Chapter 2022: Chapter 2085: Slap
When the two girls went to make phone calls, Li Yifei also understood. The families of the two girls were already aware of the situation and were using their resources to rescue them. Suddenly, the two daughters returned, which surprised both families, and they hurriedly wanted to speak to Li Yifei. After Liang Wei finished speaking, she handed the phone to Li Yifei, who took the phone and said, "Hello."
"Hello, thank you for saving my daughter and i’er," Liang Wei’s father, Liang Zicheng, said with a sowhat emotional voice.
"No need to be polite, I just happened to be there. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been a way to save them," Li Yifei replied.
"No, no, it’s not like that. For you, it was a coincidence, but for us, it ans everything," Liang Zicheng corrected. His tone was sincere, and his attitude was good, making Li Yifei feel comfortable. Although Li Yifei saved people out of the goodness of the two girls and didn’t expect anything from them.
"No need for more thanks, Mr. Liang. They are safe now. But I do think you should consider whether your daughter and Yi i’er should return ho. Their safety can’t be guaranteed here. The opponents are strong, not sothing ordinary bodyguards can handle," Li Yifei reminded.
"Hmm..." Liang Zicheng fell silent, seemingly weighing the pros and cons. After a few seconds, he replied, "Sir, may I ask for your help? Weiwei has told
you’re very capable. Is it possible for you to bring them back with you when you return to the country?"
Do they really trust
that much? Li Yifei blinked and said, "I can do that. I won’t return today, but I will tomorrow."
"That’s great. I really appreciate it, sir. For so reasons, both Yi i’er’s father and I cannot leave right now, and there are many things going on at ho. So, I’m really troubled to ask you," Liang Zicheng said, even more emotionally.
"It’s fine, as long as you trust ." This explanation made Li Yifei feel much better. Otherwise, Li Yifei would have thought these two fathers were not very reliable, given their daughters were kidnapped, and they showed so little response.
Li Yifei didn’t make things difficult for them and agreed. With the girls staying in the United States, in Seattle, there was a risk of encountering danger again. After all, Li Yifei couldn’t guarantee anything.
The safest thod was to return ho as soon as possible without delay. Otherwise, prolonged ti might lead to more complications, especially since Li Yifei had a child with him, which was already a considerable concern.
After hanging up the phone, Yi i’er ca over with the phone again, saying her father wanted to thank Li Yifei personally.
Li Yifei wasn’t too moved by the parents’ gratitude. He simply exchanged a few words and brought up the sa concern. Yi Long, Yi i’er’s father, had the sa request, and Li Yifei naturally didn’t refuse.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Li!" Yi Long emphasized.
"Haha, it’s nothing. Your daughter and the others treated
very well," Li Yifei said.
Yi Long frowned slightly. What did he an by my daughter treated him well? Could it be that the two girls have so romantic ties? But from what the security reported earlier, they encountered each other by chance and didn’t know each other before. Although Yi Long is busy, he still cares about his daughter’s matters. But it’s not the ti to inquire now; he’ll wait to ask when the daughters return.
The most important thing right now is to ensure their safe return; otherwise, many things will get disrupted.
Li Yifei didn’t say much more. After hanging up the phone, he was about to speak when he heard crying. It turned out the child had woken up at so point, was propping himself on the sofa, little bum sticking out, and climbed down. Seeing no one paying attention to him, he wailed a few tis, prompting the saintess to imdiately rush over and apologize comfortingly until the child turned his cries into laughter.
Li Yifei made so milk and changed the diaper, taking care of the child before saying to the two girls, "Now go pack up, we are preparing to head back to the country."
"Returning to the country?" The two girls were a bit stunned but then nodded, saying, "It is ti to go back, but we still need to go to school."
"We’ll talk about it when it’s safe. Right now, not just school, even staying at ho isn’t safe," Li Yifei said.
Yi i’er deeply understood this, as those people had previously broken into her ho and kidnapped her.
"Okay, then we’ll go back with you, Uncle. You have to take responsibility for us," Yi i’er tried to joke, but halfway through her words, she instinctively looked at the saintess. The saintess was holding the child, smiling at Yi i’er as she held the bottle, that kind of innocent smile causing Yi i’er to shudder inwardly. She quickly stuck out her tongue and explained, "Don’t mind , I was just joking."
"Haha. Alright, go pack, you have half an hour," Li Yifei said, checking the ti as he spoke to the two girls.
It’s better to leave as soon as possible. Li Yifei contacted ho to have the plane return on its way, as waiting for the plane to co would take so ti and wasn’t practical. It was better to book a flight back directly. He checked and found a flight in three hours directly to Haicheng, the city where the girls’ families were located, saving him so trouble.
The two girls regarded the saintess as the child’s mother, and Li Yifei didn’t bother explaining. By the looks of it, the saintess enjoyed this role, taking care of the child with utmost care.
Twenty minutes later, the two girls had packed, each carrying a suitcase. Judging by the suitcase size, they didn’t bring much, smartly carrying only essential items, leaving behind clothes and things that could be bought once back ho.
Li Yifei took a look and nodded, "Give
your IDs, I’ll book the tickets, and we’ll head to the airport!"
"Okay, Uncle." The two girls nodded promptly. A few minutes later, having booked the tickets, there happened to be available seats in the First Class Cabin, which Li Yifei booked right away, not using the girls’ bank cards.
"I’ll take you to the airport. With
around, those people will have to think twice before making a move," the saintess said, holding the child and shaking his little hand as she spoke to Li Yifei.
Li Yifei nodded at her words, asking, "But, won’t you be blad when you get back?"
With a tender gaze, the saintess looked at Li Yifei and said, "Just knowing you care is enough for ."
"Take care of yourself, until the day we et again," Li Yifei looked deeply at the saintess and said.
The next eting would be the ti for the final showdown, a ti when they could let go of all concerns and fight to their fullest. As it stood, Li Yifei seed to have a better chance, judging from his actions against the dark maiden and Mig. Though the saintess was stronger than Mig, she might not surpass the dark maiden significantly.
The saintess nodded and said, "I will. During this ti, I will train hard and not slack off. Besides, don’t think that just because you defeated the dark maiden, you can defeat . Our cultivation paths differ, and so will our battle compared to hers."
"Haha, no matter how different, it won’t matter!" Li Yifei laughed loudly, leaning in close to the saintess’s ear, and whispered, "In your heart, you’ve already given up on victory."
The warm breath on her face made the saintess blush slightly. She glared at Li Yifei and said, "Then you’re thinking wrong. My intention to kill you hasn’t changed. When we et again, I will go all out..."
"Slap!" Before the saintess could finish her words, Li Yifei lifted a hand and slapped her on the bum, catching her by surprise.
The two little girls watching from the sidelines were stunned. Was this flirting?
Even the saintess didn’t expect Li Yifei would indeed dare to hit her, and what’s more, actually slap her butt. Was this flirting?
Given their relationship, not just a slap on the bum, but even more intimate actions could be understandable. The key difference was, in the past, Li Yifei was very restrained. Such action seed to be the first, especially in front of the two girls.
In embarrassnt, she glanced at Li Yifei, suppressing the urge to return the slap. If she were to retaliate, it would definitely be seen as flirting.
Upon reaching this thought, the saintess refrained and with a face slightly flushed, took the child in her arms and turned towards the stroller, saying as she walked, "The journey is long, he’ll need milk three or four tis along the way. You must pay attention to the child; change his diapers promptly when needed."
"Got it," Li Yifei nodded.
"Also, these snacks can be given occasionally but not too much, maybe as teething aids. Ensure you offer water, but in small doses each ti," the saintess instructed, fully imrsed in her role.
Li Yifei chuckled and continued nodding, hearing the saintess say, "If I weren’t occupied, I would personally take the child back to Su ngxin and apologize. After all..."
"Enough, ngxin won’t take it to heart, and although things happened because of you, you can’t take all the bla. You’re treating the child very well, almost on par with his mother," Li Yifei patted the saintess on the shoulder, consoling her.
"Sigh, it’s just fate playing tricks. At least tell her I’m sorry," she requested.
"Say it yourself in the future," Li Yifei shook his head, insisting.
The saintess glanced at Li Yifei, understanding his ssage: that if she lost in the future, beca part of the Li family, she could personally go to Su ngxin and even the Li family’s won to apologize.
Silently nodding, the saintess internally agreed, thinking, "Alright, I’ll say it in the future. If I kill Li Yifei, then there’s no point in saying sorry. But if I fail... it might indeed be necessary."
"Almost ti, let’s head to the airport!" Li Yifei remarked after checking his phone, speaking to the won.
The two girls sitting on the sofa found themselves bewildered by the scene. It seed the relationship between Uncle and Sister Yanzi... Did that an Sister Yanzi was a mistress? Otherwise, why was she apologizing to another lady and not going back with the child? And, why was she staying in the U.S. while Sister Yanzi was supposed to continue being there...?
