Upon hearing this, Lin Chen nodded. Although he didn't know what the so-called Heavenly Pool was, it should be an opportunity for him, so he didn't ask much. After exchanging a few more words with Sword Bone, he left.
Sword Bone watched the departing figure, his eyes flickering, and muttered to himself in a voice only he could hear:
"Pavilion Master, this Lin Chen seems to be even more outstanding than you anticipated!"
At this mont, Lin Chen had returned to his own cave residence. After delving into sword intent once more, he devoted himself entirely to his cultivation practice.
A whole month passed. Except for one trip out to sell the materials he obtained from the Tianshui Secret Realm, Lin Chen hardly ever left, continuously cultivating in his cave or the surrounding mountains. During this process, his cultivation realm improved significantly, and with a massive accumulation of divine crystals, he finally broke through to the sixth level of the spiritual realm.
Reaching the sixth level, Lin Chen's strength grew comprehensively. Sensing the condensed divine energy within him, Lin Chen felt that if he were to face Ning Yan again, he could defeat him without exerting all his ans. As for soone like Qian Jin, he could defeat him with ease.
However, during this period, Lin Chen focused not on his cultivation realm but on his swordsmanship.
Lin Chen had nearly mastered the first three forms of the Tianyan Nine Forms, and he also began cultivating the Heavenly Sword Sect's Sword Elent Art. So of its thods were quite miraculous, yet Lin Chen still couldn't successfully execute the fourth form of the Tianyan Nine Forms. Although helpless, he accepted this limitation for now.
Additionally, after gaining insight into sword intent at the Enlightennt Sword Pavilion, Lin Chen often stood atop mountains, feeling the presence of the ranges and the fierce winds, drawing inspiration to elevate his sword intent further.
According to Lin Chen's estimation, his current sword intent had surpassed the limit of one point but had not yet reached two points, roughly reaching one and a half points.
Though just a re half-point increase in sword intent, it significantly enhanced his sword techniques, which was why Lin Chen was confident he could easily defeat Ning Yan.
To effortlessly defeat a ninth-level spiritual realm cultivator while being only at the sixth level is a feat only Lin Chen, with his near-monster capabilities, could achieve. Moreover, Lin Chen's strongest thods weren't even these but his soul techniques!
However, the power of soul techniques is imnse and can easily attract trouble, so Lin Chen remained cautious, rarely showing his soul techniques.
Quickly, the month slipped by quietly. On this day, Lin Chen continued his practice atop the mountain. A series of mountain winds hit him, shifting from their usual ferocity to an almost gentle spring breeze.
Lin Chen quietly sensed the change, sotis frowning, sotis making commanding gestures, with a subtle resonance forming between him and the mountain winds.
After a long ti, Lin Chen paused his movents. At this mont, his expression changed, and with a flip of his hand, a token appeared in his palm, followed by a familiar voice:
"Lin Chen, gather at the Heavenly Sword Plaza now. We set out for the Heavenly Pool!"
Upon hearing this, Lin Chen understood.
"It seems it's ti to head out. A month of arduous practice, hehe, I hope the Heavenly Pool doesn't disappoint !"
Shortly, Lin Chen arrived at the Heavenly Sword Plaza, imdiately spotting Sword Bone along with several others beside him, including Qian Jin, Wu Lang, Chu Hanrou, and Wu Yaohan. Four out of the so-called top five external sect disciples were present, but for so reason, Mu Zhan hadn't arrived.
Seeing Lin Chen approaching, Sword Bone laughed heartily and said:
"Alright, since Lin Chen is here, we can set out. This trip to the Heavenly Pool is full of benefits, no downsides, so rest assured! As long as your talent isn't too lacking, you'll surely get satisfactory results this ti."
Everyone nodded at these words. Including Lin Chen, there were five people. Besides Chu Hanrou, the other four looked at Lin Chen sowhat peculiarly.
Lin Chen thought for a mont and guessed that Qian Jin must have told them about the millennium stone heart milk incident, hence their unfriendly looks.
Wu Lang even said outright:
"Kid, don't think that ambushing and defeating Qian Jin makes you sothing special! Let
tell you, if I get the chance, I'll make you regret ever doing what you did!"
Lin Chen remained unfazed by these words, having heard many threats before, but still alive and well. As for Wu Lang, his strength was only at the latter stage of the ninth level in the spiritual realm, which didn't intimidate Lin Chen.
So, Lin Chen rely rolled his eyes and ignored him, almost causing Wu Lang to jump in anger.
However, Sword Bone promptly intervened to stop Wu Lang from saying anything more:
"Enough! You're representing the disciples of the Heavenly Sword Sect this ti. Whatever grudges you have, settle them privately, but don't disgrace
out there!"
Hearing Sword Bone's slightly stern words, even Wu Lang dared not speak further.
The middle-aged man beside Sword Bone chuckled and said:
"Elder, it's normal for young people to be lively! Let's not interfere. Let's go, shall we?"
This middle-aged man was also an elder of the Heavenly Sword Sect, nad Zhang Kui, referred to by everyone as Elder Zhang.
Soon, the five of them boarded Sword Bone's giant sword, flying towards the Heavenly Pool under the envious gazes of many disciples below.
The journey was mostly silent, and after about half a day's travel, Lin Chen and his group arrived at an unassuming mountain range. They then descended slowly, where not far away on a clearing, many figures were already waiting.
As Lin Chen and the others arrived, a thin, goateed old man stepped forward:
"Hehe! Sword Bone Elder, Elder Zhang, you're a bit late this year!"
Sword Bone rely smiled slightly, but Elder Zhang was more affable, chatting with the goateed old man:
"Elder Wang, we were held up at the sect for a bit, sorry to keep you waiting!"
Soon, several others approached, and Lin Chen's expression turned playful.
Because he was familiar with the newcors; all the leading disciples from each sect were here.
It turned out that the Heavenly Pool was originally an unclaid land, but after being discovered by the five major sects, they couldn't settle their disputes over it, so they decided to use it as a place to reward their disciples.
