Chapter 900: Chapter 367 Extortion Chapter 900: Chapter 367 Extortion The Arican President coughed violently a few tis before he regained his composure and angrily said, “A hundred billion US dollars? Why don’t you just rob soone?”

Yan Fei replied, “Robbery isn’t as fast as extortion.”

Yan Fei was right. Which bank now had a hundred billion dollars in cash? Unless it was the national treasury, no bank actually had that much. Even if soone did rob a bank, they wouldn’t get much. But the person on the other end was the President of the United States, and the funds at his disposal were astronomical, so extorting him was indeed much more efficient than robbery.

Yan Fei had lost a lot of money due to the hostile actions of the United States, which was why he had issued a super bounty task, costing him two billion dollars. That money wasn’t conjured out of thin air; he had worked hard to earn it. Therefore, he intended to recover his economic losses from the United States in one go, and he didn’t shy away from admitting that he was extorting the United States.

After hearing Yan Fei’s words, the Arican President was at a loss for words for a mont, but after so ti, he said, “A hundred billion dollars is impossible, we can give you no more than ten billion dollars, but not as compensation, rather as financial aid.”

Yan Fei imdiately refused, saying, “No, my terms don’t allow for bargaining. Not a penny less than a hundred billion dollars, and it cannot be under any guise of aid.”

The Arican President started to play hardball, saying, “Then there’s nothing to be done, we don’t have the money.”

Yan Fei sneered, “Your US consortium just recently sheared Japan’s economic wool, obtaining at least several trillion dollars in economic benefits, and you still say you have no money?”

It was then that the Arican President realized Yan Fei was eyeing the economic windfall they had gained from Japan. Last ti, the United States had instigated Japan and two other nations to invade Dream Island together, only for Japan to be defeated by Dream Island’s artificial whales. In a mont of crisis, foreign missteps incurred when Japan launched three nuclear weapons at Dream Island. The whole world seized on this to potentially sanction them comprehensively for Japan’s illegal developnt of nuclear weapons. Those countries invaded by Japan during World War II went even further, sending airplanes and warships to blockade Japan’s overseas routes.

Facing various threats and with Japan on the brink of collapse, the Japanese Pri Minister made a decision to fully align with the United States, seeking their power for protection and a chance to rise again. To implent this strategy, a heavy price had to be paid, surrendering the national economic sovereignty and allowing a US consortium to enter Japan and take control of the most critical core assets. During this takeover of the Japanese economy, the involved US consortium acquired wealth amounting to several trillion dollars.

But most of that imnse wealth consisted of fixed assets and stocks. Although these fixed assets and stocks could generate endless profits for them in the future, the actual cash generated from this operation by the United States was not substantial, just a hundred billion dollars.

Yet, Yan Fei sohow learned of the US consortium’s earnings from so channel and set his sights on the hundred billion dollars in cash held by the Aricans, determined to pry this juicy chunk of flesh from the jaws of the Aricans. After all, Dream Island had exerted great effort in fighting the Japanese fleet, yet the Aricans ended up benefitting the most. Yan Fei was naturally very annoyed and intended to seize this opportune mont for a spoil of war.

The Arican President had his own consortium behind him, and his consortium also gained imnse profits in this shearing operation. Because his own interests were at stake, the Arican President flatly refused, saying, “That’s absolutely impossible. That’s the money belonging to the US consortium, not state assets. There’s no way we’re compensating you with that.”

Pausing for a mont, the Arican President continued, “Actually, we in the United States don’t necessarily have to have those videos deleted, because I will deny all the content in those videos and stick to my story to the end, even if it ans giving up on reelection. Moreover, I believe those videos won’t stay on the internet forever. After a while, everyone will forget about them, and they won’t have any lasting impact on .”

Compared to that, the Arican President felt a hundred billion dollars was more tempting than reelection as President. So, given the choice, he still opted for the hundred billion dollars.

Yan Fei sneered, “At this point, whether you agree or not is no longer sothing you can decide on your own. If I don’t get the compensation I demand, we will take further action. Next, we will destroy all of your Arican satellites in space and blockade your satellite-launching capabilities, preventing any of your equipnt from entering space, rendering your high-tech weapons useless.”

The Arican President angrily said, “Yan Fei, you dare to attack our Arican satellites?”

Yan Fei replied, “Why wouldn’t we dare to do so? Are we to permit the United States to target Dream Island repeatedly without Dream Island retaliating? Not only will we prevent your Arican satellite equipnt from entering space, but we will also prohibit other countries’ satellites in space from providing any services to you. Any violators will have their satellites destroyed by us completely.”

Hearing Yan Fei’s ultimate threat, the Arican President roared, “Yan Fei, it looks like you’ve forgotten sothing. Our US military power is the strongest in the world, and we have a large number of nuclear weapons in our warehouses. If we wish, these weapons can be used, and we can obliterate your Dream Island from the sea surface in an instant. Even if your anti-interception missile system in space could intercept so nuclear weapons, many more would hit Dream Island, annihilating it completely.”
