65 Chapter 50: Burning Flas

Hearing what Yan Fei said, the Caucasian man burst into laughter and said, "Kenya National Security Bureau? There is no such departnt in Kenya. You should've done your howork before trying to fool anyone, checking whether such a departnt even exists."

Yan Fei felt a bit embarrassed; he had just pretended to be soone from the Kenya National Security Bureau, aiming not to expose his identity and to create a legal pretext for his subsequent actions. He hadn't expected to blunder by fabricating a nonexistent departnt and being imdiately exposed.

The Caucasian man continued, "I noticed you at the museum during the day. You have the sa goal as , which is to steal sothing from the museum. Whether inside the museum or casing the place outside, your actions haven't escaped my notice. Because your concealnt thods are simply too poor and I've been aware of them all along. The reason I didn't act was to avoid stirring the snake in the grass and causing unnecessary complications. One thing I have to admit though, your makeup skills are indeed brilliant. You turned an Asian into an African Black person so well that ordinary people can hardly recognize you. But you overlooked one thing, your height and build didn't change, and I rember you, so I recognized you at a glance."

Yan Fei was shocked; he never expected his little maneuvers had been detected by soone else, and his disguising skills seen through. He considered himself clever to try an undercover heist without revealing his identity, yet in the eyes of the other, his behavior was as laughable as a clown's. However, he wasn't discouraged. After all, this was his first solo mission, and it was not surprising that he lacked experience. By the age of the Caucasian man, he probably would have gained ample experience and would no longer make such mistakes.

As the Caucasian man spoke, he moved towards Yan Fei's direction, but by the ti he got to the rear of the vehicle, he found no one there. Yan Fei was gone. The Caucasian man was startled, and suddenly his vision went dark. A figure pounced from above, delivering a flying kick that sent the pistol flying from his hand. Then, the shadowy figure ramd forward, crashing into him and sending him flying.

As it happened, when Yan Fei saw the Caucasian man approach with a gun, he quietly took out a prepared shuttle attached to a long cord from the Universal Space. He flung the shuttle, which hooked onto a large tree above. With a strong tug, he climbed up the rope to the tree.

It was late at night, and despite the moonlight, the Caucasian man's vision was not as sharp as Yan Fei's. He failed to notice Yan Fei had climbed the tree above. Then, when the Caucasian man moved round to the back, Yan Fei pounced from above, kicking the pistol from his hand and knocking him flying. The attack was as swift as electrical light, completed before the Caucasian man could react.

Having struck successfully, the Caucasian man was sent flying a great distance. But just as Yan Fei was about to give pursuit, he saw the Caucasian man turn and, despite his pain, leap down from a cliff beside the highway. Yan Fei looked over the edge and saw the man deftly climbing down the crags of the cliff face.

Yan Fei picked up a stone and threw it at the Caucasian man, who nimbly dodged. Stone after stone was hurled by Yan Fei, but the man dodged them all, and in a flash, he'd reached another highway below.

Yan Fei leaped down the cliff himself. With his superior jumping ability, he descended in a few bounds to the highway below, quickly catching up with the Caucasian man.

Suddenly the Caucasian man turned and threw sothing at Yan Fei. With sharp eyes, Yan Fei identified it as an oval hand grenade and kicked it with his foot. The grenade flew back even faster along its original path, striking the Caucasian man squarely. There was a loud "boom" as the grenade exploded violently.

Yan Fei kicked the grenade away and imdiately lay flat on the highway to avoid the blast. When the explosion was over, he looked up to find the Caucasian man sprawled on the ground, convulsing. He advanced and saw the man was horribly mutilated by the grenade fragnts, bleeding profusely as if it cost nothing, but sohow he was not yet dead despite his severe injuries and was unable to move anymore.

Yan Fei delivered a kick that broke both of the Caucasian man's legs and arms, completely depriving him of the power to resist. Then he ripped off the backpack the man was wearing and looked inside, only to find a stone rather than the rusty gear he had imagined.

The Caucasian man, already close to death's door, started laughing upon seeing Yan Fei's surprised expression.

Yan Fei was furious. He lifted the Caucasian man and demanded, "Why is there a stone in here? Where's the rusty gear gone?"

The Caucasian man stopped laughing and said, "If we knew we were being followed, and soone was planning a double-cross, why would we carry the real thing with us?"

Yan Fei thought for a mont and asked, "I've been watching you go into the museum and then co out, without contacting anyone or stopping anywhere in between. You shouldn't have had the ti to switch the contents. So, the real item must still be in the car above."

The Caucasian man sneered and said, "You really are a greenhorn. Did you seriously think I was acting alone this ti?"

Yan Fei inquired, "You have an accomplice?"

The Caucasian man replied, "Of course, I have a partner. When I stole the item from the museum, I passed the real thing to her, and I took the opposite route to lead you away, to protect her as she carried off the actual target."

Yan Fei was enraged; the thought that he had been deceived was intolerable. They had swapped the objective within the museum, and he had followed the wrong target, while the real one was taken by soone else. He viciously asked, "Which direction did your accomplice go?"

The Caucasian man didn't respond to Yan Fei's question. Instead, he laughed heartily a few tis, then his head drooped, and he simply died like that.

Yan Fei checked several tis, only to confirm that the Caucasian man was indeed dead and not feigning it. He had been lured away from the real target, now unknown, marking the most significant setback he had experienced in his career so far.

Yan Fei carefully examined the dead body of the Caucasian man but didn't find anything useful, let alone the rusted gear. After thinking for a mont, he threw the body off a nearby cliff, then returned to the car above and began a thorough search of the vehicle.

He still held a sliver of hope that the Caucasian man was deceiving him and had only temporarily hidden the target in the car. However, to his disappointnt, even after a ticulous search, the rusted gear was nowhere to be found inside the entire car.

As Yan Fei pondered how to find the target, a device in the car that resembled a communication device suddenly ca to life, and a woman's voice said, "Sam, I've arrived at the destination. How are things on your end?"

Yan Fei's mind raced, and he imdiately changed his accent, mimicking the voice of Sam who he had just blown up, "Everything went smoothly; I've shaken off the target."

After undergoing three modifications by the Mysterious Power, so amazing functions had erged within Yan Fei's body. This ability to control his vocal cords and change his voice was one of them. He had only exchanged a few words with the now deceased Sam and was already able to perfectly imitate his speech. However, not knowing Sam's speaking habits, he could only be brief and vague in his responses to avoid revealing any flaws.

The woman on the other end seed completely unaware of any change in Sam's voice and continued, "Since you've shaken off the target, co and et up with !"

Yan Fei responded vaguely, "Okay!"

The woman added, "By the way, I have already acquired the target, but I'm worried this contact point isn't safe, so let's et up at NGas Station No. 3 in the southern outskirts of Nairobi!"

Yan Fei replied, "Okay!"

With that, the other party stopped talking, and the conversation was over.

Yan Fei opened his mobile phone and began searching for NGas Station No. 3 in the Nairobi suburbs on the map. Sure enough, it was located more than thirty kiloters in the opposite direction, towards South City. After finding the direction, he once again took out a second-hand motorcycle from the Universal Space and sped off toward his destination.

Over forty minutes later, Yan Fei arrived at NGas Station No. 3. He did not rush forward but hid in the distance and observed silently, noticing a white pickup truck parked inside the gas station with soone sitting inside. As he slowly drove his motorcycle into the gas station, he passed by the pickup truck and saw a young blonde woman in the driver's seat, who looked bored as she watched the surroundings.

Yan Fei had a hunch; this was Africa where African Black People were everywhere, and security was not very good. The probability of a blonde woman appearing in the Nairobi suburbs at the dead of night was very low, so this blonde woman was almost certainly the sa one he had just spoken with on the phone. Hence, Yan Fei pushed his motorcycle, pretending to go to the gas station for a refill, and slowly approached the pickup truck of the blonde woman.

Dressed in traditional Nairobi garnts and having his skin painted black, Yan Fei looked like a genuine African under the night sky. As he passed by the blonde woman's pickup truck, he casually greeted her with a "Hi," to which the blonde, who was preoccupied with her thoughts, subconsciously replied with a "Hi."

Then Yan Fei was ecstatic; the sound of her voice upon speaking told him that he had found the right person. This blonde woman was the sa one who had communicated with Sam, and who was also the accomplice who had taken the rusted gear. He had finally found his target.

Just as Yan Fei breathed a sigh of relief, he saw the blonde woman wink playfully at him and smile sweetly. The car suddenly started and charged toward him.

Yan Fei was taken aback, stumbling backward, but with the distance too close, he failed to dodge completely and was struck hard by the pickup, sending him airborne. Yan Fei sorsaulted in mid-air, skillfully using the rolls to dissipate the massive impact force, so when he eventually fell to the ground at a distance, it looked clumsy, but his body was unhard.

Once he steadied himself, Yan Fei saw the pickup truck reversing quickly, the blonde woman holding a pistol in her left hand and firing at him. Yan Fei hastily dodged, only to realize that the bullets were not aid at him; they were targeting the gas station's fuel tanks.

Yan Fei shuddered and ran outside, only to hear a thunderous explosion behind him. He was then catapulted by the blast wave before being engulfed by a wave of intense flas that completely swallowed his body.

The gas station's fuel storage tank had been hit by a bullet and exploded, starting a raging fire that surged into the sky, so bright it could be seen from the Nairobi city area, even over ten kiloters away.
