It can be understood as a courtesy unique to Huaxia.
After all, many foreign scholars attended today's defense, especially those who are in theoretical physics and might have a relatively shallow understanding of number theory. Having Qiao Ze explain more thoroughly was helpful for the scholars in attendance to more clearly follow Qiao Ze's thought process.
Qiao Ze took about half an hour to address the questions proposed by the defense committee.
Afterward, the moderator followed the previously set procedure to invite the committee experts and ntor Li Jiangao to leave for an adjacent room to discuss whether to approve the paper, marking the mont many had eagerly awaited—the question and answer session.
...
Robert Stephen was the first to raise his hand.
It must be said that while Qiao Ze presented on stage, he listened extrely attentively.
Although he temporarily couldn't understand many things, it didn't stop him from keenly spotting a significant flaw in Qiao Ze's paper.
This had excited him early on.
He could feel that everyone's emotions had been stirred up, to the point that even those around him had begun discussing how to carry out replication experints based on the model presented in Qiao Ze's paper to verify whether its proposed laws were correct.
Indeed, these physicists lacked so basic mathematical literacy. Even the defense committee seed highly amateurish since such an obvious flaw had not been ntioned thus far.
Well, he could admit that both Super Helical Space Algebra and transcendental geotry were indeed strokes of genius. But what had he said before? Qiao Ze was still too young, too goal-oriented, unwilling even to ponder the finer details.
Now he had the chance to enlighten this arrogant young man in public.
Unfortunately, the moderator didn't call on him but directly chose Schultz, who was seated further in front.
This made Robert Stephen sowhat anxious.
He suspected that Schultz had also keenly spotted the flaw he had found.
Although it didn't matter who raised the flaw, Robert Stephen still preferred to stand, question forcefully, and look directly into Qiao Ze's eyes to tell the young man that he wasn't an omnipotent god.
Luckily for Robert Stephen, the question posed by Schultz was different; it wasn't even a question, but rather a further demand. This made Robert Stephen sowhat disdainful of this western world's recognized young scholarly genius.
"If we perturb a certain parater of (F(x)), what impact would it have on your research findings? Could you demonstrate so examples for us on site?"
"Sure."
Watching Qiao Ze nonchalantly agree, Robert Stephen observed with a cold eye as Qiao picked up the chalk to start writing a series of formulae on the conference room's blackboard after paraters were perturbed. anwhile, a crowd lifted their phones to start recording...
The mont Qiao Ze put down the chalk, Robert Stephen imdiately raised his hand again.
This ti, the moderator finally gave him the opportunity.
Anxious to begin, Robert Stephen stood up with his notebook and voiced his skepticism, "I'm sorry to say, but I believe there is a major omission in your paper's proofs. On page seven of your paper, you present a lemma with the result: [0T_{ext{super}}=\\int_{\\Oga} e^{ax}\\cdot \\cos(bx), dV].
Let's turn to page twelve where, in proving that the norm is Theorem Two, you cited the lemma's result R(x)=\\frac{\\alpha}{x^2}] which contradicts it. As a result, it seems that all the subsequent proofs are based on a flawed theorem. What explanation do you have for this?"
Robert Stephen stood there, staring at Qiao Ze as he presented his question.
He thought that at this mont, Qiao Ze would begin to panic given that he wouldn't know how to explain the flaw, possibly even speaking nonsense to skirt past it.
But to his surprise, Qiao Ze rely glanced at him, then shifted his gaze to the moderator and simply said, "Next question, please."
