Lin Chen led a dozen Dragon Squad warriors, silently approaching the base.

The group advanced almost in a crawl, as getting closer to the base increased the chance of being discovered.

Fortunately, it was night, and the shrubs and rocks provided cover, otherwise the patrolling rcenaries would have already spotted them.

As they were within ten ters of the base, they were discovered.

One warrior accidentally stepped on a can, and the patrolling rcenary shouted, "Who goes there?"

But as soon as the words fell, a cold light flashed, and a crossbow bolt shot into the rcenary's chest, and he fell to the ground.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, several feathered arrows shot out, taking down several of the rcenaries at the concealed posts.

This battle aid to avoid alerting the enemy, so guns were not used; Dragon Squad fighters utilized modified crossbows.

These elites virtually possessed skills to hit the bullseye from a hundred paces.

As they approached, they had already targeted several rcenaries at the hidden posts based on the map drawn by Lin Chen.

Lin Chen's map was nearly flawless, allowing the Dragon Squad to gain an overwhelming advantage from the start.

As more fell, the base alarm finally sounded, alerting the entire base.

The rcenaries, both those just fallen asleep and those on guard duty, rushed out of the base.

However, as soon as they erged, they faced a wave of counterattacks from the Dragon Squad warriors.

Dozens of modified crossbows fired simultaneously like raindrops, with every bolt hitting its mark, leaving the rcenaries who rushed out dead or retreating in an instant.

The clash resulted in heavy casualties, shocking the rcenaries inside the base by the overwhelming firepower—who exactly were these people?

Though only a dozen Dragon Squad mbers were present, due to their accuracy, the rcenaries felt as if surrounded by hundreds of attackers.

Frustratingly, their dark post had six powerful poisonous crossbows, which emboldened them to charge out, but those heavy weapons remained silent at the mont.

"Fall back to the base." A small leader, grim-faced, shouted at the remaining rcenaries, looking at the two dozen corpses at the base gate.

Inside the base, the leader was engaging in bestiality with a woman under him when the alarm startled him off the bed.

He hurriedly climbed out of bed, not even buttoning his shirt, grabbed a gun, and ran out.

"What's going on, what's going on?" The base leader asked, agitatedly.

"Boss, it's bad; we're under attack by unknown individuals, likely Dragon Squad mbers stord in." A rcenary reported in a panic.

"Slap!" A loud slap sounded.

"What are you panicking for? Hold your ground." The base leader angrily shouted, holding his gun, as he prepared to reclaim the base entrance.

But as soon as he poked his head out, his two n were knocked down.

This ti, even the base leader panicked.

"Feng Cilang, Sawada, both of you quickly go to the Spiritual Beast pit and destroy those spiritual beasts; we mustn't let the Huaxia people discover them." The base leader ordered shakily.

These two Island Nation warriors were martial arts experts given by Yuan Tiangang, each with high-level Void God Realm strength.

The two were incredibly loyal to Yuan Tiangang, nodded, and hurried toward the base.

Watching the two Island Nation warriors leave, the base leader sighed in relief, his eyes flashing decisively.

"Hold your positions; anyone who falls back will be shot by ." The base leader fud, holding his gun.

Yet as soon as he spoke, several grenades fell from the sky.

"Grenades!" The rcenaries' faces changed.

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!

The grenades didn't explode but emitted streams of white mist.

"It's smoke bombs!" Soone suddenly shouted.

Nearly simultaneously, cold glints flashed within the white mist.

One by one, the rcenaries' throats were slashed with blades as they fell to the ground.

Just minutes later, the ground was littered with bodies.

When the mist cleared, the base leader stared at the bodies in shock.

Damn, what just happened? What was the shadow that just passed by?

anwhile, Lin Chen had eliminated over a dozen rcenaries and rushed swiftly towards the base interior.

Guided by Xiao Shuai, he soon reached the cage holding the spiritual beasts.

As he stepped through the door, he felt a numbness above him, and a katana descended from overhead, aiming for Lin Chen's neck.

Lin Chen coldly snorted, sidestepped the attack from above.

Almost as he evaded the overhead katana, Lin Chen kicked heavily at Feng Cilang's body.

"Boom!"

With a muffled sound, Feng Cilang was kicked by Lin Chen directly into the beast pool.

In the pool below, the spiritual beasts saw soone fall in, screeched, and lunged.

Feng Cilang tried to stand, but realized his ribs were broken from Lin Chen's kick, unable to move.

The spiritual beasts furiously sward, and with a tragic scream, an Island Nation Void God Realm expert was torn into pieces.

Seeing his companion die so gruesoly, the other Island Nation martial artist, Sawada, held a bomb remote control, eyes burning with revenge.

"Dammit, you dared kill Feng Cilang; I'll bury you with him." Sawada shouted, intending to detonate the bomb.

But at the instant, Lin Chen's eyes flashed with golden light, Sawada's expression changed, and his hand stopped before the bomb detonator.

"Master!" Sawada obediently handed the bomb remote to Lin Chen.

Lin Chen took the remote, feeling a surge of anger as he looked at the scattered white bones on the ground.

Just learned from the rcenaries' mouths that these bones were those of the poor female workers.

These beasts used Huaxia female workers to feed the spiritual beasts.

Lin Chen's eyes turned cold, saying to Sawada, "Jump down."

From Sawada's mory, Lin Chen knew this guy had tornted many Huaxia female workers; most vilely, he personally threw seven or eight female workers into the beast pool.

Though Sawada had decent strength, Lin Chen didn't intend for him to live.

Upon hearing Lin Chen's command, Sawada's face turned ugly.

Yet Soul Control's power ant regardless of the command Lin Chen gave, the other party could only obey unconditionally.

Though unwilling, Sawada couldn't resist Lin Chen's order, gritting his teeth as he jumped into the beast pool.

Of course, his fate was like Feng Cilang's monts ago, instantly torn to pieces.

The screams echoed in the pool as Lin Chen's gaze chilled upon the spiritual beasts inside.

These spiritual beasts included spirit snakes, spirit foxes, and so oddly-shaped animals, roughly a dozen.

"What the hell are these things?" Lin Chen clenched his brows.

"These creatures shouldn't exist here, but Yuan Tiangang used Xiaohua's Phoenix Blood to cultivate them again." Xiao Shuai replied.

"Damn it!" Lin Chen's eyes narrowed.

"Since they shouldn't be here, I'll destroy them." Lin Chen said, preparing to press the trigger device.

"Wait, Master, these are gifts from Yuan Tiangang." Xiao Shuai laughed.

"What do you an?" Lin Chen paused.

Xiao Shuai continued, "Master, these spiritual beasts' pearls are beneficial for your cultivation, consuming one equals a year of training."

"These things are that good?" Lin Chen's lips curled into a smile.
