“You really talk too much nonsense,” Ye Chen replied curtly.
“Is it that you can’t control the ring’s magic power?”
Ye Chen didn’t want to engage in such a pointless conversation and simply asked, “You say you have demonic energy. Where is it?”
Baili He took out a small white bottle from his bosom. The bottle was sealed, akin to sealing a spirit within, only lacking a couple of talismans painted on it. He said, “I’ve stored this for a long ti to get just this little bottle. I couldn’t bear to use it myself, but today you get lucky.”

Ye Chen took the bottle and said, “Let’s talk about how to transfer the demonic energy into my body.”
Baili He looked around and asked, “Where is that girl?”
“You’re not suggesting that I betroth her to you in exchange for your wholehearted assistance, are you?”
“Would you agree if that were the case?”
“It seems you really overestimate yourself,” Ye Chen replied.
Baili He said, “No, that girl has so skills. She’s Divine Doctor Zhu’s daughter, right?”

“Stop beating around the bush and get to the point,” Ye Chen urged.
“The point is, if that girl could use acupuncture to help you control your ridians and then introduce the demonic energy, the effect would be much better. It would be beneficial for when you eventually defeat Su Zhanze, making it easier to remove the demonic energy without leaving any lingering effects,” said Baili He.
Waiting on Baili He, Ye Chen asked, “There could be aftereffects?”
“Of course, there’s always so risk of aftereffects.”
Muttering, Ye Chen asked, “What kind of aftereffects? It’s not going to render impotent, is it?”
Baili He laughed and said, “That won’t happen, but becoming neither man nor woman is indeed possible.”

Baili He giggled and continued drinking his tea.

After Longhun’s death, Ling Li took Shi Xueqin and left the Central Plains, reclaiming Dragon Slayer Island.
With Longhun dead, Ling Li’s vendetta for his father’s death was settled, and the remnants posed little threat. After all, he was a part of the Dragon Slaying Clan. Although he had been at odds with Longhun for a long ti, it was only because Longhun had been there. Now, with Longhun gone, it was different.
