected that Soul Power, he didn't release his own Soul Power, so the other party was probably unaware of his presence.
Lin Chen gazed into the forest shrouded in darkness in the distance, frowning in thought:
"So late, what exactly does this person intend to do? Could it be that my previous suspicions were correct, and those people are finally making their move?"
Reflecting for a mont, Lin Chen glanced at the people below who seed to be asleep, and then, in a flash, the silhouette on the branch had disappeared.
A mont later, Lin Chen arrived in a dense forest.
To investigate everything, Lin Chen had just used Thunder Roar Step, silently covering several miles in an instant. He was still standing on a tall tree branch, where the previous Soul Power had emanated.
"Could they have left already?"
Lin Chen frowned and contained his aura. After observing his surroundings for a while, he didn't find any sign of anyone.
After waiting again for a mont, he felt a bit disappointed and was about to head back when suddenly a shadow flickered in the corner of his eye, and Lin Chen imdiately turned his head to see a figure disappearing around the bend at the forest's edge.
Narrowing his eyes, and after pondering for a mont, Lin Chen pursued without hesitation.
The speed of that shadow was astonishingly fast, and only after Lin Chen used the Thunder Roar Step could he keep up. Knowing Lin Chen's speed was not slower than a deity-level master, could it be that he's tracking a deity-level master?
Feeling unsure, Lin Chen knew that while he was powerful and often fought beyond his level, if he truly encountered a deity-level master, especially one of the third or fourth tier, it might be difficult to escape!
However, things had co to this point, the whole situation seed confusing, and if the mystery wasn't personally unraveled, Lin Chen would feel very stifled, so he continued to follow that shadow without hesitation.
Under the moonlight, the two raced forward with incredible speed, soon leaving the rcenary groups far behind.
About an hour later, the shadow ahead finally stopped, and Lin Chen also cautiously maintained his distance, slowly coming to a halt, completely concealing his aura, hiding carefully in the dark.
He saw the shadow had reached a cliff's edge, and a few more steps forward would be an unknown height of the cliff. The shadow stood at the cliff's edge, seed to observe for a mont, and then, to Lin Chen's amazent, leaped down!
Lin Chen frowned but didn't rashly follow imdiately. Instead, he waited a while, and after confirming that the shadow had moved away a bit, he cautiously approached the cliff's edge.
At the cliff's edge, Lin Chen looked down. In the darkness, nothing was quite clear. Suddenly, the moon erged from behind the clouds, and Lin Chen saw below a thick mist, making everything appear indistinct, and the shadow had vanished from Lin Chen's sight.
"How to go down? Could that person be here to seek death?"
After thinking for a while, Lin Chen quickly dismissed this ridiculous idea, thinking to himself:
"I saw that person go down with my own eyes, no mistake about it! Could there be so mystery below? No matter what, since they could go down, I should be able to do it too! I refuse to believe I'll fall to my death today!"
Having made up his mind, Lin Chen took a light breath and then leapt down!
"Whoosh—whoosh—"
The wind whistled past his ears as Lin Chen felt his body rapidly descending.
Suddenly, a black shadow appeared before Lin Chen's eyes!
Lin Chen's expression changed, but he quickly relaxed and then reached out to grab that black shadow, flipping onto it, realizing that the long shadow was just a vine.
At this mont, standing on the vine, Lin Chen looked around at other similar long black shadows amidst the indistinct white mist, and the person earlier had disappeared.
Hanging mid-air, Lin Chen felt a bit troubled. Was it really going to end in vain today?
Just then, Lin Chen suddenly sensed an energy fluctuation coming from not far below and then quickly disappearing, as if it had never appeared.
His expression shifted, and he glanced around, imdiately leaping high and landing on a vine below.
In this way, Lin Chen hopped repeatedly across the interwoven vines, instantly advancing a long distance, soon approaching the source of that divine energy fluctuation.
Now, standing on a vine, under the bright moonlight, Lin Chen discovered a section of sheer cliff ahead, and not far below was a deep cave. Lin Chen concluded that the prior energy fluctuation had emanated from the cave!
Eyeing the cave, Lin Chen squinted, and then without hesitation, leapt down, making no sound upon landing, with skills even surpassing that of a monkey.
Upon landing, Lin Chen carefully gathered his aura and looked into the cave, but it was absolute darkness, revealing nothing.
After hesitating for a mont, Lin Chen decided not to use Divine Sense, knowing that the other person also possessed Soul Power, and using Divine Sense might easily expose him.
Thus, Lin Chen maintained his Divine Sense within a yard of his body, slowly entering the cave.
Though the cave lacked light, Lin Chen could sense its considerable size. He cautiously proceeded forward.
A mont later, as soon as Lin Chen stepped forward, a fierce aura abruptly erupted, followed by a loud shout, as an exceptionally sharp Sword Qi attacked him!
"What! A deity-level master!"
In almost an instant, Lin Chen realized the attacker's cultivation was at the deity realm, far stronger than the Xiao Jie he had previously defeated!
