Chapter 1562: Chapter 608 Various Calculations_2

Yan Fei also hid behind the massive boulder and looked down at the mountain trail he had taken to get there. He found the place oddly familiar and soon recalled why. During his first trip to Africa to seize the Drone Upgrade Essential Items, he had been relentlessly chased by a blond CIA woman. Desperate and out of options, he had co here and jumped off the cliff at the last mont, only to be stopped by a large tree growing on the cliffside below. Two massive chimpanzees had appeared on that tree. Back then, Yan Fei had relied on the chimps’ attack on the blond woman to turn defeat into victory.

Had Yan Fei not chosen to jump off the cliff back then, and instead kept running upward for several hundred ters, he would have reached this very spot. If that had happened, perhaps he might have discovered the cave entrance to the Destiny Organization’s Lair that Tripiṭaka had pointed out. Gazing at this terrain now, an unbidden suspicion arose in his mind. He suspected that he had beco a pawn of the Destiny Organization at that mont. Because on another cliff below, he had been knocked unconscious by US missiles. When he ca to, Wen Rou had been there. Sothing must have transpired during his blackout…

Not only Yan Fei, but even Ancestral Land occasionally glanced at the steep cliff below. However, Ancestral Land’s face was obscured by tal armor, making it impossible to discern his expression.

Everyone turned to the entrance pointed out by Tripiṭaka, their expressions tinged with doubt. Captain China remarked, “Tripiṭaka, this area is inherently inaccessible. If we weren’t God-Level Experts, it would be nearly impossible for anyone else to climb to such heights. Look at that cave entrance—it’s overgrown with vegetation, and there are no traces of human activity. Are you absolutely certain that it’s the entrance to the Destiny Organization’s Lair?”

Tripiṭaka quietly replied, “When we first identified the cave entrance, we were also doubtful. So we examined satellite images of Mount Kilimanjaro from the past twenty years, along with all geographic data from the Kenyan and Tanzanian governnts concerning Kilimanjaro, and combined it with our prior geological surveys. After thorough analysis, we confird that this is the only cave capable of reaching 4,000 ters underground.”

The Lieutenant Colonel questioned, “But the cave entrance is so small and doesn’t seem suited for human passage. Could it be that the mbers of the Destiny Organization never leave here?”

Tripiṭaka responded, “The Destiny Organization’s marvels are beyond our imagination. This entrance likely hides so kind of secret chanism. Before we set out, we specifically consulted the famous US detective Gary Zach. Mr. Zach affird that this is indeed the entrance to the Destiny Organization. You’re all aware of Gary Zach’s extraordinary abilities. Since he confird it, there can be no mistake.”

Everyone had heard of the fad US detective who could only solve cases while drunk. Zach had never been wrong, relying entirely on his astonishing supernatural abilities. Now that they learned this cave entrance had been validated by Gary Zach, their belief that this was indeed the Destiny Organization’s Lair grew stronger. Though the exterior of the entrance was plain, who could say what secrets lay within?

Yan Fei suddenly remarked, “I don’t know whether this entrance connects to the Destiny Organization’s Lair, but I can confirm that this cave leads deep underground, likely connecting to the earth’s depths below.”

Tripiṭaka asked, “Why are you so sure?”

Yan Fei replied, “Take a look at the vegetation near the cave entrance.”

Everyone turned their gaze and saw the entrance was indeed covered with vegetation. It was the very presence of these plants that made everyone think the cave had seen no human activity.

Tripiṭaka asked, “We see it. So what?”

Yan Fei explained, “This place is at an altitude of over 5,900 ters—plants can’t grow at such heights. Look around; apart from the snow, there’s no vegetation anywhere. Yet the cave entrance is teeming with plants.”

Everyone noticed that the situation was just as Yan Fei described; only the distant cave entrance had vegetation, while other areas were entirely barren.

Yan Fei continued, “There’s only one explanation for this. The cave connects to the Earth’s core and might even lead to the magma layer below. Heat dispersed by the magma travels up through the cave to the high altitude of 5,800 ters. This heat enables plants to grow here. But once you move away from the entrance, vegetation can’t survive.”

The group mulled over his explanation and found it plausible. Combined with Tripiṭaka’s earlier statent that the cave extended to the underground, their confidence in locating the Destiny Organization’s Lair deep within the earth grew.

Tripiṭaka softly said, “Everyone, since we’ve found the entrance, let’s proceed according to the plan. If our actions are swift enough, we can catch the Destiny Organization in one fell swoop.”

Yan Fei interrupted again, saying, “Hold on. The US has gone to great lengths to locate the Destiny Organization’s Lair. You must want to annihilate them completely. But I can’t believe the US governnt is relying solely on us, the Elite team of God-Level Experts. Surely you’ve got other operational plans. Please disclose those plans to us, so we’re not left with doubts. Otherwise, we might unwittingly sabotage your mission.”
