To Jake’s surprise, Manager Mina was unusually quiet during the al, only occasionally politely urging Jake to eat more.

The couple’s restaurant had an environnt that needed no introduction. The walls were plastered with photos of lovers, many of which bore the signatures of real couples who had dined in the private room before.

The center of the table was decorated with a circle of flowers arranged in the shape of a heart, instantly maximizing the romantic atmosphere.

Jake was relatively familiar with such settings, having experienced them with Mia before. However, dining with his superior at a couple’s restaurant was sowhat awkward.

Fortunately, Jake and Manager Mina had once gone on a business trip together, giving them so brief shared experience. Manager Mina was also quite warm and didn’t put on the usual airs of a leader—at least, that was how Jake had felt until today.

The food at this restaurant was unexpectedly delicious, and Jake naturally indulged in the al. It wasn’t until they finished and ordered two desserts that work was finally discussed.

After taking a small bite of tiramisu, Mina finally spoke leisurely, "Jake, does this restaurant suit your taste?"

The bittersweet flavor blossod in his mouth. As Jake savored the dessert’s delicate texture, he answered Manager Mina’s concern honestly. "Yes, it’s one of the better restaurants I’ve been to in terms of flavor."

"Compared to the main dishes, I prefer the desserts here. They’re on par with so specialty dessert shops."

"Oh? So, does that an you co here often?" Jake asked unintentionally.

Mina suddenly smiled, shifting her gaze from the tiramisu to Jake.

"Mmm, I think the ambiance here is great—romantic and quiet, which helps think about work."

Noticing Manager Mina’s gaze, Jake also looked up.

With thick eyebrows, bright eyes, and a healthy wheat-colored complexion, Mina hadn’t drunk much today. At such close proximity to Jake, she couldn’t help but be drawn to his handso face.

Her smile grew brighter, her slightly intoxicated eyes moist and alluring, with an inner curve and outer lift that exuded a captivating charm.

"Your taste is impeccable. The atmosphere here is indeed unique," Jake said, glancing at Manager Mina before averting his eyes in agreent.

"What’s wrong? Why aren’t you looking at when you speak?" Mina’s voice was clear and deep, yet like a siren’s, it carried a bewitching lody.

Jake hadn’t expected Manager Mina to be so direct. Reluctantly, he t her eyes again.

Her flawless face was lightly made up, with faint red shimring eyeshadow accentuating her peach-blossom eyes, naturally seductive. Her small nose was delicate and adorable, making one want to reach out and touch it.

Her lips, neither too thin nor too thick, looked indescribably soft and fragrant, with a trace of black cocoa powder from the tiramisu clinging to the corner of her mouth, adding a playful touch to her mature deanor.

Jake’s ears instantly turned red. He was no longer an innocent college boy, but Manager Mina was too close. The faint scent of her breath, different from the floral aroma of the private room, wafted to the tip of his nose—a mix of red wine’s richness and the mature woman’s natural fragrance. The dual assault on his senses was sothing no man could withstand.

"N-no, Manager, you..." Jake pointed to his own mouth, hinting at Manager Mina while also avoiding the question.

This small gesture didn’t escape Mina’s sharp eyes. She chuckled inwardly, thinking, "How shy~," then took a tissue, pulled out a compact mirror from her bag, and carefully wiped away the cocoa powder from the corner of her mouth.

Only after confirming there were no other flaws on her face did she continue the conversation—though this ti, it was about work.

"I won’t tease you anymore. Let’s talk about the issues in the sales departnt now. I won’t beat around the bush—what do you think about the client poaching incident? Any ideas?"

"Whew." Handling work was much easier for Jake than dealing with Manager Mina.

Instantly, his confidence surged, and the allure Manager Mina had brought was temporarily pushed to the back of his mind.

"I think it’s related to soone on the inside."

With "inner voices" at his disposal, Jake didn’t need to directly point out Lena’s involvent. Without evidence, wild guesses could backfire.

"Mmm, I’ve considered that. What do you think? Who betrayed the company?" Mina had a sharp eye for people and hardly suspected Jake, so she cut straight to the point.

Rubbing his chin with his right hand, Jake pretended to ponder. "I don’t have many clues yet, but for soone to poach Shigella’s clients so seamlessly, their position can’t be too low."

Jake had originally planned to quietly use the team to expose Lena and Director Brant. But since Manager Mina had approached him, and given her position, it would be much easier for her to handle the matter. So he took the opportunity to steer her attention toward the two of them.

"Oh?" Mina had considered this possibility before but dismissed it as unlikely. Now that Jake brought it up, she pondered it again.

In the entire sales departnt, apart from team mbers and team leaders, the highest-ranking were Director Brant, herself, and a deputy general manager. However, the deputy general manager never interfered with the sales departnt’s affairs. If she ruled herself out, did that leave Director Brant?

His inco was no less than hers. Why would he betray the company for petty gains? Was he planning to jump ship?

A series of questions gave Mina a slight headache.

Rubbing her temples with her slender fingers, she looked at the clever Jake and hatched a plan. She then proceeded to share everything she knew with him.

As expected, things unfolded just as Mina had anticipated.

This also aligned perfectly with Jake’s thoughts, as the information Manager Mina offered coincided highly with his own, like a puzzle that had regained its missing crucial piece, revealing a stunning effect. Manager Mina not only recounted all the important details about the two companies but also disclosed everything about her previous collaborations with "Shigella."
