Although Chu Hanrou was unsure of what Lin Chen intended to do, she felt an inexplicable familiarity with him. It was as if she had known Lin Chen or had previous interactions with him. Yet, she couldn't quite confirm the reason for this inexplicable feeling.

At this mont, Lin Chen exhaled softly, then looked calmly at Chu Hanrou and said with no emotion:

"Take a break, I'll handle Xiong Zhan!"

"Uh?"

Chu Hanrou was taken aback. Although she sensed Lin Chen's cultivation had reached the fifth level of Martial Artist, which was extraordinary and pure, comparable to the sixth level, Xiong Zhan was at the eighth level of Martial Artist. Despite Lin Chen's prior victory over a seventh-level opponent, she was still skeptical about his ability to defeat Xiong Zhan, and couldn't help but say:

"Lin Chen, I know you're strong, but Xiong Zhan has been at the eighth level of Martial Artist for quite a while. You probably can't beat him!"

Lin Chen slightly smiled at this remark, then replied with calm but exceptional confidence:

"No worries, I just want to challenge myself. You can rest for a while!"

Seeing Lin Chen's undeniable confidence, Chu Hanrou said no more. Curiously, she found herself inexplicably filled with confidence in Lin Chen, even to her own surprise.

Xiong Zhan glanced at Lin Chen with a scornful expression, then said:

"What's this? Can't handle an eighth-level Martial Artist, so you send a fifth-level one? Hey! If you can't do it, hand over the jade and materials, we won't make things difficult for you, why humiliate yourselves?"

Humiliate ourselves?

Lin Chen chuckled internally, then shot a cold glance at Xiong Zhan and said:

"It's said that the disciples of the Chiyan Sect are formidable in close combat. Today, I want to experience it myself!"

With that, divine energy surged through Lin Chen's ridians, transforming his aura from calm to sowhat violent, as if his entire stature had grown, with his muscles and bones strengthened.

Ignoring Xiong Zhan's startled expression, Lin Chen smiled slightly, then thunder rolled under his feet as he swiftly turned into a phantom and charged at Xiong Zhan.

"Haha! Good move!"

As they say, experts can recognize skill instantly. The explosive speed and powerful aura Lin Chen showed made Xiong Zhan realize he may have underestimated Lin Chen. Yet, he still believed Lin Chen was not his match.

Xiong Zhan's aura centered again, every muscle radiating imnse power. At this mont, Lin Chen reached Xiong Zhan's front.

Lin Chen hesitated not, divine energy erupted from his ridians, surging out instantly, then his fist, wrapped in violent divine energy, shot out like a missile, even causing the air to compress slightly in front of his fist!

Xiong Zhan felt Lin Chen's attack most directly, imdiately putting away his disdainful thoughts as he shouted lowly, eting Lin Chen's fist with his own, enveloped in earthy divine energy, colliding heavily.

"Boom!"

Their fists clashed, producing a muffled sound, and both retreated, taking several steps back.

Feeling the lingering heat in his fists, Xiong Zhan was astounded.

"How is this possible? A fifth-level Martial Artist's divine energy is so violent? And such a robust physique? Is this typical for a fifth-level Martial Artist? It's monstrous!"

Xiong Zhan now viewed Lin Chen as a freak. The Chiyan Sect is renowned for its decisive close-combat training, with each disciple's combat strength not being weak, usually emphasizing physical strength. But an eighth-level Martial Artist like Xiong Zhan matched evenly with a fifth-level opponent – unbelievable before, but now reality.

For a mont, all four looked at Lin Chen with peculiar gazes, as his combat prowess overturned their understanding.

No one noticed Qian Jin's eyes flickering with suspicion, gazing at Lin Chen as if he harbored a secret.

Lin Chen was quite excited, having mostly faced opponents without strong physical combat skills, relying on his swordsmanship in past battles. But now faced with an opponent from the Chiyan Sect, Lin Chen was eager to engage directly with Xiong Zhan.

That initial clash was almost his full strength, yet only matched Xiong Zhan evenly. Lin Chen felt his cells and muscles pulsing with energy.

Lin Chen smiled slightly, squinting at Xiong Zhan, then charged forward:

"Big guy! Co on!"

"Hmph! Arrogant!"

Despite knowing Lin Chen's strength, Xiong Zhan remained defiant and refused to back down, charging at Lin Chen.

"Boom boom!"

The two quickly engaged, each countering the other's punches and kicks in a lively exchange.

As the fight continued, Xiong Zhan grew increasingly shocked, realizing Lin Chen's cultivation was lower, but his divine energy was abundant and seemingly endless, staying powerful throughout the fight.

They exchanged blows furiously, initially, Xiong Zhan used full force, holding an upper hand, while Lin Chen rely defended without counterattacking.

But as they fought, Xiong Zhan noticed Lin Chen's surprising strength had increased, albeit slightly, barely noticeable but detectable to his keen senses.

Rising strength during combat?

If initially Xiong Zhan saw Lin Chen as a genius fighting above his level, he now regarded Lin Chen as an equal opponent.

Lin Chen felt joyful too, sensing as the fight went on, despite starting from a disadvantage, the last bit of energy from the thousand-year Stone Heart milk within him was activated.
