It turns out that after entering the Heaven Water Secret Realm, Qian Jin and Chu Hanrou were not together initially, but after slaying many beasts, they coincidentally t up.

Then, Qian Jin and Chu Hanrou tead up and slew many beasts together until they discovered a lair of phantom wolves in a valley.

The cultivation level of this pack of phantom wolves was around the fifth level of Martial Artist, making them not too difficult to slay, but there were a lot of them. The two of them ended up killing as many as twenty to thirty phantom wolves in a short period.

It's worth noting that they were originally after the jade slips. Although they knew higher-level jade slips were better, the sheer number of phantom wolves was like a pile of jade slips laid before them. Even though the level was a bit lower, it was better than nothing, so how could they give up?

Thus, the two of them kept slaying these phantom wolves, but during this, Qian Jin noticed sothing was off because there was no wolf king among the pack, and all the phantom wolves seed to be running from another direction, as if fleeing from sothing.

Furthermore, after slaying a phantom wolf, Qian Jin accidentally discovered the scent of god energy on the ground, as if soone had left a mark.

By then, Qian Jin had already guessed that this pack of phantom wolves was likely being ambushed by others, and the ones led by the phantom wolf king were probably fighting with those people!

In other words, these phantom wolves were first discovered by others, but Qian Jin, looking at the increasing number of jade slips in his hands, was reluctant to give up!

However, after Qian Jin and Chu Hanrou killed so more phantom wolves, the Chi Yan Sect people finally appeared. They consisted of three disciples, two at the ninth level of Martial Artist and one at the eighth level. Upon encountering Qian Jin and Chu Hanrou, they were infuriated, but Qian Jin and Chu Hanrou insisted they didn't know the phantom wolves were being ambushed by the sect.

Imdiately, they started fighting. Though both Qian Jin and Xiao Hancheng were at the ninth level of Martial Artist, Qian Jin had lost an arm, diminishing his strength. Most importantly, the Chi Yan Sect had a ninth level Martial Artist disciple with striking red hair whose aura was daunting to Qian Jin.

Though Qian Jin didn't know the extent of that red-haired man's power, he decided to flee imdiately. The red-haired man didn't attack himself but sent the other two disciples to chase Qian Jin.

Thus, the current scene unfolded, with Lin Chen watching the standoff, the energy in his ridians quietly circulating, ready to strike if things went awry.

Xiao Hancheng glanced at Lin Chen without much concern after realizing his cultivation was only at the fourth level of Martial Artist, then signaled to Xiong Mu, who imdiately understood.

Xiao Hancheng snorted coldly, releasing his ninth-level Martial Artist aura, locking onto Qian Jin:

"Hmph! Qian Jin, I want to see how you dare to swallow our phantom wolves!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Xiao Hancheng moved, forming a fist to attack Qian Jin directly.

Seeing this, Qian Jin's expression was sowhat unusual, but the blatant disrespect sparked his fighting spirit:

"Bring it on!"

Instantly, his aura exploded, and the two ninth-level Martial Artists began to fight fiercely.

Xiao Hancheng's attack was fierce, his fists and feet seemingly burning with flas, attacking Qian Jin straightforwardly, while Qian Jin, despite losing an arm and a dip in battle power, unsheathed his sword and was able to handle it skillfully, not likely to lose shortly.

Even from afar, Lin Chen could feel the shockwaves from their battle, stirring sothing within him.

"Ninth-level Martial Artists, indeed powerful, but if really fighting, I might not be scared!"

Previously, Lin Chen had fought face-to-face with eighth-level Martial Artists. Though so sneakiness was involved, he hadn't used his entire strength. If he were to unleash all his hidden cards, Lin Chen believed he could battle a ninth-level Martial Artist.

No need to say more, if really angered, with Lin Chen's Four Symbols Soul-Extermination Strike, no one below the god level could withstand a single move from him!

As Lin Chen watched the battle between Qian Jin and Xiao Hancheng, occasionally comnting in his mind, Xiong Zhan, who had been eyeing with intent, burst into laughter, then said to Chu Hanrou:

"Ice Fairy! I advise you to hand over the materials and jade slips you've acquired! You know Qian Jin's strength has waned, and it's only a matter of ti before he's defeated by Xiao Hancheng, an undeniable fact!"

Aligned with Qian Jin, Chu Hanrou couldn't yield, snorting coldly and saying:

"Xiong Zhan! Those phantom wolves were slain by us, how do they beco yours? Why must we return them to you? Hmph, everything in the Heaven Water Mountains is part of the competition; why should all those phantom wolves go to you? Fine, if you want them, claim them with your strength!"

Though Chu Hanrou appeared frail, her words left no room for concession. Xiong Zhan, initially hoping a few words would make her give up, saw it was impossible now.

Gradually, Xiong Zhan's expression turned cold, saying to Chu Hanrou:

"Fine! I gave you a choice, but you didn't cherish it; now don't bla

for being ruthless!"

With that, Xiong Zhan's brawny body shook, and a strong aura began to rise, revealing himself to be at the eighth level of Martial Artist, targeting Chu Hanrou!

As for Lin Chen nearby, Xiong Zhan paid him no mind, unaware Lin Chen had already advanced. To him, considering Lin Chen a fourth-level Martial Artist, even if he mastered Sword Intent, he was no match, thus disregarding Lin Chen as insignificant.

However, Lin Chen was happy to watch the scene unfold; after all, it didn't affect his interests, and he had no grudges against the Chi Yan Sect. Xiao Hancheng and Xiong Zhan ignoring Lin Chen aligned with his wishes, allowing him to simply enjoy the spectacle.
