"So, Brother Zhuo, you must be one of the top-tier platinum mbers, right?" Yi Anguo asked.

"Of course, but you can beco one too," Zhuo Weidong said with a smile.

"? I’m qualified to be a platinum mber?" Yi Anguo asked in surprise.

"Certainly! Don’t underestimate yourself and your current standing. You own 1,600 properties under your na, and their total value exceeds one billion yuan. Of course you qualify to be a top-tier platinum mber here," Zhuo Weidong explained.

"But those properties essentially belong to the bank. I still owe the bank one billion yuan!" Yi Anguo countered.

"The club only investigates the total value of assets under your na. They don’t care how much you owe the bank," Zhuo Weidong clarified. "How much you can borrow from the bank is a testant to your own capabilities. Even owing the bank a billion is a reflection of your strength."

Yi Anguo and Zhuo Weidong followed the glamorous woman known as Afang into a room to register his mber information. The staff quickly verified his details, acknowledging that his assets exceeded one billion yuan. This qualified him to beco one of the club’s platinum mbers and enjoy their finest services.

As a newly promoted platinum mber, Yi Anguo received a special privilege: he could select one of the won for a single night, free of charge. He followed Afang into another room, where she operated a projector, displaying photos and profiles of various won. Each profile included the woman’s asurents, height, ho province, current occupation, minimum price, and other requirents.

Every woman was beautiful, and most were no older than twenty-four, with the exceptions being those who were particularly outstanding. To his surprise, all the won had at least a high school education, and many were current university students or recent graduates. One profile was even more impressive: a twenty-six-year-old who held master’s and doctoral degrees from overseas.

Yi Anguo quickly stopped Afang and pointed to the woman nad Ding Jing. "Is this information real? You’re not joking, are you? A Ph.D. in finance from a renowned Arican university? How could she end up in a position where she needs to sell herself? She should be able to find a high-paying job easily! And a family that could afford to send her to study abroad couldn’t have been ordinary, right? They must have been well-off."

"The information is all completely real. There are no falsehoods," Afang said with a smile. "Ding Jing’s family was originally doing alright. They owned a small factory, but her father got addicted to playing the stock market and lost a fortune. He not only mortgaged the factory to the bank for a huge loan but also took on many high-interest private loans.

"Soon, both the private lenders and the bank were hounding him for money. That small factory had long been gutted by her father, its assets nowhere near enough to cover its debts, and the bank certainly wasn’t going to let that slide.

"Right at that mont, Ding Jing’s mother fell ill and needed a kidney transplant, a procedure costing 500,000 yuan. Her father couldn’t afford the surgery and was already drowning in debt. Relentlessly pursued by creditors, he ultimately chose to commit suicide by jumping from a building.

"Even with a Ph.D. in finance, there was no way for Ding Jing to suddenly co up with enough money to pay off the debts and cover her mother’s surgery."

"Although Ding Jing is a bit older, she is very elegant and beautiful," Afang continued. "However, her terms are also very demanding. She will only do this for one year, and during that ti, she pledges to earn you a profit of at least six million yuan. You have to pay her three million yuan upfront. A year later, she will return that initial three million to you as well. In effect, she’ll give you a total of nine million yuan back after one year.

"Whether she can actually pull it off, who knows. But if she does, not only was your three million well spent, but you also gain a profit of six million.

"She seems very confident, though. If she fails, she’s willing to stay with you for the rest of her life and bear your children, without asking for any official status."

"She doesn’t also demand that I can’t touch her for the year, does she?" Yi Anguo couldn’t help but ask.

"No, she didn’t have a requirent like that!" Afang replied with a smile.

Yi Anguo nodded. "Still, that price is a bit too high, isn’t it? Three million for one year. Has anyone actually chosen her? Besides, she needs that three million to pay off debts and for her mother’s surgery, so there won’t be much left. How is she supposed to earn nine million in a year without any capital? If she really had that kind of ability, she wouldn’t have ended up in this situation in the first place."

Afang nodded. "You’re right. No one has chosen her yet. Tomorrow is her deadline; after that, her profile will be removed."

Wealthy people aren’t fools. Three million yuan a year is a staggering amount. What kind of woman couldn’t you find for that price? Why choose her, specifically? She wasn’t so famous movie or pop star. Those big-na celebrities from Hong Kong and Taiwan could command a million for a single night, and people were willing to pay it. Fa itself is a form of wealth and value—just look at Warren Buffett’s lunch, which auctions for a sky-high price simply because he’s a legend in the investnt world and people are willing to pay for that connection. The only thing Ding Jing had to offer was a Ph.D. in Finance and a Master’s in Law from a renowned Arican university. Although she could easily find a high-paying job, an annual salary of several hundred thousand yuan was like using a cup of water to put out a burning cart—it couldn’t solve her imdiate crisis. As for the promise to earn at least six million yuan in a year, it wasn’t impossible, but it was just as likely she could lose six million. After all, every investnt carries risk; the higher the potential profit, the greater the risk, and no one can guarantee an investnt won’t fail. Besides, Shenzhen wasn’t lacking in highly educated talent. Hiring soone with qualifications equal to Ding Jing’s would be easy enough for a salary of a few hundred thousand a year. Yi Anguo even suspected that after giving her the three million, he might have to provide another three million in capital before she could even begin investing to earn back the nine million.

"Actually, I’m very interested in this woman. Can you arrange for us to et and talk? I’ll choose her," Yi Anguo said.

"Of course, Mr. Yi! You’re so young and handso, I’m sure Ding Jing won’t refuse," Afang said with a smile.

After waiting for more than an hour, the woman nad Ding Jing finally appeared.

Ding Jing had clearly taken great care in her appearance, but it still couldn’t conceal the deep exhaustion and haggardness in her expression. She was tall and slender, standing at 1.72 ters, with long, jet-black hair that cascaded over her shoulders like a glossy waterfall.

Her face was a delicate oval shape. She had a straight, well-defined nose, soft pink lips, and arched eyebrows that looked as if they had been perfectly painted on. But it was her eyes that were truly captivating—crystal clear and shimring with a liquid light that could srize anyone who looked into them, leaving them utterly bewitched. Despite the exquisite beauty of her features and her elegant figure, she was weighed down by her family’s tragedy. With her father dead and her mother critically ill, even the strongest woman would appear fragile and find it impossible to muster a genuine smile. This occasion, however, demanded one, so she forced a polite smile onto her face.

Afang introduced him to Ding Jing. "Ms. Ding, this is our newest top-tier platinum mber. He is twenty-seven years old." She then gestured between them. "Mr. Yi, this is Ding Jing. Please, talk. I hope you’re successful. I won’t disturb you."

Ding Jing, in turn, was assessing Yi Anguo. She knew what being a top-tier platinum mber here signified, and she was surprised that a man of only twenty-seven had already achieved such a status. After looking him over, she found him to be tall and handso. Apparently satisfied, she took the initiative to speak. "Mr. Yi, you should be aware of my conditions. Are you truly willing?"

"I wasn’t sure before," Yi Anguo said with a nod. "But after eting you in person, I’ve made my decision. I do have one question, though. As a Ph.D. in finance from an Arican university, did you not earn any money while you were studying in the US all those years?"

"I did earn so, but not nearly enough," Ding Jing replied, her voice soft. "My father owed far too much money, and my mother urgently needs her operation. I simply had no other choice at the ti, so I took this path."
