108 Chapter 81: Important Task

Yoryo Oogawa had not imagined that there could be such formidable people in this world. He suddenly felt as if the world had opened a brand-new window to him. He asked, "Where are these Four Major famous detectives located?"

The young man beside him said, "The Four Major famous detectives are distributed across four different countries. Our country's famous detective is the young man wearing black-rimd glasses right in front of us, his na is Takashi Hasegawa. The other three are located in The United States of Arica, Britain, and China respectively."

Yoryo Oogawa, curious, asked, "Why are there famous detectives only in these four countries? Who are they?"

The young man beside him was about to answer this question when he realized that they had spoken too loudly and were overheard by Yohei Oogawa. Thus, Yohei Oogawa turned his head to scold them, and they imdiately shut up, not daring to digress again.

After Takashi Hasegawa finished examining the body of Ryoko Oogawa, he said, "The body examination is complete. I must conduct a detailed investigation at the cri scene."

Yohei Oogawa said, "Yoryo, you accompany Mr. Hasegawa to examine the scene. You must fulfill any requests he has, if there are any slip-ups, I'll hold you accountable."

Yoryo Oogawa quickly replied, "Please rest assured, Grandfather, I will fully cooperate with Mr. Hasegawa."

And so, Yoryo Oogawa took Hasegawa and his assistant into the forest behind the estate, while Yohei Oogawa, feeling too angry and unwell, returned to the estate to rest.

Once inside the forest, Takashi Hasegawa noticed that it was rather dim, so his assistant imdiately switched on a specially-made light and began using it to examine the details within the forest. Illuminated by this mysterious light, many normally overlooked details started to beco visible. Hasegawa began to observe the minutiae of the forest, scrutinizing every suspicious point without missing anything, until they erged from the other side of the forest.

Looking back at the forest, Takashi Hasegawa closed his eyes in thought. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and said, "The killer is a male, 178cm in height, weighing 80kg. He pursued Miss Ryoko into the forest from here. However, he did not run on the ground but jumped between the trees, which is why there are no footprints of his on the ground here."

Yoryo Oogawa followed Takashi Hasegawa back into the forest, moving in the way Yan Fei had. Hasegawa explained Yan Fei's thod of moving through the forest while pointing to the trees above. If Yan Fei were here, he would be astounded upon hearing Hasegawa's detailed explanation because not a single point was incorrect; it was exactly the way he had entered the forest.

Takashi Hasegawa led the group to an area with evidence of a fire. He said, "The killer should have been hit by the sniper's bullet here and injured because there is a slight sll of blood in the air. This blood scent does not match any from the Oogawa family who were murdered, so the killer definitely left his blood here. However, he obviously discovered this blunder and used gasoline to burn the scene, incinerating all traces of blood here. But since he chose to burn it with gasoline, it tells us he was rushed and couldn't completely dispose of all clues in a short ti. So, there must still be other clues left behind. Look around this area."

Hasegawa's assistants began to search the vicinity, with Yoryo Oogawa helping out. After a while, a shout of joy resounded; one of Hasegawa's assistants found a small hole in a charred tree, which had a tiny aperture inside it exposing the deford bullet warhead.

Hasegawa approached and used a tool to dig out the deford bullet warhead, indeed finding a trace of dried blood at the tip. He carefully placed the bullet inside an evidence bag, preserving it well. Even though the blood on the bullet had evaporated in the fire, they might still find the suspect's DNA in this trace of blood.

Then, Takashi Hasegawa continued moving forward with the group to the location where two snipers had t their fate. Hasegawa pointed to a spot and said, "The killer encountered the second sniper here. He was trapped at this spot but then suddenly took out a canister of gasoline and ignited the gasoline within it. This blinded the two snipers wearing infrared equipnt for a few monts, allowing the killer to eliminate them. The evidence is the burnt gasoline can and the remnants of a lighter on the ground."

At this point, Takashi Hasegawa seed puzzled. He pointed at the gasoline can on the ground and said, "This gasoline can holds more than 50 kilograms of gasoline, and the killer himself weighs 80 kilograms. Why would the killer think to carry a gasoline can with him while chasing after Miss Ryoko? Moreover, under the circumstance of carrying such a heavy can, how could he still leap freely between trees? Besides, later he used another can of gasoline to erase the clues, yet there's no container for gasoline found at the scene. Could it be that he carried two gasoline cans with him and still took away an unnecessary one afterward? Furthermore, the sniper rifles of the two snipers have also disappeared, probably taken by the killer. But why would he take such heavy and useless items? After all, he did not even end up using the sniper rifle..."
