Chapter 2024: Chapter 2087: A Bit Worried

Li Yifei walked over, squatted in front of Su ngxin, held her hand, and said, "Honey, we’ve found the child. He’s right in your arms. The hardships of the past few months are over. From now on, we’ll be more careful about taking care of the child, ensuring he doesn’t have any more accidents. Every day he’ll be beside you, and you can still watch him grow up."

"I know! I just... feel like I haven’t fulfilled my responsibilities as a mother, letting such a young child wander outside." Su ngxin bit her lip and said, appearing a bit forlorn. Now the child was hungry, but she didn’t have any milk...

Li Yifei chuckled and said, "Silly wife, it’s normal for the child to wean around this ti. He can’t keep drinking it forever. Besides, formula is good these days, human milk and formula are the sa. If necessary, we can hire a couple of healthy, strong wet nurses. The child is back now, so don’t dwell on these things."

"Go make so formula. I understand everything in theory; it’s just hard to get over it psychologically!" Su ngxin pushed Li Yifei and then lowered her head to look at the child.

Li Yifei nodded, got up to fetch the bottle, boiled so water, and used True Qi to lower the temperature.

"This little guy can eat and sleep so well, he already drank two bottles on the plane." Li Yifei looked at his son and smacked his lips.

"That’s a good thing." Su ngxin rolled her eyes at Li Yifei and added, "Go accompany Xiaoyao and Shanshan, I’ll stay with the son for a while."

"Okay, call

if anything cos up. Oh, and he should be pooping soon; call

when he does." Li Yifei reminded her.

Su ngxin rolled her eyes at Li Yifei again and said, "Why would I call you? My son, I wouldn’t mind if it’s dirty. You go ahead, don’t worry."

"Haha, alright then, I’ll head out first." Li Yifei said as he left the bedroom for the adjacent one, where the two won had been staying to give Li Yifei and Su ngxin so private space. When they saw Li Yifei co in, they quickly asked, "Is the son asleep?"

"Not yet, he’s feeding now. I’m just free to co by and check on you two."

"Oh, oh." Chu Xiaoyao nodded, leaned over to Li Yifei’s side, and sniffed deeply a few tis, looking a little greedy, then quickly wrinkled her nose and said, "What a strong perfu sll, hmph, you must be flirting outside!"

"You and your dog’s nose, where did I flirt?"

"Not Liang Wei’s, nor Yi i’er’s, so whose is it?" Chu Xiaoyao asked insistently.

Wow, this little nose really is effective. Li Yifei looked at Chu Xiaoyao speechlessly for a while before saying, "It’s the Holy Maiden’s."

Without waiting for Chu Xiaoyao to explode, Li Yifei explained the situation. After hearing him out, Chu Xiaoyao and Xu Shanshan exchanged a glance. They knew so of the specifics but not the follow-up details. After listening, they found the Holy Maiden sowhat innocent, but innocent or not, they couldn’t forgive her. So Chu Xiaoyao continued, "Anyway, you were just ssing around."

"Alright, but I ca back, didn’t I? And considering I went to rescue the child, I couldn’t ss around."

"Who knows?"

Li Yifei knew Chu Xiaoyao was just saying it and wouldn’t really think much of it, so he turned to Xu Shanshan and asked, "How’s your sister been lately?"

"She’s doing well, just keeps giggling every day. No wonder people say pregnancy makes you silly for three years. I think she’s likely to turn silly." Xu Shanshan pouted.

"How silly?" Li Yifei asked with interest.

Xu Shanshan didn’t intend to elaborate, rolling her eyes at Li Yifei, she said, "If having kids makes you silly, I wouldn’t want to have any for a lifeti. I must maintain my smart, beautiful, and wise heroine deanor."

Li Yifei’s mouth twitched. Before he could say anything, Chu Xiaoyao chid in, "That’s what you said, huh? I’ll rember it, so you won’t regret it later!"

Xu Shanshan didn’t expect Chu Xiaoyao to say that, could only grunt and say, "Xiaoyao, you’re tough."

Having children... with whom? Xu Shanshan understood of course, but she couldn’t achieve it for now.

Li Yifei chuckled, seeing the two won banter made his mood better.

After being away from ho for a few days, Li Yifei still inherently wants to stay at ho.

When the two won quieted down, they started to approach Li Yifei again. Chu Xiaoyao, relying on her natural advantage, sat in Li Yifei’s lap. But after just a few rubs, Li Yifei picked her up and put her aside, looking displeased. Chu Xiaoyao realized what was happening and quickly apologized, maintaining so distance from Li Yifei.

"By the way, how’s Su Lio?" Li Yifei turned to ask Xu Shanshan.

"Su Lio is alright. I’ve been seeing her these past few days," Xu Shanshan replied.

Chu Xiaoyao chid in, "She’s alright, but it’s a bit boring for her. You see, people like

can play gas, ss with computers, or even sneak into others’ computers to do so things when bored. You all have things to do, so you don’t feel bored. But Su Lio stays at ho every day, unlike Na Yi, whose previous life was more boring than now, so she is quite satisfied with her current life. But Su Lio just can’t handle it. Anyway, I feel she’s quite bored."

"Your observation is quite detailed." Li Yifei rubbed his chin, pondering for a mont. Then he looked at Chu Xiaoyao and asked, "So, what do you suggest to make a change for her?"

Chu Xiaoyao looked up, took a breath, and said, "I’ve been thinking about going back to school too!"

"Hmm?" Li Yifei turned to look at Chu Xiaoyao. This girl wasn’t fond of studying back then and took a break from school due to disputes with those families. It seems that after staying at ho for half a year, Chu Xiaoyao is getting restless too.

It’s understandable. Other won at ho are relatively easy to handle. They have their own work, but Chu Xiaoyao indeed has nothing to do.

Security is fine for now. After so thought, Li Yifei said, "Why don’t you all go back to school? You can either choose to continue with your forr classmates or choose to repeat a year. anwhile, ask Su Lio; if she’s willing, she can transfer her student status to the provincial capital and attend the sa university as you for mutual support."

Chu Xiaoyao frowned slightly. Li Yifei thought this might be because her relationship with Su Lio wasn’t very good. But then, he heard Chu Xiaoyao say, "Sure, I’ll ask her now. Otherwise, we’ll both start to mould from the boredom."

With that, Chu Xiaoyao took out her phone, fingers flying over the keys, and sent a ssage to Su Lio.

Now it was Li Yifei’s turn to roll his eyes. So, you’ve been waiting for

here. Judging by the situation, even if I, as your husband, didn’t agree, you all would still go to school.

Back in Su ngxin’s bedroom, Li Yifei saw her lying on the bed with the child in her arms. The child was sound asleep after eating his fill. Seeing Li Yifei enter, Su ngxin gestured for silence, quietly got up, tucked the child in, then pulled Li Yifei aside, saying, "Husband, should we do a DNA test? I’m afraid..."

Li Yifei nodded, "There’s no rush. We can do it after going ho; it won’t matter if it’s delayed for a few days."

"I’m so worried about this child... although he looks like you when you were young, and a lot like , but what if..." Su ngxin held her heart with both hands. Li Yifei took her hands, pulled Su ngxin close to his chest, and gently hugged her, saying, "Don’t worry. I know if this child isn’t ours, you might not be able to handle it. But we already have a clue. If this child is a fake, at least we know it’s the Holy War Organization. If they dared to deceive , I would launch a ferocious retaliation. I won’t stop until I tear the Holy War Organization apart."

"Alright!" Su ngxin rested her head on Li Yifei’s chest and then said, "We also need to give the child a comprehensive check-up. Although he looks quite chubby, we don’t know if he’s lacking any nutrients. If it affects his growth and developnt, it’ll be troubleso. And those preventive vaccines, we’re not sure if they’ve been given."

"This isn’t urgent either. After we go ho, the family doctor will naturally take care of it for you. Alright, my dear wife, I understand how you feel. You need to rest a bit now. Be good, lie down for a while. You definitely haven’t rested well these days. I’ll stay by your side, watching you and the baby fall asleep, alright?"

"No, I want you to sleep with

too." Talking about being tired, Su ngxin indeed felt a bit sleepy and lightly yawned. Then, she held Li Yifei’s hand backward, wanting him to accompany her to sleep.

Li Yifei chuckled softly, kissed Su ngxin on the forehead, and said, "Okay, today I’ll accompany my wife and son to sleep together."

"I don’t want you to coax !" Su ngxin, slightly bashful, said with her mouth, but in her heart, she was delighted. She was pulled onto the bed by Li Yifei, who initially planned to lie on her side, leaving the baby’s side open. But Su ngxin disagreed and had him lie on the other side, surrounding the baby in the middle.

Without exchanging words, they watched the child and then each other. This was truly the happiness of a family. Su ngxin pursed her lips and, at Li Yifei’s suggestion, slowly closed her eyes. The light, steady breathing of her son and the breathing of the child’s father filled her ears. Su ngxin hadn’t had such a good sleep in a long ti.

Li Yifei also dozed off for a while, adjusted his position, and helped Su ngxin adjust hers, letting her sleep a bit longer. It was evident that when the child was retrieved, Su ngxin truly let go and returned to herself, rather than forcing a smile.

Sleep, my dear wife. Li Yifei looked at her breathtakingly beautiful face, feeling the weight of the mont. At ho, more responsibilities awaited him. From now on, every step Li Yifei took had to be well thought out and careful, for he no longer represented just himself.

This is probably the stage a man should go through, from being alone, fearing nothing, to having concerns, persistence, protection, and responsibilities to bear.
