Chapter 2119: Chapter 2182: A Plot Against the Li Family
Li Yifei, or more accurately, the Li family has been targeted. A small, anonymous account suddenly posted on social dia, claiming to be from Mile City. At the beginning of the post, it listed the city’s and province’s largest family — the Li family. Not only did the post enurate the Li family’s more than ten companies and factories, and over twenty areas of involvent, but it summarized everything ticulously, even listing so annual reports. These reports aren’t confidential, and if it were just this, it wouldn’t be that infuriating. But the key issue is the words that follow, which angered Su ngxin greatly.
The person not only exposed Li Yifei’s identity, detailing his military experience and post-retirent incidents, such as his conflicts with individuals. The post claims he not only physically hard others but also bribed officials, severely oppressed those he clashed with, even leading to their deaths, resulting in many families being destroyed or people fleeing.
Only a few of these claims are true, but the post is intentionally misleading and distorts the facts. In the later part, it entirely fabricates individuals and accusations, pinning them on Li Yifei. The post also ntioned Mile City and provincial officials who have good relations with the Li family, including Qin Yuanjiang, Song Zhentao, and Song Ranmin, and included Ye Yunzhu and Shen Qiong in the list.
This section specifically alleged that the Li family bribed officials, colluded, and within a few years promoted Li Yifei’s associates like Ye Yunzhu and Shen Qiong to the positions of bureau director and vice mayor. It accuses the Li family of not only dominating Mile City but also being untouchable within the province, leading to possible familial ruin for anyone who dares cross them. The writer of the post claid that simply glancing at a Li family woman while passing by led to his family’s company going bankrupt, and personally being crippled and bedridden, described in a very pitiful manner.
The post also labeled Li Yifei as deeply lascivious, reportedly maintaining improper relations with dozens of won for years, even comparing him to notorious figures from history, boldly seizing attractive won he encounters on the street, sotis even assaulting them locally in broad daylight. The writing skill of the poster was rather good, creating an explicit and dramatic narrative.
Li Yifei is depicted as a villain who bullies n and dominates won, committing all kinds of evil, lawlessly terrorizing communities.
The post claims Li Yifei has killed countless, destroying families such as the Lin family and Song family, major provincial families, with their primary mbers murdered and the families exiled, while the murderer roams free.
This post portrays Li Yifei as a complete degenerate, devoid of any morals, committing endless heinous acts. At the end of the post, the writer angrily questions if a country claiming to uphold legal justice can tolerate such individuals? Is there no one to bring Li Yifei to justice? Can he act above the law and be so reckless?
Finally, the writer threatens that if no one enacts justice, he will have no choice but to set himself ablaze with a can of gasoline, appealing to all netizens who see this to help spread the truth, expose the Li family’s cris, and alert the authorities to deal with Li Yifei.
The post is filled with alleged blood and tears, and every line is crafted to evoke deep emotional responses from uninford readers. Upon being posted on Twitter, it imdiately provoked countless comnts and shares, almost unanimously condemning Li Yifei.
In today’s society, what’s most abundant are uninford masses and people resentful of wealth. If soone is rich and morally corrupt, it quickly incites widespread public indignation. And now, Li Yifei, who recently saved lives, becos such a figure amidst hundreds of thousands, even millions of netizens.
Logically, a post from a dubious account shouldn’t have such an impact, so upon learning of this issue, Su ngxin imdiately began investigating. She found that this was obviously an orchestrated attack that caught the Li family off guard. By the ti they noticed, they were already on the back foot.
Su ngxin was very angry. As a recently erging family, the Li family always advocated for discretion. Most dostic families also adhere to the principle of staying low-profile, silently accumulating wealth is the right path; being overly ostentatious is not what a family should do. Exposing oneself under the spotlight is unwise.
The bigger the family, the more it should remain low-key, as for ordinary people, wealthy individuals are their adversaries. They don’t think about the hard work of the rich, how they turn money into more money because, in most people’s eyes, wealthy individuals are scum, immoral, making profits off the blood of common people, like vampires.
The poster exposed the Li family and distortedly fabricated countless false facts in the post, making them seem legitimate, even concocting nurous precise tilines that angry uninford individuals won’t fact-check, instead quickly condemning them. Randomly checking the post’s replies shows pages filled with curses, all angrily denouncing the Li family, Li Yifei, and his associates.
After hearing all this, Li Yifei frowned tightly, feeling angry at first. But he imdiately asked, "What about the dia? We’re in the Internet era now, and information circulates quickly online. How are the online dia reacting?"
"That’s what’s infuriating. Currently, at least twenty so-called ’big influencers’ with over a million followers are reposting and comnting, with almost unanimous opinions. As for the trolls and pseudo-intellectuals, they’re adding fuel to the fire, and so even claim they’re from Ning Province, continuing to expose us," Su ngxin replied.
Li Yifei, though angry, did not panic. There have always been people wanting to move against the Li family, perhaps many lurking behind the scenes. When a big fish like this suddenly surfaces, who wouldn’t want a bite, especially since the Li family relies on cash flow, with plenty of liquid funds, unlike families playing with assets that appear wealthy but actually lack cash.
Those lurking crocodiles covet from the shadows, but their threat is not significant. As for the authorities, Li Yifei thinks he has handled them reasonably. In fact, in the past two years, Li Yifei has helped the governnt with many issues, gaining good evaluations from so leaders at the top, especially with Old Master Su assisting and the Middle Eastern affairs. Handling the family’s issues and even the recent Island of All Beings incident, Li Yifei has been gradually accumulating reputation. In the province, the Li family’s charitable institutions, whether in education support, elderly care, or disease treatnt, even so school donations and public facilities, have t high standards and been completed.
These are also reputations, things a big company and family should do. Taking from the community and giving to the community, Li Yifei feels he’s done well.
But since soone intentionally aid at them, the Li family cannot remain unguarded. This incident serves as a crisis and a warning. The Li family indeed hasn’t focused much on the Internet; who’d expect that post would grow to billions in views, millions in shares, over five million discussions, and seventy thousand comnts within half a day...
This is a terrifying number. Even in today’s era, there might only be a few events like this in a year.
What angers Su ngxin is that most people are ignorant, taking the post’s convincing appearance as truth and imdiately criticizing, siding with the writer.
And the Li family, having little involvent, responds slowly. They haven’t identified the ti of the post, nor begun preparing counterasures or clarifications.
Seeing his wife anxious, Li Yifei comforted her. Then he shifted the conversation, saying, "ngxin, no need to rush. A righteous person fears no shadows. Other than having too many wives, there’s nothing to criticize
for. If I’m being rebuked for that, then I’ll accept it. Hehe, for now, find the instigator and reach out to those with influence."
Holding the power of discourse equates to holding justice; Li Yifei understands this well. He even knows that online platforms these days can be settled with money. If you pay, those platforms, so-called influencers, and the notion of justice can change instantly. Even if they’re insulting you one mont, with money, they’ll praise you the next. It includes those so-called public intellectuals and opinion leaders.
Su ngxin also knows this; she’s just angry. Seeing the New Year approaching, with Li Yifei spending Little New Year saving people, and finally returning ho for a peaceful celebration now disrupted by this vexing matter.
She took a breath and said, "I’ve already had soone reach out. Our family currently lacks channels in this area, so we need to find them. Hmm, Ning Xin’er is quite familiar with this; she’s already handling it. But undoubtedly, the other party hired nurous trolls, quickly pushing the matter to the top, even paying a massive number of people to repost, hype, and mislead the general public."
"Hmm, that’s understandable. Hehe, the other side wants to escalate, so let’s play along," Li Yifei chuckled.
"Sigh, hubby, I’m not happy!" Suddenly, Su ngxin spoke in a coquettish tone, almost whining to Li Yifei.
Li Yifei felt uncomfortable upon hearing this. Over the years, he has also contributed to the family, but differently. Many things have been borne by the won, even Su ngxin felt fatigued, both physically and ntally. Now, faced with this issue, Su ngxin is really upset.
Li Yifei softened his voice, "Dear wife, I’m already on my way ho, will reach in two hours. By then, I’ll hold you tight, okay?"
"Okay!" Su ngxin readily agreed, her tone carrying so pleasure.
"Alright, it’s a promise. By then, you’ll sit in my arms and won’t go anywhere!" Li Yifei said.
