After Xu Zhenguo and his wife finished speaking, Qi Tianlong’s parents realized that their son had misspoken again. Qi Tianlong’s mother hurried over, trying to grab Xu Shanshan’s mother’s arm, but she dodged and said, "This matter is out of our control. Yifei always makes his own decisions. Although we are elders, we are open-minded and won’t interfere in the younger generation’s lives!"

Her words, with a hint of sarcasm, were a response to Qi Tianlong’s earlier comnt.

Their attitude was different from two days ago, so Qi Tianlong’s parents couldn’t very well stop them and ask for help again.

Once Xu Zhenguo and his wife walked off into the distance, Qi Tianlong’s father, in anger, slapped his son’s face. In his mory, Qi Tianlong had never been hit before; his parents had always indulged him, and he didn’t let them down by not needing much supervision in his studies.

Qi Tianlong’s mother scread and quickly shielded her son, shouting at her husband, "What are you doing? Why are you hitting the child?"

"I’m hitting him on purpose!" Qi Tianlong’s father said. "If you can’t speak properly, then shut up. Was it your place to speak just now? Look at the nonsense you spouted!"

Qi Tianlong, his eyes reddening, said, "It’s not my fault. Their son-in-law has another woman outside. Should I not speak about it?"

"Get out, just get out!" Qi Tianlong’s father scolded angrily, his body shaking with rage.

The three mbers of the Qi family were arguing amongst themselves while Xu Zhenguo and his wife had already arrived ho. They weren’t truly upset; they just didn’t want to get involved in this matter. Since their daughter wasn’t interested in the other party, why make things complicated?

Xu Shanshan’s mother sighed and said, "Old man, do you think it would be inappropriate if we just asked directly?"

"It’s inappropriate!"

"Then there you go. That question of yours was stupid."

stupid?" Xu Shanshan’s mother raised her brows imdiately and, pointing at Xu Zhenguo, said, "Say it again if you dare!"

"No, I don’t dare!" Xu Zhenguo shrugged, bending down to carry the items they had just bought into the kitchen.

Xu Shanshan’s mother snorted and muttered, "As if you dared! No way, we have to verify this matter, we can’t let both our daughters get attached to one person!"

This issue is likely to trouble Xu Zhenguo and his wife for a long ti. It’s not a big deal, but it’s not trivial either.

Li Yifei woke up; after finishing his morning exercise and breakfast, he heard a report saying that Murong Yuanqing had returned. He had gone to visit an old friend and attend to so matters. Li Yifei couldn’t pry, so after a brief exchange of pleasantries, he handed the box containing Bai Shan over to Murong Yuanqing.

Touching his chin and furrowing his brows with a serious expression, Murong Yuanqing stayed silent for a mont and then asked, "Have you contacted them since you returned?"

"Of course I have. I called them just last night, otherwise, I would have been freaking out. Ningxiang said everything is fine on their end." Li Yifei replied.

Only then did Murong Yuanqing nod his head and breathe a sigh of relief, saying, "Okay, we’ll set off to find them tomorrow. Bring Bai Shan and seal the child for now."

Li Yifei nodded quickly, saying, "But I’m afraid the matter of

going to find Bai Shan has indeed been leaked, otherwise that Vietnase person wouldn’t have found us so accurately."

Murong Yuanqing went to make a call, while Li Yifei went back to make preparations. With Bai Shan now obtained, he planned to have several elders work together to seal his son tomorrow, so he’d not need to worry about his safety for the ti being. After all, now that the child has reached enlightennt age, he will be ford regardless, so even if soone has designs, it won’t co to much.

There were not many matters at ho that Li Yifei needed to involve himself in. Having long been a hands-off manager, he didn’t have to handle most things. At present, Li Yifei was watering flowers with a hose.

His two daughters were around him, each holding small watering cans, helping out.

Lin Qiong, who was spending her vacation at ho, stood with her arms folded, watching the three of them busily working. She felt sowhat envious. Before her injury, Lin Qiong hadn’t thought of this, but after being injured, she suddenly longed to have a child of her own to care for. Lin Qiong thought regretfully and hoped Li Yifei would soon shake off the Witch Worm. After that, she’d certainly demand a lot to try for a child.

Li Yifei’s phone rang, so he turned off the hose, walked back, and took a glance at the phone finding several ssages. After checking and then deleting them,

he gave Lin Qiong a look and handed her a glass of waterlon juice, saying, "If you’re bored, just go take a nap. Why sit out here in the sun all afternoon?"

Lin Qiong took the waterlon juice, bit the habit, and sipped it, rolling her eyes at Li Yifei, saying, "Not bored. Watching the kids play is quite entertaining."

"That claim isn’t very convincing." Li Yifei laughed.

Lin Qiong imdiately raised her brows and said, "Why, are you suggesting I’m lying?"

"Haha, not lying at all. If you like kids, we can just have one soon. You should have a child now; waiting a few more years could be detrintal to your health." Li Yifei held Lin Qiong’s hand and whispered in her ear.
