Chapter 1532: Chapter 1584: Wu Shuwei’s Little Dilemma

Then, Li Yifei could see more of the scenery. After staring for a few seconds, the image was a bit provocative, so Li Yifei looked away.

The discomfort from being drunk was dispelled by Li Yifei. Although Wu Shuwei didn’t know how he did it, if it was just a simple massage, it wouldn’t have been possible.

What a mysterious man, Wu Shuwei lay back down and pulled the blanket up to her chest, covering herself. She looked at Li Yifei, lost in thought.

Li Yifei stood up, pointed to the side of the bed, and said, "Are you alright now? Then just go back to sleep, it’s pretty late anyway. There’s a glass of water over there, drink it if you’re thirsty."

Seeing Wu Shuwei nod, Li Yifei turned and walked out.

Wu Shuwei pursed her lips. After drinking, she felt her mouth dry and turned her head to see a glass of water on the small cabinet beside her. She got up and drank more than half of the glass in big gulps.

"It’s truly amazing, my head doesn’t hurt, my throat doesn’t hurt, it feels like I’ve had a full-body spa, filled with energy." She placed the glass back, stretched her body, and found the day’s fatigue had vanished.

Reflecting on the morning when Li Yifei helped her with a massage, Wu Shuwei felt even more curious about him.

Lying in Li Yifei’s bed, Wu Shuwei could sll an unusual scent in her nose, sowhat like the sll of sun-dried, but slightly different.

Generally speaking, Wu Shuwei had a bit of a cleanliness obsession, not to ntion lying in a man’s bed, covered in his blanket, it wasn’t a joke. Yet today, she found herself secretly sniffing Li Yifei’s scent, which was nothing short of a miracle.

"What a strange sll, but it’s very pleasant," Wu Shuwei was startled by her own thoughts. She grabbed the blanket, twisted her body, and snuggled in. She soon moved back out, thinking that hiding under the blanket would be even more embarrassing, exposing her to more of Li Yifei’s scent.

After a few rounds of this, Wu Shuwei still didn’t get up to go back to her room to sleep; instead, she lingered in Li Yifei’s bed for more than an hour before a full bladder forced her back to her own room to use the bathroom.

Passing through the living room, she saw Li Yifei typing away fiercely at his computer.

"Not sleeping?" Wu Shuwei intended to sneak back to her room after a glance, but as soon as she turned, she heard Li Yifei’s voice, so she turned back and said, "Yeah, I couldn’t sleep, just got up."

"Alright then." Li Yifei responded, and continued to focus on his computer screen.

He was reviewing a summary sent from ho, detailing the results of the Li family’s confrontations with other families during his long absence.

The files alone were several hundred gabytes, which, upon receiving, made Li Yifei want to applaud and cheer for its excellence.

Li Yifei examined everything carefully, taking an hour to go through the acquisitions from the Sun Family, the benefits given to other families, and various enterprise collaborations. He had not even gotten to the Lin family’s situation yet. Essentially, the Lin family was also in turmoil, with their structure half-collapsed. The Lin father and son’s predicant left others in the Lin family too afraid to say anything.

But the Lin family brought it upon themselves; they couldn’t bla others. They never considered what would happen if the Li family were defeated when they confronted them.

The Ye family gained so benefits, but compared to the Li family, it was just a fraction, only tens of billions. Still, Old Master Ye was overjoyed, with the gains shoring up the Ye family’s main industry. They used to compete with the Sun family, but now with the assets transferred to them, Ye Yunzhu received a call from Old Master Ye, asking her to express gratitude to Li Yifei on behalf of the Ye family.

Li Yifei just chuckled at this point, because once money reaches a certain level, it becos a ga of numbers, though more is always better. More money ans more possibilities.

Li Yifei and his wives aid to establish a great fortune for the Li family, so that even if future generations were less ambitious, they could squander away for a few more years.

Concerns about not being rich beyond the third generation didn’t apply to the Li family. As long as Li Yifei lived, he could oversee the family through the fourth and fifth generations. What cos after, he couldn’t predict or control.

After running the information over in his mind and morizing it, Li Yifei destroyed the related docunts.

These were confidential internal docunts of the Li family, so erasing them after reading was the best choice.

Li Yifei was just about to start reviewing the Lin family section. As the head of the family, he needed to be aware of these matters. But just as he opened the folder, Wu Shuwei erged from her room in a changed set of pajamas, barefoot on the carpet, tiptoeing quietly toward him like a kitten.

Li Yifei looked up, and Wu Shuwei pursed her lips, asking, "Do you want so juice? I can make so."

"Sure, just a glass of orange juice would be nice," Li Yifei replied, closing the folder and placing the computer on the table.

He casually turned on the television, not expecting it to play an adult program. The peculiar noises startled him, almost making him drop the remote.

On the other side ca a crash, as Wu Shuwei failed to hold the cup, and it fell. Fortunately, it landed on the carpet, so it wasn’t broken. Of course, she also heard the strange sound and, as an adult, naturally knew what the sound was.

Luckily, the sound only lasted a few seconds before Li Yifei changed the channel.

Sitting back, Li Yifei glanced at Wu Shuwei, noticing she was looking down. Li Yifei gave an awkward smile; this ti, the show was a normal program.

Once Wu Shuwei finished making the juice, Li Yifei thanked her and took a big gulp.

By this ti, evening had already fallen. The two had been awake for a while but hadn’t eaten. After drinking the juice, Wu Shuwei felt her appetite return and said to Li Yifei, "You’ve saved

again; let

treat you to dinner."

Li Yifei asked, "Is there a price limit this ti?"

Li Yifei was referring to the last al when Wu Shuwei had set a price limit. This ti, Wu Shuwei rolled her eyes at Li Yifei after hearing this and said, "Whatever you want to eat, I... can treat you."

Though he joked, Li Yifei wasn’t impolite. Since his car was still parked at Sashar’s house, the two only found a nearby restaurant to have a al and then returned to the room together.

Upon entering the room, Wu Shuwei stopped before returning and looked at Li Yifei, wanting to speak but hesitating.

Li Yifei asked, "Need sothing?"

"Um... that person, how did you handle it?" Wu Shuwei asked, referring to Obe.

"Him? He panicked and fell on his own, seems like his arms and legs are pretty seriously hurt. That wasn’t , he did it to himself!"

Wu Shuwei looked at Li Yifei’s innocent face, not believing Obe had fallen on his own. Oh, it sounds quite serious. Wu Shuwei covered her mouth and laughed, saying, "Thank you, really."

Li Yifei waved his hand and said, "No need to be polite. Drink a little less next ti. Being a woman outside, knowing full well that a pack of lechers are eyeing you, you still drink so much; it’s being irresponsible to yourself!"

Wu Shuwei’s face turned a bit dark, saying, "There was no way around it. I didn’t want to miss this opportunity... Nevermind, I won’t bother you with it anymore, don’t want to affect your mood."

Li Yifei chuckled, "Get so rest early. You probably have things to do tomorrow. But if that pervert bothers you again, you can call . This ti, no benefit fee needed!"

Wu Shuwei felt a warmth in her heart. She wanted to say sothing but felt it was too sentintal. She nodded toward Li Yifei, opened the bedroom door, and went in.

Wu Shuwei closed the door without locking it. Her interactions over the past few days had shown her that Li Yifei was still a gentleman. Though sotis his words were a bit blunt, he hadn’t done anything excessive to her. Continuing to guard against him seed a bit excessive.

If she chose to trust a man, she wouldn’t be so guarded.

Li Yifei returned to his room and stood at the window in a daze for a mont.

Wu Shuwei hadn’t ntioned her work, but Li Yifei had already figured it out. He even took so ti to investigate what had happened to Wu Shuwei today.

She had been fighting for a eting opportunity with Dubai and was taken to a party where, under certain intentions, naturally, she was given too much to drink, leading to the events that followed.

This battle for oil extraction rights was essentially hopeless for Huaxia. Not to ntion technology, in terms of which Europe, Arica, and Japan surpassed Huaxia, while these countries’ companies had significant backing. Thus, the UAE was more inclined toward these companies rather than Huaxia’s.

That’s the surface story. Behind the scenes, it involved transactions and even coercion with the UAE by these countries.

Li Yifei had also uncovered so of these hidden matters, which was why he frowned and felt vaguely displeased.

Clearly bullying, but with

here, you won’t have the chance to bully Huaxia people.

Li Yifei clenched his fist, punched lightly, and the sound of the air exploding faintly resounded, showing the speed of his punch.

Wu Shuwei finished her bath and glanced at the door to find it hadn’t been touched. She wore a soft robe, and sat by the bed, yet found herself sleepless, lost in thought. After so ti, Wu Shuwei stood, walked to the door, placed a hand on the handle, twisted it, then stepped back. A few seconds later, she turned back, placed her hand on the door handle again, gently turned it open, inhaled deeply, and walked out.

Standing in front of Li Yifei’s door, Wu Shuwei hesitated, stopped, raised her hand, and then put it down. After wrestling with her thoughts, she finally knocked lightly on Li Yifei’s door: "Knock, knock, knock."
