Karni’s body continued to mutate.

He grew to be over three ters tall, and his skin turned a dark purple mixed with shades of blue. Vein-like or sinew-like patterns bulged on his skin, and his muscles trembled and twitched all over. All the wounds on his body stopped bleeding and instead oozed a dark, viscous fla.

His burnt face beca even more terrifying. Probably, even Karni himself would be startled if he saw it.

The wings on his back—rather than calling them wings, they were more like ribs growing out of his back. mbranes similar to those of a bat’s wings stretched between the ribs.

He was gradually turning into a demon.

And this scene was all too familiar to Annan—

Yes.

After he ca to this world and entered the first nightmare... Captain Claus had tried to transform into this very form at the end.

But he didn’t complete the transformation and was killed by Annan with a finishing blow.

And judging by Benjamin’s reaction, such demons weren’t things that only appeared in nightmares.

Probably...

This was what one beca after the corruption level reached one hundred percent.

...Or rather, one of the possible forms?

"It’s about ti."

Annan murmured softly.

Over a minute had passed, and the Demon Eye was fully charged.

If one followed the theory of maximizing output, they should unleash a burst at the very mont of engagent.

Of course, that would be after applying a round of buffs...

Though Arthur did not have the Swordsman’s professional level, the Hand of Silver had a vocational characteristic that allowed adaptation to the environnt (nightmare). This enabled Annan to use so of the Hand of Silver’s power even within the nightmare.

As long as he had a silver coin.

After all, its core power ca from Divine Arts.

Ding—

A crisp sound of silver coins clashing echoed in Annan’s hand.

His motion, which resembled shuffling walnuts, stopped.

In the next mont, to the players’ astonishnt, Annan flicked his wrist and a dazzling, shiny silver foil appeared in his hand.

—It was sowhat different from before.

Annan noticed a thin glow reflecting off the blade in his hand.

The "Sharp Object" he had called upon before didn’t have this holy light...

Traces of frost-white spread from Annan’s fingertips, swiftly staining the blade.

Gazing back with blood-red eyes that seed to have completely lost reason was Karni.

Annan narrowed his eyes and activated the Demon Eye hanging in the air without any warning, unleashing the most power-draining destructive spell stored within!

—Bursting Fla of Light!

The next mont, the sky suddenly blazed with light.

After a brief delay, a pillar of golden-red light turned into a blade of thunder, plumting down.

It struck Karni in an instant!

Like the descent of a cot.

Accompanied by a massive boom, the ground around erupted!

At the point where the beam hit, the ground surged, turned into lava, and spewed skyward!

The re temperature around was enough to instantly set all the surrounding trees ablaze. But they were not burning with flas; instead, they turned to char rapidly... as if the flas weren’t burning from the outside in, but exploding from the inside out!

The rising wave of scorching hot air roared in.

The surrounding trees bent over, their leaves yellowed, and even started to catch tiny, dim flas.

But Annan was unscathed.

He remained standing in place, not blown away by the blast, nor forced to retreat.

As if he hadn’t felt the breath of that hurricane at all.

In Annan’s pupils, a dark gray square erged.

In front of Annan, a cubic air wall materialized in mid-air.

It was a square wall about three to four ters high, made of twisted and blurred air.

The scorching airwaves, upon reaching this spot, lost their original speed and were completely intercepted.

This was Annan’s Guided Spell, the "Wall of Stagnation"!

After the explosion ended, the wall vanished without a trace.

——But Karni was still alive.

His wounds were horrifying, with his upper body almost charred to a crisp... but he was still alive. The wounds were healing rapidly.

At this mont, without any hesitation, Annan plunged into the smoke that hadn’t fully cleared.

On his way, he tossed the pouch full of silver coins high into the air.

Simultaneously, Annan began chanting the Hand of Silver’s spell:

"Ye should know, this is the hand that usurps authority, immutable throughout the ages——"

It was a praise for the silver coins.

It was a warning for the faithful——

As Annan chanted, all the silver coins from Arthur’s purse flew out on their own, lting into a cold, shimring silver liquid in mid-air, wrapping around the blade faster than Annan could move.

The temporarily forged blade erupted with an intense curse aura.

It was as if it had beco a cursed object.

Annan had no ti to check its attributes.

Because by this ti, he had already reached Karni’s side.

Karni raised his hand, attempting to grab at Annan’s head.

At this mont, a flash of ice-blue brilliance passed through Annan’s eyes.

A terrible cold aura exploded out from Annan, in all directions——Karni’s skin, just charred black, suddenly cooled down, cracking and shattering.

At the sa ti, the cold curse’s power slowed Karni’s movents for an instant.

So Annan was quicker once more——he suddenly crouched down, dodging the grasp.

Then he leaped sideways in small steps, lifting the blade upward. The attack targeting Karni’s thigh shifted as his wrist twisted, aiming for Karni’s extended wrist!

The attack t no resistance.

To the touch, it was like slicing an apple in mid-air.

Karni’s bulging muscles and the tough bones in his wrist were both cleanly cut through by Annan.

In just a single encounter, Karni’s right forearm, oozing with thick, oil-like black blood, flew high into the air!

And the severed end touched by the silver blade began to show silvery-gray web-like patterns, spreading inward, extending up near the shoulder.

At the sa ti, the wound was instantly covered with frost.

The black blood, which could burn even on the ground, and the sprouting flesh from his rapid self-healing ability were all sealed inside the ice layer.

This was the Frost Sword Technique!

Under the pain, Karni instinctively tried to retract his hand.

But Annan didn’t back down, instead he advanced.

Maintaining the Guided Spell Frost Nova, Annan moved faster than Karni’s retracting right hand to get in front of Karni.

He launched an attack forward.

Fortunately, Arthur’s body was still fairly tall.

Annan’s blade managed to pierce into Karni’s lower abdon.

He felt only slight resistance, but the blade did not get stuck.

Thus, after thrusting the blade halfway in, Annan imdiately struck downward with force. At the sa ti, he rolled under Karni’s crotch to his back,

The attack effortlessly tore Karni from his abdon downward into two parts. But the process didn’t spurt out any blood. Only powdered blood clots froze and sprayed downward in large quantities.

The "Sharp Object" which was originally extrely fragile, had beco so durable under the reinforcent of the Hand of Silver...

Annan had not yet stood up behind Karni when he burst forth with power again.

With the montum, he cut off Karni’s left ankle directly!

From the mont Annan severed Karni’s right arm, the whole set of moves took less than three seconds!
