Chapter 1659: Chapter 1711: The Way Out Blocked

Ruan Xiaotian has died, strangled by Li Yifei himself. He conveyed an even more maddening ssage to Li Yifei—that this valley might still be a Formation thod, a vast and frightening one, and that to escape, they need to find a thod, otherwise, they’ll remain trapped here.

As for the cave from which they ca, there’s simply no way to go back; it only allows entrance, not exit.

Li Yifei didn’t believe in fate. He spent an hour running back only to find the cave had collapsed. Li Yifei understood why Ruan Xiaotian said it could only be entered and not exited—the cave was blown up by him.

Back at the scene, Li Yifei grabbed the barely alive Ruan Xiaotian. This forr Unparalleled Strongman now seed listless, extrely weak due to excessive blood loss leading to dehydration, causing his whole body to swell and look considerably plumper.

There wasn’t much to extract from Ruan Xiaotian, who had fallen into a semi-conscious state. He even spoke nonsense about his Icy Palm, indicating he was already delirious, so Li Yifei strangled him.

Ruan Xiaotian lived for so many years, with profound cultivation, bearing countless lives. This ti he directly caused the deaths of over a hundred people. He had thought about many forms of death and had escaped the shadow of death nurous tis but never expected to die at the hands of Li Yifei and Xu Shanshan.

Thus he died with his eyes open, and Li Yifei did not bother to close them, leaving him lying on the ground.

The arm encased in ice began to slowly lt. As the person died, the True Qi dissipated, and even the hardest-to-cultivate Icy Palm would beco rotting flesh under the rainforest’s high temperature.

Li Yifei said nothing, shouldering both of their backpacks, and asked Xu Shanshan to dispose of the bodyguards. He wasn’t sure if anyone had escaped, but if the entrance was sealed, survival for ordinary people here would be highly challenging. Encountering a wolf like the ones from before would be too much for them to handle.

Not to ntion, there might not be just one terrifying creature.

The two returned to the edge of the small valley, where the huge boar and White Snake, initially dozing, imdiately rose and looked up at Li Yifei upon seeing their return.

Their food remained, with even more food added. It’s unclear which unlucky person had stuffed their food there; it now beca Li Yifei and Xu Shanshan’s sustenance.

Xu Shanshan took out the food, unwrapped it, and handed it to Li Yifei, saying, "Yifei, eat so first, then we’ll rest a bit. It’s been almost twenty days. Even if sothing happened, it likely already has, so being anxious is futile for us."

Li Yifei took the food, nodded, and said, "I know, don’t worry. You sit down too. Let’s sleep for a few hours and then prepare to find Bai Shan. As for finding the way out, we also need to find it, regardless of whether this is true or false, we must get out quickly."

"Okay!" Xu Shanshan nodded.

After eating so food, Li Yifei went to the cliff edge and, looking at the two creatures below, said, "I’ll let you out if you help

find Bai Shan and the way out. If you agree, I guarantee to get you out. If not, just pretend I didn’t say anything."

This ti, the huge boar and White Snake seed to ponder for a long ti, as if they didn’t understand Li Yifei’s words, yet seed to comprehend. A minute later, the huge boar nodded its head.

Li Yifei said, "Alright, the agreent is reached. I hope you can abide by it. I’ll find a way for you now!"

Li Yifei imdiately set to work. He first collected weapons from the bodies of those rcenaries, including machine guns, handguns, explosives, and shoulder-fired grenade launchers, along with a few grenades. Li Yifei gathered them all. These were weapons, and he also found so sturdy vines, the thickest kind, as thick as a person’s wrist. Li Yifei collected so and tied them to a tree, fixing one side near the valley, tightened as much as possible.

These trees weren’t particularly tall, around ten to twenty ters, and not very thick. If they were the kind with a diater of several ters, Li Yifei would be helpless unless he found a nearby place in the valley and dug slowly; it would take forever. Besides, they didn’t have any handy equipnt, only a sapper shovel.

Another way was to channel water to flood them upwards, but this was also a bad idea. The stream at the entrance was higher in elevation than here. Still, to channel it here, even a bulldozer would take several days, and that’s not considering the aesthetics of the engineering task, just digging a channel to direct water.

Since there are so many trees here, they might as well use them.

The size of these two creatures was too large; Li Yifei couldn’t co up with a good thod in a short ti.

Li Yifei even found several solid explosives. This discovery was even more useful. He placed the solid explosives on one side of a tree, calculated its explosive yield. Once everything was ready, Li Yifei went to alert the huge boar and White Snake.

Just then, the forest ca alive with a noisy chattering sound. Li Yifei looked up to see those monkeys running back, previously scared off by gunfire into frenzied flight, even the big monkey had fled quite far.

The big monkey moved oddly, with one leg not functioning well, limping as it ran. The monkeys bared their teeth and showed clear hostility upon seeing the two, considering during the day, humans with those terrifying sounding weapons almost killed them.

Still, the huge boar below gave a few roars, seemingly explaining to the big monkey on behalf of Li Yifei.

The big monkey had a grim and indecisive expression, remaining silent for a mont, before slowly approaching, looking at Li Yifei and pointing at its own behind where a bullet was embedded, causing it tornt.

Li Yifei glanced at the big monkey’s wound and said, "You want

to help you get it out?"

The big monkey nodded. Li Yifei said, "Okay, I’ll help you get it out."

The big monkey nodded again, and Li Yifei gathered so tools and had the big monkey lie down.

Knowing that Li Yifei was different from those other people and needing his help, the big monkey obediently lay down. Li Yifei didn’t even use any anesthesia and directly used a small knife to dig out the two bullets from the big monkey’s body.

Throughout the process, although the big monkey grimaced and bared its teeth, it didn’t resist. Once Li Yifei was done, it let out a breath, got up from the ground, and took a few steps. It realized that although the wound hurt, it no longer felt that piercing pain. Previously, with the bullets lodged inside, every movent was unbearable.

Seeing that the big monkey was fine, the little monkeys were all smiles and clasped their hands at Li Yifei and Xu Shanshan, seemingly in thanks.

The big monkey also lowered its head to Li Yifei, similarly expressing its gratitude.

"Now I need to blow up a tree, tell these monkeys to move away," Li Yifei said.

The big monkey thought for a mont, then turned and roared twice at the little monkeys. They imdiately scurried away, with so running dozens of ters away. Li Yifei set the tir, and with Xu Shanshan, hid behind another big tree, pulling hard on a vine in his hand.

After a loud bang, the entire valley shook, and the targeted big tree was blasted off, falling in the direction they had pulled the vine. The big monkey also joined in, helping to pull.

Soon, the blasted tree fell down the valley in the pre-set direction.

The white python had already retreated below, while the giant boar, too large to fit in, looked up at the falling tree, its eyes widening in anticipation of dodging.

Seconds later, with a thunderous crash, the tree fell. Due to the vine, it fell root-end up.

The angle was just right, and Li Yifei nodded with satisfaction and cut the vine.

After doing this several tis, Li Yifei had sent down a few big trees, but it still wasn’t enough. He decided to go down personally to adjust the positioning.

Xu Shanshan gave him a tug, not saying anything, but Li Yifei understood her intention, shook his head, and said, "It’s fine. I’ll take stuff down."

"Okay," Xu Shanshan nodded.

Li Yifei went down to the small valley and stood with the giant boar and white python, feeling the massive size of these creatures even more clearly. Humans seed so insignificant compared to them.

The giant boar and white python ca over, curiously looking at Li Yifei, seeing him as just a tiny figure. The giant boar snorted a couple of tis, as if expressing sothing.

Li Yifei walked over and patted the giant boar’s fang, looking at this elephant-like creature. He couldn’t tell what era this animal was from. It was called a boar, but it was too big; it could pass for an elephant. As for the white python... Li Yifei felt that if this creature appeared by West Lake, everyone would certainly believe it was the White Snake.

After communicating with them both, Li Yifei used the vines Xu Shanshan threw down to bind a big tree, and had the giant boar pull it, adjusting the angle.

Li Yifei could co down because he was light and small, but to get these two guys, especially the giant boar, back up, he needed to make good adjustnts.

The big monkey, unable to stand the boredom, jumped down along the tree. As soon as it ca down, it leaped on top of the giant boar, seemingly riding it, gesturing energetically.

The giant boar imdiately stopped, roaring in displeasure, while the big monkey burst into laughter, becoming even more exuberant.

The result was that the giant boar went on strike, kicking continuously, trying to shake the big monkey off; otherwise, it refused to work.

Li Yifei stopped them both and persuaded a bit before the big monkey jumped down. The giant boar roared in dissatisfaction, and Li Yifei had to say, "I have other things to do. If you don’t want to go up, go ahead and ss around; I won’t bother you."

Only then did the giant boar start working seriously. It took several hours to adjust the trees properly and return to the top. Li Yifei went up, blew down a few more big trees, and completed the final road paving.
