Any attack issued within the domain of the Grey or simply touched by the domain of the Grey would also beco a mory. This is undoubtedly a true "Absolute Defense."
Any attack, the mont it cos into contact with any corner of the Grey domain, would imdiately face a counterattack with 100% intensity. That’s the power of "Rembrance," the opposite of mory.
It’s as if the attacker "rembered" the sensation of being hit by their own attack—while this mory couldn’t possibly exist in their own mind, the Grey Professor could deceive the world and materialize this mory.
The counterattack, though identical to the one upon contact with the Grey domain, lasts longer than the attack’s "mont."
This is because, even if the event creating the mory existed only for an instant, it can be "rembered" for a long ti afterward.
This is an absolute defense comparable to a one-way street.
In a head-on conflict, without Elental Power that suppresses the Grey Elent, it is absolutely impossible to break through.
The reason Niusel was sent flying by his own attack was that during his "struggle forward" within the Grey domain, all the force exerted was stored up.
Stored within the Wall of Ash was the sum of the power Niusel emitted throughout his entire struggling process.
The reason why Annan’s Brilliant Sword could penetrate the Wall of Ash is quite simple.
It was just a fluke—a coincidence that could not be replicated.
Annan imdiately ca to the [Understanding], but the Grey Professor would inevitably hesitate out of fear.
Because the Brilliant Sword’s skill description is "burn the will to its limit, increase damage immunity that positively correlates with the will attribute, and store all damage received. Use the skill again to unleash all the absorbed damage, forming a massive luminous slash attack."
That is to say... the attack power of the Brilliant Sword after it is released directly depends on how much damage was exempted during the charging phase. This damage does not co out of nowhere but is released in doubled form after being absorbed—a capability similar to the Wall of Ash.

If Annan’s total health bar is five thousand, then when Annan takes a theoretical damage of ten thousand points from a light cannon, it could be reduced by 85% by the Brilliant Sword, resulting in only fifteen hundred points of damage, while the Brilliant Sword stores eight thousand five hundred points of base value damage, then reflecting it back two to three tis over.
This so-called triple revenge works just like that.
However, Annan took a hit from a true damage spell that deducts a percentage of his health forcibly—he was cursed by Professor Grey’s Divine Arts to a half-health state, much like being cursed by a Ghost-type Pokémon...
So, what is the damage reduction percentage of the Brilliant Sword when Annan’s health drops to two thousand five hundred?

The Wall of Ash can only rember the power of the Brilliant Sword in the "instant" it cos in contact with the Wall of Ash. But when it’s reflected back, the power of the Brilliant Sword has increased again!
If Professor Grey is like a one-way road... then Annan’s move is akin to the Muira Fist.
This is why the Brilliant Sword, capable of triple counter-damage when Annan is at half health, could incinerate the noble false body of the soul-bearer champion back then; but now, it only carved a shallow crack on Professor Grey.
It wasn’t because Professor Grey’s noble false body was particularly tough—it was because after going through the Wall of Ash, there wasn’t much power left!
It’s just because Professor Grey is uneducated... All his knowledge cos from the Grey Craftsman, and he did not pursue further learning. If it were a Wizard from Jade Tower or Thousand-Faced Phantom Tower, they would probably figure it out quickly.
Professor Grey was bluffed by Annan, believing it to be a conflict of Elental Powers exhausting his Grey Elent, and that’s why his defenses were breached—because even Professor Grey himself couldn’t understand, let alone believe, that any power could penetrate the absolute defense of the Wall of Ash.
He could only rationalize it as running "out of energy."
Annan’s strike may have been either stealing Elental Power or directly neutralizing it. That’s why it could pierce through...
Indeed, this was the case.
Though Niusel was in a dire state, he had collected enough information for Annan. The Elental Power of "Understanding" allowed Annan to grasp the essence of this information upon "contact"; and the Elental Power of "Wisdom" allowed Annan to co up with a plan in an instant.
It might have been by chance, but it was Annan’s deliberate doing!
Professor Grey was indeed extraordinarily powerful.
Unless Annan used the power of "Siren of the Third Order" to perform an ultimate exchange... Otherwise, indeed, there would be no chance to defeat him quickly.
But if Annan were to exchange one for one with Professor Grey, obviously, it would be a win for Professor Grey.
If one wants to defeat Professor Grey by conventional ans... then there’s only one possibility.
That’s the only one among thousands of possibilities.
Only when Professor Grey is fully defensive, unable to attack Annan; releases all his Elental Power to the outside; stands still without moving, not using any spells to increase ntal resistance or triggered evasion; and anwhile is in a relaxed state of mind...
