Chapter 1567: Chapter 610: Highly Toxic Sphere

August walked down from the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, encountering no obstacles along the way, which gradually dulled his nerves and made him overconfident. Then, as he stepped onto the suspension bridge, his carelessness led to an ambush by an enemy hidden beneath the bridge.

However, August remained calm in the face of danger. Though his body plumted rapidly, his sleeve shot out to seize the bridge above. Yet the person he struck away was equally formidable. In midair, the foe spun forcefully to dissipate August’s imnse strength and landed back on the bridge. That figure stomped hard on the suspension bridge, shattering the nearby bridge deck and depriving August’s sleeve of any handhold, leaving August helplessly plumting into the molten lava below.

For the first ti in many years, August felt the terror of impending death. Abandoning his gentlemanly deanor, he shouted desperately, “Help! Soone save …”

August had gone ahead to scout the path for everyone. The others remained a kiloter away on the shore, opting not to follow. To them, August, being a God-level expert, surely wouldn’t face life-threatening danger even if sothing went wrong. Moreover, no one anticipated an ambush lurking under the suspension bridge, leaving them completely unprepared. As August was about to fall into the magma in the blink of an eye during the clash, everyone registered the threat but had no ti to intervene, watching helplessly as August plunged toward certain death.

Just when everyone thought August was dood, a crack of lightning echoed through the space. Suddenly, the petite lightning manipulator transford into a streak of lightning. The electric flash darted across the air and appeared a kiloter away above the magma. As August was about to fall into the lava, the manipulator caught hold of him. In another flash of lightning, the manipulator returned with August to the shore.

The lightning manipulator had acted swiftly, wielding their lightning powers to forcefully pull August back from the brink of death. Though August now stood safely on solid ground, his face remained etched with terror. If it weren’t for the manipulator’s miraculous powers, he’d already be dead…

Only then did the group turn their gaze toward the figure on the bridge. The person was entirely clad in black, not only in skin and hair but even in clothing. This enemy, previously crouched motionlessly in a visual blind spot beneath the bridge, had gone completely unnoticed. Judging by the tactics deployed, the foe was also a God-level expert, and moreover, a black God-level expert.

Most people present didn’t recognize this black God-level expert, but Yan Fei did. This figure was none other than the High Priest of KB Organisation, “African Glory.”

The High Priest had previously kidnapped the Dream Island workers stationed in Kenya treating Ebola Virus cases, intending to use them as hostages to extort Dream Island. His actions had drawn Yan Fei to Africa, where he outsmarted the High Priest every step of the way, luring him into his own trap of 2,000 tons of high explosives. Yan Fei detonated the explosives, unleashing an enormous blast that obliterated everything within a 10-kiloter radius, including triggering massive volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Yan Fei had thought the High Priest perished in that explosion, yet here he was, alive, standing in this enormous underground space.

Tripiṭaka also recognized the High Priest and exclaid loudly, “High Priest? Why is it you? Didn’t you go missing? How can you be here?”

Tripiṭaka had heard of the massive explosion, assuming the High Priest had died in it. However, considering the High Priest had once been his ally against the Destroyer, Tripiṭaka didn’t question survival but instead asked about his disappearance.

The High Priest, harboring resentnt toward The United States of Arica, had long blad them for supplying him the 2,000 tons of faulty high explosives, which exploded at the worst possible mont and nearly killed him. Thus, he held no goodwill toward Tripiṭaka, refusing to respond to his queries. Instead, he fixed his gaze directly on Yan Fei and said, “Yan Fei, you’ve finally co.”

Yan Fei replied, “What? You knew I’d co here?”

The High Priest said, “I didn’t know who would co here, but my task is to guard this bridge and let no one pass.”

Yan Fei said, “High Priest, you seem quite interested in .”

The High Priest said, “Yan Fei, I didn’t know before that you were the Destroyer. As a result, you outwitted , and the explosives I planted nearly killed . But all of that’s now in the past. I don’t plan to settle accounts with you. After all, earthly matters hold no aning for anymore. The reason I’ve been fixated on you is because you took my God-level opportunity, preventing my strength from achieving a breakthrough.”

Yan Fei was sowhat surprised and asked, “When did I take your God-level opportunity?”

The High Priest said, “Let remind you—how did you achieve your breakthrough to beco a God-level expert? And what are your God-level special abilities?”
