Chapter 830: Chapter 342 Prehistoric Civilization_2 Chapter 830: Chapter 342 Prehistoric Civilization_2 In this cavern, unlike the ones above, there was sunlight filtering through fissures overhead. Bathed in this light, Yan Fei discovered that the underground cavern was filled with vegetation and vines. Amidst these plants and vines lay a large tal object, seemingly plunged upside down.
The chanical Sparrow was too close to this tallic object to discern what it truly was. So, Yan Fei maneuvered the chanical Sparrow to fly upward in order to get a clearer view. Once the chanical Sparrow ascended to a certain height, Yan Fei, through the VR device, finally saw what the tal object was.
However, Yan Fei had never expected to encounter such a thing here and could hardly believe his eyes. He first removed the VR device, rubbing his eyes vigorously before putting it back on his head to continue examining the object. Ultimately, Yan Fei confird that the object inverted among the plants and vines was not so peculiar entity but a mysterious aircraft.
This aircraft was inverted underground, appearing to have plunged straight from the sky into the earth below. The craft’s design was distinctly science fiction in nature, its body made of a mysterious silver-white tal. The silver-white glow the chanical Sparrow had initially detected was sunlight reflected off a piece of the aircraft’s material. Unfortunately, only the front half of the aircraft was present, and it was in shambles, clearly beyond repair.
Yan Fei was thrilled, hastily controlling the chanical Sparrow to photograph the mysterious aircraft. At first glance, this crashed craft was a high-tech product. Its inherent technology was clearly far more advanced than the current technological level of Earth just from its design. However, judging by the impact traces the craft made on the cavern and the moss-covered body with the nose buried in vegetation and vines, it was evident that the aircraft had been in this cavern for over ten thousand years.
Back then, humans had not yet stepped onto the historical stage, nor had human civilizations erged. So, who could have owned this aircraft? How did it end up here? After encountering sothing so blatantly contrary to common sense in the cavern, Yan Fei was montarily stunned. If such advanced technology had existed in human history, was it possible that human history was about to be rewritten? Or could it be that this was not a human warship at all but an alien one?
Yan Fei felt he was on the verge of uncovering a new discovery about human historical developnt. He suppressed his excitent and controlled the chanical Sparrow to take exterior shots of the aircraft. After he finished photographing, he let the chanical Sparrow randomly find a crevice and enter the inside of the aircraft.
Although the exterior cavern had faint sunlight, the inside of the aircraft was pitch black. Fortunately, the chanical Sparrow was equipped with a miniature searchlight on its head, which, though it could only illuminate a small area, did not hinder the Sparrow from observing the interior of the aircraft using this light source.
Once the chanical Sparrow entered the aircraft, it found the interior teeming with the roots of plants and a layer of humus ford from the decay of those roots. In addition to the plants, there were also so small animals living inside. These creatures, startled by the glowing chanical Sparrow, started to flee the area.
Yan Fei could see that the inside of the aircraft was littered with various sophisticated equipnt and instrunts with unknown functions, but these had been completely worn out by the erosion of air, water, and vegetation. Their forr state as high-tech products was unrecognizable; they were covered in moss and weeds, looking more like ordinary rocks.
Although only half of the aircraft remained, its size was still imnse. The chanical Sparrow flying within it felt rather spacious. Despite the invasion of plants and animals, it was possible to see so very obvious devices intended to control the flight of the aircraft and so of the structural components of the aircraft itself.
As the chanical Sparrow flew, it recorded and photographed the scenes. Then it flew into a huge room, which was likely the control center of the aircraft, as it was surrounded by massive screens of unknown purpose. However, the locations of these screens had beco hollowed out, indicating that the screens were destroyed upon impact.
Below the screens were so objects resembling electronic devices, but they were beyond repair due to the ravages of ti and covered in moss, clearly unusable. Behind the electronic devices were rows of objects akin to chairs.
On one of these chairs, there was sothing resembling a spacesuit, strapped to the chair with safety belts. The chanical Sparrow flew closer to inspect, but it was impossible to see inside the spacesuit from the outside.
The chanical Sparrow began searching the control center and then started filming the scenes within. It was at this mont that an all too familiar drone notification popped up, “Special item detected, upgrade essential items necessary for drone upgrade.”
Yan Fei was taken aback. Ever since his drone had been upgraded to level 5, he had constantly been on the lookout for the special items necessary to continue the drone’s upgrade. However, since the tip-off about upgrade essential items in the Western Desert of The United States of Arica during the rescue of Yang Qi, there hadn’t been any news of such items.
Unfortunately, when the upgrade essential items were discovered in the Western Desert of The United States of Arica, Yan Fei had a more pressing mission to complete, which was to extract Yang Qi from the country. Moreover, considering the base in The United States of Arica was highly dangerous, Yan Fei did not take imdiate action to retrieve the upgrade essential items and decided to wait for an opportunity to fetch them.
Therefore, the drone had never acquired an upgrade essential item since its upgrade to level 5. Yan Fei began to wonder if due to the upgraded level, ordinary items were no longer capable of upgrading the drone. Unexpectedly, in the far reaches of Africa, he would once again co across traces of upgrade essential items.
In the Auxiliary Brain, an item shaped like a rectangular prism appeared—this was the real appearance of the upgrade essential items as displayed by the Auxiliary Brain. At first glance, this item seed sowhat like a brick, also covered with rust, yet it was unclear what it actually was.
Then Yan Fei controlled the chanical Sparrow to adjust the surveillance cara, only to discover that the brick-like item was inserted into the console. The part exposed was already overgrown with moss, and if it were not for the reminder from the Auxiliary Brain, Yan Fei would have had no idea where to find it.
Yan Fei was overjoyed. By obtaining this brick-shaped item, he could acquire one upgrade essential item. Furthermore, this find was unclaid, aning there was no need to compete with anyone—it was the easiest acquisition of all his items to date.
As long as Yan Fei could continue obtaining the upgrade essential items for the drone, in addition to enough rit points, the drone could be upgraded again. A level 5 drone was already imnsely powerful, crushing the fighter jets of all nations in the world. If the drone reached level 6, given the increase in strength with each upgrade, a level 6 drone would truly be invincible on Earth, and no force could stand as Yan Fei’s adversary.
Thrilled, Yan Fei continued to control the chanical Sparrow to conduct a thorough inspection of the other areas of the flying vehicle, but no further prompts were received from the Auxiliary Brain, indicating that there was only one upgrade essential item within the flying vehicle.
After the excitent, Yan Fei did not linger at the mysterious aircraft for too long. Although it may have been a high-tech warship left behind by a prehistoric civilization, it was not his most urgent task at hand. His priority was to rescue the hostages on Dream Island and ruin the enemies’ conspiracy against Dream Island.
As for this mysterious aircraft, it had been situated here for many years without being discovered, which suggested the site was incredibly safe. Yan Fei would explore this mysterious aircraft only after he had rescued the hostages from Dream Island. Moreover, the entrance to this place had been blown up and collapsed. The only way for Yan Fei to enter now was through another passage found by the ard militants.
