After dinner, everyone went to sing karaoke and have fun together. Since they were all staying at the hotel, it didn’t matter if they got drunk, so everyone relaxed and played freely. In the end, many people drank a lot.

When Yi Anguo had almost had enough to drink, he didn’t drink with anyone who offered, and no one dared to insist.

Liu Yifei, Su Chang, and Yang Mi didn’t drink too much either, but they sang quite a few songs.

Especially Liu Yifei, who sang the most, and it was clear she really enjoyed singing and was quite good at it.

"Yang Mi, you actually sing pretty well too," Yi Anguo said with a smile.

"I really like listening to you sing that song ’Lovers’ Refuge’.’

"Lovers’ Refuge? I haven’t sung that song," Yang Mi said, puzzled.

"It’s that song: ’I devote a lifeti to nurturing you.

Just hoping you pause your wandering gaze.

Please grant the power of boundless love, and the strength to be loved.

Let sit peacefully under the Bodhi tree, quietly contemplating.

I devote a lifeti to nurturing you.’" Yi Anguo said while starting to sing. Although he wasn’t drunk, he was slightly tipsy.

"Is this ’Lovers’ Refuge’? This song is so nice! But I’ve never heard it before!" Yang Mi said excitedly after listening.

"Really? Then I must have made a mistake," Yi Anguo rembered that this song was the the of the TV series "Palace," which wouldn’t co out for a few years.

"Who sings this song? I’ve never heard of it," Yang Mi pursued.

"No one’s sung it; I’m just singing randomly," Yi Anguo quickly said.

"But I don’t sing well. If you sing it, it should sound great."

"Do you want to learn it?"

"Really? Sure. Did you write this song yourself? I didn’t expect Mr. Yi to write songs too!" Yang Mi said.

Liu Yifei and Su Chang were also quite surprised on the side.

"I’m just singing randomly, I can’t compose music, so if you want to sing this song, you’ll have to listen to sing, and then learn it yourself," Yi Anguo said.

"But not today. I’ve had so wine and am a bit out of it, can’t sing it now."

By this ti, many people were already drunk and were heading back to their hotel rooms to rest.

"Liu Yifei! Didn’t your mom co with you to the crew?"

Yi Anguo couldn’t help but ask, since he hadn’t seen Liu Yifei’s mom show up.

"My mom had so business and went back to the U.S.," Liu Yifei replied.

"Oh! That explains it. How could she be at ease with you alone?" Yi Anguo nodded.

"I’m already 22, why wouldn’t she be at ease?" Liu Yifei replied with a smile.

Yi Anguo smiled too, knowing better than to say more.

"They say there are lots of unspoken rules in the entertainnt industry, especially for young and beautiful female celebrities like you. I’m curious if you’ve ever faced them, and how you deal with them?" Yi Anguo changed the topic.

The three of them fell silent after hearing Yi Anguo’s words.

"Mr. Yi! Since you brought up the topic of unspoken rules targeting young and pretty female celebs, I’m also particularly curious if you would impose such rules on artists like us?" Yang Mi countered.

"I don’t think I’d subject female celebrities to unspoken rules," Yi Anguo thought for a mont and said.

"What about your relationship with Zhao Liying? Don’t you think that counts as an unspoken rule?" Yang Mi pressed further.

"An unspoken rule usually involves one party seeking sothing from another. Zhao Liying hasn’t asked anything from , nor have I asked anything from her. So there’s no unspoken rule between us," Yi Anguo answered.

"Alright! Then I can tell you I’ve encountered unspoken rules, and not just once," Yang Mi paused before saying.

"I can tell you, in the entertainnt industry, unspoken rules are quite normal."

"To succeed and beco famous, to get the leading role, sleeping with the director and accepting unspoken rules is the quickest shortcut."

"If I were willing to accept unspoken rules, I would have already been an A-list star."

"I started acting in films and television shows as a child star, but to this day, I’m just a B- or C-list artist because I refuse to accept unspoken rules."

"I believe with my efforts, even without accepting unspoken rules, I will eventually beco an A-list star."

Yi Anguo couldn’t help but nod and then looked at Liu Yifei.

"Why are you looking at ? I don’t need to accept unspoken rules. My mom has always been by my side, I have my godfather’s protection, and my dad and grandpa ensure no one dares bother ," Liu Yifei said proudly.

Yi Anguo nodded, knowing there were nurous rumors about Liu Yifei and her godfather, as well as between her mother and her godfather, but he didn’t dare to ask.

Yi Anguo chatted with Su Chang a bit more. What impressed him most about Su Chang was her performance as the female lead in the fantasy TV series, pure, natural, beautiful, and elegant.

As the night deepened, everyone went their separate ways, returning to their respective rooms to rest.

Yi Anguo had rested for several hours that afternoon and found himself wide awake, sitting in the living room, sipping tea to sober up and watching TV.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Yi Anguo went to the door and peered through the peephole, surprised to see Liu Yifei outside.

After opening the door, Liu Yifei said awkwardly, "Sorry to bother you. My phone charger is broken. Could I borrow yours for a while?"

"Sure! Do you want to co in and have a cup of tea?" Yi Anguo nodded.

"Drinking tea this late? You won’t be able to sleep," Liu Yifei said.

"It’s mainly because I slept a few hours this afternoon and am not quite ready for bed," Yi Anguo explained.

"Is that so? I also slept a few hours this afternoon and can’t quite sleep now," Liu Yifei smiled slightly.

"Fortunately, it’ll rain tomorrow, so we don’t have to get up early for an appointnt, otherwise it would be troubleso."

"Since you don’t feel like sleeping, why don’t you co in for so tea and chat?" Yi Anguo invited her.

Liu Yifei nodded and said, "Alright then! I’ll get my phone and charge it."

Liu Yifei went back to her room to get her phone and then returned, set up the charger, and sat down for tea.

"You went to the U.S. as a child; are you more accustod to coffee and not so fond of tea?" Yi Anguo asked.

"Not at all! My mom likes tea. I’m okay with either, coffee or tea," Liu Yifei shook her head and said.

"Did your mom educate you strictly from a young age?" Yi Anguo asked curiously.

"Sotis she was quite strict, but it was okay. She was just loving , setting high expectations for my own good," Liu Yifei nodded.

"Did having your mom constantly beside you make you feel restricted?" Yi Anguo continued.

"A little bit, but my mom is actually quite respectful of ," Liu Yifei said calmly.

"You’re 22 now. Is there any boy who makes your heart flutter? Have you been in love?" Yi Anguo asked.

"I know you debuted at 15, with your mom always by your side. I assu it would make dating quite inconvenient for you."

"22 should still be quite young, especially for those of us in the entertainnt industry. If I really t my destined prince charming, I think my mom wouldn’t stop from dating," Liu Yifei explained.

"What about you? Are you married already?"

Liu Yifei was actually quite curious about Yi Anguo. No one knew exactly how rich he was, but he was often called the richest man in the country since he was the chairman of Anguo Group.

Among the many enterprises under Anguo Group, the most famous ones were the Anjing online supermarket and Huaxing smartphones.
