Chapter 2002: Chapter 2065: Who Eats Whom

Chapter 2065: Who’s Eating Who

"Maybe I should be eating you two?" Li Yifei finally said. Yi i’er hit the brakes, causing the car to shudder and nearly stall. Liang Wei’s face froze, and she turned to look at Li Yifei, asking in surprise, "Uncle, you wouldn’t really be a bad guy, would you?"

Oh man, what kind of question is that? Who asks questions like that? Even though Li Yifei had seen a lot in his life, he had never t such... a muddle-headed woman before. After a few seconds of holding back, he awkwardly shook his head and said, "Forget it, I’m a good guy."

Liang Wei’s big eyes imdiately filled with a dense smile. She gave Yi i’er, who was driving, a smug look and said, "See, I told you this uncle is a good guy."

So I get a good-guy card just like that? Li Yifei felt at a loss for words again.

However, the two girls soon burst into joyful laughter, causing Li Yifei’s good-guy card to not last long. Liang Wei leaned back in her seat, raised her eyebrows, looked at Li Yifei, and said, "Don’t worry, Uncle. It’s not that we’re not worried about you; it’s just that there’s more than just us at ho. We have bodyguards too. You may be handso, but you’re no match for them—they’re professional bodyguards, each capable of taking on a bunch of people."

Li Yifei: "..."

"Why, don’t you believe it? You’ll see when we get ho. We only let you stay with us because we were afraid you’d end up on the streets, not because we like you or anything. Don’t overthink it. Taking you to eat delicious food is just because it doesn’t cost much anyway."

"Alright, alright, stop explaining. If you keep explaining, I’m getting out of the car." Li Yifei hurriedly waved his hand.

The thought processes of these young girls were just not on the sa wavelength as his. Since they were willing to find him a better place to stay, Li Yifei didn’t refuse. He ca to the United States to save his son, not to enjoy himself; otherwise, he didn’t need to be this cautious.

Although Li Yifei hadn’t had much contact with the Holy War Organization, he knew that the ground he stood on belonged to them. Their influence spread throughout the United States, likely having mbers on every inch of land.

The Holy Maiden hadn’t disclosed to Li Yifei just how many people were part of the Holy War Organization, but she had clearly reminded him to be extrely careful as soon as he set foot in the United States. Since Li Yifei couldn’t confront the Holy War Organization directly, he had to be cautious. The Holy Maiden could help him but couldn’t do so openly; she needed to remain discreet as well.

This ti, when Li Yifei ca to the United States, the won in his life who knew were worried, like Lin Qiong, who once suggested that if the Holy Maiden wasn’t sincere in helping Li Yifei but was instead luring him into a trap in the US, what would he do then?

"If that’s the case, I’ll fight my way out, even if it ans a complete fallout. But for now, we have to choose to trust the Holy Maiden and believe that she genuinely wants to help us, as that’s the best approach." Li Yifei replied at the ti.

Li Yifei didn’t have many friends; he had always been a lone wolf, venturing alone into dangerous situations. Encountering an organization like the Holy War Organization, there were almost no people who could assist him, like Murong Yuanqing, who was restricted and couldn’t leave the country...

Without the Holy Maiden as an insider to help, he wouldn’t even know where his child was hidden or where the Holy War Organization’s headquarters were located, let alone the elders who were always under protection.

When they arrived at Liang Wei and Yi i’er’s ho, it was a very large villa—not like those smaller villas, but a genuine one. Li Yifei had already learned that the villa belonged to Yi i’er. Her family bought it specifically for her schooling, and it was close to the University of Seattle, just a 20-minute drive. Liang Wei lived there because she was Yi i’er’s close friend, and both families knew each other, so she moved in as well.

The villa’s interior furnishings were naturally top-notch; it was likely in a wealthy neighborhood, almost comparable to an estate. As the vehicle drove into the garage, Li Yifei heard Liang Wei pointing at a Porsche sports car and introducing it: "The red one is mine, and the Maserati next to it belongs to i’er. But we usually don’t drive them often, only occasionally."

Li Yifei nodded, his eyes scanning over them without much notice, only glancing at the Humr parked inside the garage. He didn’t pay attention to the specific model, but from his perspective, he could tell the Humr had been modified, with a reinforced body and probably bulletproof windows.

For an ordinary student’s family to own more cars was nothing unusual, but with a bulletproof vehicle appearing, this student probably wasn’t ordinary either.

Li Yifei soon t the girls’ two bodyguards—a black woman and a white woman. Both appeared very vigilant upon seeing him. Liang Wei and Yi i’er explained for a while, yet they were still hesitant and wanted to check Li Yifei.

"Alright, alright, he’s just an innocuous uncle. Look at his clothes; does he look like a poor person?" Liang Wei said, pushing the two female bodyguards out and turning back to Li Yifei, she said, "Uncle, you’re really hiding your talents, aren’t you? Co on, tell , are you a billionaire?"

"Where did that co from?"

"Stop pretending. I study psychology, and when you got out of the car earlier, you just glanced at those cars without a second look, not even bothering with those that cost hundreds of thousands. That’s not sothing ordinary people would do."

"Does everyone have to like cars?" Li Yifei countered.

"Not necessarily, but there are hardly any n who don’t like cars."

"I might just be the exception," Li Yifei said.

"You can’t fool . My observations never go wrong. The reason you didn’t pay attention to these cars is probably that you’re wealthy yourself and hence don’t care about them..." Liang Wei continued, but Yi i’er couldn’t take it anymore and pulled her away, saying, "Alright, Vivian, stop letting your psychology lessons get the best of you. It’s not reliable."

"Alright," Liang Wei quickly took the advice of Yi i’er.

Li Yifei was led upstairs by the two girls, and he found the interior design to be even more luxurious. The girls’ rooms were on the third floor, and Li Yifei’s guest room was on the second floor, theoretically right below Liang Wei’s bedroom.

After putting his luggage away, Li Yifei looked back at the two girls, coughed, and said, "Thanks for your help. I’ll just stay a few days. But I’m really here to pick up my son this ti. Once I have him, I’ll head back ho."

"Alright, we know. Stay as long as you like; nobody’s chasing you away. To be honest, having a man in the house makes

feel safer; otherwise, it’s just all girls here. Even though they’re skilled, I still feel uneasy," Liang Wei said.

"Okay," Li Yifei gave a silly grin.

"Yes, yes, it’s that smile. On the plane, we were drawn to that mature, weathered, and story-filled smile," Liang Wei suddenly clapped her hands, pointing to Li Yifei’s face.

Li Yifei’s smile froze, and a few seconds later, he turned and walked back to his room, feeling that at his age, he was being teased, or perhaps toyed with, by two young girls.

Those two girls couldn’t be that simple-minded...

Lying on the clean bed, Li Yifei took a break, then picked up his phone to check for any ssages—none yet. As agreed, Li Yifei had to reach Seattle and wait for the Holy Maiden’s news. For now, he had nothing else to do.

The Holy Maiden would provide him with his child’s location and offer appropriate assistance. Whether he could rescue his child would be up to Li Yifei himself.

So at this mont, Li Yifei found himself relatively relaxed; he didn’t have much to do. With the sound of knocking on the door, Li Yifei snapped back to reality, saying, "Co in," and saw Liang Wei poke her head in. She said, "I found you a set of pajamas. If you have nothing else to do, you can take a shower and nap for a bit. i’er and I need a shower and so rest too, since we couldn’t sleep on the plane being occupied with watching you, and were up late last night."

"Alright, you guys do what you need!" Li Yifei nodded.

"Haha, okay. If you can’t sleep, there’s a ga room on the first floor with a PS4 and an X-BOX, so many gas to unwind with. After that, she left, and the sound of footsteps echoed.

He didn’t actually sleep but ditated for over an hour, fine-tuning his physical state to its peak because he never knew when he’d receive a ssage from the Holy Maiden, so he needed to remain in his best condition at all tis.

In Arica, putting aside other things, just guns alone exceeded the number of people, full of opportunities but also dangers. Li Yifei could only make himself stronger, keeping in the best condition to handle any danger.

Two well-rested girls soon ca downstairs. Liang Wei headed to the kitchen to make a large fruit salad. When she saw Li Yifei co down, she seed montarily confused, briefly forgetting why there was an extra man in the house.

"Ah, Uncle, you’re awake. Just in ti, co try my secret recipe—super delicious fruit salad. I put a lot of effort into it." Liang Wei said, holding a plate in one hand, a fork in her mouth, and gesturing for Li Yifei to co over and eat together with her other hand.

Li Yifei walked over, picked up a fork, and stabbed a piece of banana, chewed and found it indeed tasty.

By the ti Yi i’er ca downstairs, the two had nearly finished the plate of fruit salad. Yi i’er had to make another batch for herself—after eating a few bites, she turned a darting look, put her fork down, and said, "No, I can’t eat any more. We agreed to go out to eat gourt food."

"So you’re saying I just ate too much?" Liang Wei’s eyes widened, looking at her close friend.
