They all without exception had exquisite and beautiful appearances, with long golden hair. Though it was drenched in seawater, it seed not to be wet, and as the breeze passed by, their hair shimred like golden light.

"Truly beautiful creatures," Jiang Cheng mused.

Not only Jiang Cheng, even Yanran and Ba Lvti were amazed by the beauty of these rmaids.

Although they rarely spoke of their own looks, they were confident in their appearances, confird countless tis by the looks or expressions from the n around them.

Yet, beside these rmaids, even their beauty seed to pale in comparison.

They gazed at these beautiful creatures, and the rmaids, in turn, scrutinized them.

To their shock, the rmaids began to speak.

Jiang Cheng and his companions had landed their spaceship on a water-covered planet, originally just planning to take a breather from their long journey, since being inside the spaceship for too long could easily lead to silence.

While enjoying the sea breeze and admiring the ocean views, they suddenly saw a group of rmaids being chased by creatures resembling Sea Wolves.

In such a situation, Jiang Cheng and the others would certainly step in to help.

The group of Sea Wolves chasing the rmaids were shot down by Yanran alone, successfully saving the rmaids.

Unexpectedly, as Yanran and Ba Lvti looked at these beautiful creatures, the rmaids actually began speaking.

"Thank you, thank you." One of the rmaids spoke out.

Perhaps from not communicating with humans for a long ti, or maybe because they could only speak this way, they articulated their words slowly and awkwardly, though their pleasant voices made up for it.

Their voices truly were heavenly, and if these rmaids sang, it would undoubtedly be the most beautiful song in the world.

For a mont, Yanran and Ba Lvti were almost captivated by their voices.

However, Jiang Cheng, more composed, was not swayed by the rmaids’ appearances or voices. He coughed softly to remind Yanran and Ba Lvti, then asked, "Why can you speak?"

The rmaid turned to look at him: "Now, we, can, speak."

Jiang Cheng scratched his head, unsure of what to say next.

Ba Lvluo quickly picked up the conversation: "Were you born able to speak? You need to know, the language you’re using is universal. It’s not your, uh, fish language."

The rmaids laughed: "Why do you think only humans can speak?"

This was a question Ba Lvluo had never considered. She was stumped by the rmaids’ question.

"Do you usually communicate using this language?" Yanran continued to ask, also stunned by what she was witnessing.

"Not really, we have our own, well, another kind of language." At this, the rmaid said sothing in another language that Jiang Cheng and the others didn’t understand, but it undoubtedly was a language.

"How to say this," the rmaid pondered, unexpectedly captivating Jiang Cheng and the others once again with her unconscious actions.

Apart from their tails in place of feet, their entire bodies were covered in a layer of fine scales, making their appearance eerily similar to humans.

"You could say, on this planet, our status is akin to that of humans on other planets," the rmaid stated, her face turning somber as if recalling sothing unpleasant.

"Or rather, over a century ago, our status was indeed like that," the rmaid’s expression grew sadder, "but now our existence is threatened, and whether we will still exist in the future is uncertain."

Jiang Cheng and the others quickly conversed.

They concluded that, although they saw these rmaids as fish, compared to humans, besides their appearance, they showed many human-like traits.

For instance, their use of the universal language, although it was puzzling how they learned it, showed they had learning capabilities.

Moreover, observing how the rmaid could think was a clear difference between them and other creatures.

Of course, now was not the ti to question why they could speak; Jiang Cheng and the others noticed the sadness in the rmaid’s tone.

They certainly faced a problem, and it was a big one, potentially threatening their existence.

Yanran and Ba Lvluo, inherently kindhearted girls, were touched by the rmaid’s pitiful expression.

They couldn’t help but feel sympathy for them.

"What troubles have you encountered? Tell us, maybe we can help solve it," Ba Lvti, straightforward and frank, asked first.

"It’s those Sea Wolves you just saw chasing us," the rmaid replied, "their numbers are increasing and they seriously threaten our survival."

"But haven’t you fought back against them?" Yanran asked, although looking at the rmaids’ slender figures, she doubted they had any effective thod.

"We have fought back, but over ti they developed resistance, and our attacks can no longer harm them," surprisingly, the rmaids had indeed fought back against the fierce Sea Wolves, contrary to Yanran’s expectations.

Ba Lvti couldn’t help but ask: "How did you fight them off? Please forgive , but you don’t seem like soone who would wield swords or guns."

Since the rmaids said they were people, Ba Lvti took it at face value.

The rmaids were undeniably beautiful, but to say they could battle, Ba Lvti found hard to believe.

The rmaids were slender, and their arms were equally delicate, giving an impression of weakness.

With such builds, let alone fighting, she doubted they had the strength to lift weapons or use them effectively.

Additionally, the rmaid ntioned that the Sea Wolves had developed resistance to their attacks, puzzling Yanran further. Had the Sea Wolves beco more resilient?

Seeing the doubt in Yanran and Ba Lvti’s eyes, the rmaid thought for a mont and said, "I’ll show you, though I don’t know if you’ll be hard." Yanran and Ba Lvti were moved; they hadn’t realized the rmaid could use Fan Country’s attacks.

Once they were ready, the rmaid took a deep breath, suddenly opened her mouth, and scread towards them.

The rmaid’s scream was silent.

In an instant, Yanran and Ba Lvti felt an intense pain in their heads, as if thousands of sharp needles were piercing their skulls, stirring in their minds, almost making them cry out in pain.
