“Not bad, not bad. How about you give it to ?” Jack Lewis nodded and spoke satisfactorily.
Finn Lewis was speechless, damn, could you be any more shaless? “I an, Jack, is it okay to ask so blatantly?”
“What’s wrong with that? As long as you dare to give, I dare to accept. This kind of car is worth keeping.” Jack Lewis was completely indifferent to the idea of bribery.
Finn was dumbfounded. He was thinking, damn, are there other people in the world more shaless than him? Anyway, he confidently wouldn’t let Jack succeed. Finn waved his hand and said, “Forget it, I won’t give away this car brand, it’s sothing I specially researched for the woman I love.”
“Jack, has anyone ever told you that you have thick skin?” Finn looked at Jack Lewis and asked, speechless.
“Haha, no one has ever dared to say that to .” Jack Lewis squinted, grinning as he spoke.
“Co on now, your skin is thick. Those who handle intelligence really are like those depicted on TV, lying the mont they open their mouths, and they don’t even blush or skip a beat. I can’t compete with you. But why did you call here? There’s nothing here,” Finn pointed outside and asked.
“We’re almost there, let’s get out of the car.” Jack Lewis shook his head and spoke.
Just as Finn was about to ask Jack what they were about to arrive at, he suddenly heard the sound of a helicopter overhead. Finn froze for a mont. At this ti, the sound of two cars ca from the direction they had arrived from. Finn looked back to see two armored off-road vehicles. Seeing this situation, Finn was a bit dazed. He turned back to Jack Lewis and asked, “What are you up to?”
“We’re not up to anything. We just want to demonstrate our country’s commitnt to your company,” Jack Lewis said with a smile.
“Folks, in order to secure tomorrow’s press conference, we’re now going to establish a security zone. Please move outside of this zone. Thank you all for your cooperation.” As the Captain spoke, many students began to slowly retreat. These soldiers were not regular police or normal military police, these were real special forces. They had undoubtedly seen the brutality of war. No matter the mission, they had surely seen bloodshed.
Ordinary people, upon seeing these soldiers, could feel the oppressive atmosphere that surrounded them, as well as a hint of blood lust. This isn’t just bluffing. Only those who have seen blood over the long term carry an aura of fierceness. You might not be able to detect it, but try letting these soldiers stand in front of small animals like dogs or cats.
Even the fiercest dog, unless trained specially, would not dare to bark at these soldiers.
“You’ve made a big scene here,” Finn said, half laughing and half crying. He had thought that Jack’s idea of helping them maintain order at the scene was going to involve just the police.
Who knew that it would escalate to this level!
“Not at all,” Jack Lewis replied with a smile, his thoughts unclear.
“Alright then, it’s not a big deal for now,” Finn gave a bitter smile, feeling sowhat speechless as he looked up at the helicopter overhead.
Finn simply opened the car door and stepped in. Looking at Finn’s actions, Jack Lewis was also speechless. That brat, was he going to drop dead from this wind? Moreover, they weren’t directly beneath the helicopter.
This part of the plot centered around Finn asking Jack Lewis for so talents. Since trading so things with Zero directly was too expensive, it was better to trade the blueprints and make them by himself.
Jack introduced him to a scientist who had been locked away.
In fact, Finn really wanted to ask, if you knew he was crazy, why let him do research? But Finn didn’t ask this question because so things had to be done for the sake of the nation – things that most people couldn’t even comprehend.
“Don’t look at like that. This is not our doing. The other party is a biology professor at a university, and he devoted his life to researching this virus,” Jack Lewis gave a bitter smile. “Such a virus should not exist in this world. Despite it being specifically targeted at a certain ethnic group’s gene, human genes are virtually identical. If it were really released, as long as the virus mutated even slightly, can you imagine the outco?”
From Jack’s description, Finn shivered. Indeed, a virus is the most difficult to control. The virus that Jack described was terrifying; it was almost akin to the virus described in Resident Evil. It could be transmitted through all available ans and was specifically targeted at a particular group.
But what Jack said also made sense. Such a virus, with even a slight mutation, could cause a disaster beyond description, it could even be described as catastrophic.
“Are you sure you’ve destroyed all of it? There are no remaining backups, right?” Finn couldn’t help but ask. This kind of thing could really be a double-edged sword for any nation.
However, Finn’s question enraged Jack, who turned around furiously to glare at Finn with large, wide eyes, shouting, “I’ll have you know, I personally executed the destruction of this thing. The entire lab, including all the data and the original virus, were all incinerated by a fla exceeding 2000 degrees Celsius. In the end, even the entire building was destroyed.”
“Uh, okay, okay. Don’t get so worked up,” Finn broke out in cold sweat, wiped his forehead and said, “The scientist you’re introducing to isn’t crazy like him, right? If so… I won’t dare to hire him, and would you really trust with such a person?”
“I’m only giving you an extre example. We wouldn’t dare to let soone like that loose. It’s cruel, but we can only let him live out the rest of his days well-fed and in good health in a certain base,” Jack Lewis said with a sigh.
“So what kind of person do you plan to arrange for ?” Finn asked curiously.
“Let’s go. I’ll introduce you to soone. He’s an expert in your field and he’s not very old. He is a true genius in your industry. However, this kid is sowhat arrogant,” Jack Lewis said, shaking his head.
“Arrogant?” Finn was sowhat puzzled.
“He thinks his intelligence is superior to everyone else’s. Oh, that’s not the right way to put it. According to his words, he said that no one can provide him with a research field that matches his current research, so he has to wait until the level of scientific developnt progresses,” Jack Lewis said, shaking his head.
