The reason is quite simple.
As everyone knows, Dou Dou has a hundred million fans; these fans are its eyes and ears, so it makes sense that it would have news even before the people involved do.
Quantitative changes lead to qualitative changes, an eternal truth.
Well, after watching the video and hearing the news, Qiao Ze wasn't sure about the reason behind Xu Dajiang's appointnt anymore...
Logically, if they wanted him to go to the Capital, Xu Dajiang's transfer should be to the Capital, but it was to Linhai instead.

But then again, becoming a vice-chancellor at a Linhai university, where the institution's level isn't even lower than Xilin University of Technology, might be considered a promotion.
This left Qiao Ze uncertain as to whether this appointnt really matched Xu Dajiang's aspirations.

Their cooperation was in sync. As he said in the video, if Xu Dajiang didn't want to go to Linhai, he might as well create his own research institute and let him be the dean. Giving him so administrative tasks to handle would be reassuring.
Luckily, he was always prepared for both outcos.
