Chapter 1457: Chapter 1443: Piercing Through Chapter 1457: Chapter 1443: Piercing Through Su Zhan Ze, seeing Qing’er act in such a manner, grew even more suspicious and said, “No, I just feel she needs a cup of tea more than I do.”
Little Qing hesitated, unsure what to do, but she couldn’t just disobey; yet that was a cup of poisoned tea, one sip would kill instantly, and everyone cherishes their life, and she was acutely aware of this.
Guo Yuqing, of course, could not let Little Qing drink the tea. It was her own doing that had led to this, she couldn’t just poison Little Qing to death; how could she bear it.
As Little Qing hesitated, Qing’er picked up the cup herself, about to take a sip, when Su Zhan Ze slapped it out of her hand, spilling the tea on the floor, and shouted, “Have you gone mad?”
The tea cup toppled onto the ground, the tea frothing, clearly proving Su Zhan Ze’s suspicions.
Little Qing, frightened, knelt on the floor.
Guo Yuqing shouted, “This was my doing, it has nothing to do with her.” It was a misstep in her plan; she waved her hand, signaling Little Qing to leave.
Su Zhan Ze of course knew that all this was Guo Yuqing’s arrangent, but he could never have imagined that she would actually do sothing like this. He asked, “Are you really so intent on poisoning to death?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“I’ve been so good to you, and just to avenge that boy, you want to poison to death?”
Qing’er, hysterical, called out, “You turned my sister into a living dead, how do you expect to treat you?”
Stunned by her words, Su Zhan Ze asked, “What, I turned your sister into a living dead?” He was completely baffled; this was sothing he had no knowledge of.
Qing’er then realized she had misspoken.
Su Zhan Ze was shocked and said, “Yu Yun turned into a living dead, how co I don’t know anything about it? Where did you hear such news? I swear I’ve done no such thing.”
Qing’er remained silent.
After a mont of dumbfoundedness, Su Zhan Ze considered that Qing’er had been with her all this ti. How could she co by such information? He imdiately called in two of his subordinates and said sothing to them, feeling certain there was sothing he didn’t know.
Next, the two subordinates headed straight for Qing’er’s room.
Qing’er yelled, “What are you trying to do?”
“Where exactly did you hear that I turned Yu Yun into a living dead? I’ve never done such a thing.”
Qing’er regretted her words. She hadn’t destroyed that letter yet; it was still in her room. She wanted to stop them, but the two n had already charged in.
They soon found a letter in the desk.
The letter was swiftly presented to Su Zhan Ze, and as Qing’er prepared to rush over to destroy the docunt, she was blocked by the two n.
Su Zhan Ze roared, “I’m curious to see who would dare slander in such a way.”
However, his attitude changed completely after opening the letter.
It was a letter from Li Mo to Guo Yuqing, disclosing the matters concerning Ye Chen and Guo Yuyun.
Su Zhan Ze kept nodding and said, “So that’s what this is all about.”
Knowing it was now unstoppable, Qing’er called out, “Yes, that’s exactly it. You turned my sister into a living dead, and you still want to marry ?”
Su Zhan Ze looked at her and called out, “This has nothing to do with .”
“Nothing to do with you! Would this have happened if it weren’t for that palm strike of yours?”
“That doesn’t an you can bla all this on ; I never intended to harm Guo Yuyun.”
“Right, my sister deserves it, we’ve all wronged you, you are such a good person.”
Su Zhan Ze watched Qing’er and finally understood.
“I will never be good with you, not in this lifeti!”
Enraged, Su Zhan Ze stord out. He never could have guessed that the boy was actually still alive. He couldn’t help but feel amazed and called out, “Find a way, locate them. As soon as they are found, inform imdiately. I want to see if he’ll be as lucky next ti.”
The two subordinates behind him nodded repeatedly.
Su Zhan Ze then ordered, “Watch Qing’er closely and replace that one called Little Qing.”
A subordinate asked, “What should we do with her?”
“Bury her alive.”
“Qing’er will undoubtedly be devastated.”
“Damn it, such a letter being sent over, is quite cunning, trying to have Qing’er poison to death.”
“This is a conspiracy.”
“Of course, I know it’s a conspiracy, a very dangerous conspiracy.”
Without this letter, Su Zhan Ze would have remained unaware that Ye Chen had narrowly escaped disaster. He then called out, “Bring Chen Yu back to .”
Soon enough, Chen Yu also learned of these matters and, still sowhat in disbelief, realized that Qing’er had tried to poison Su Zhan Ze.
Su Zhan Ze was seething with rage, like a blazing fire ready to burn soone to death at any mont.
Chen Yu didn’t dare say much.
“Find him for ,” yelled Su Zhanze, “I want to slaughter him with my own hands.”
Chen Yu said, “Don’t worry, it’s not difficult to find him. As long as we confirm he’s alive, if he’s in the Central Plains, we’ll have news imdiately.”
“So he wants to poison to death, huh? Great, I’ll see how long he can live. And that guy called Li Mo,” Su Zhanze shouted.
“I’ll send out the ssage right now.”
“Mhm, don’t let this guy escape. Even if he runs to the ends of the earth, he must be found,” Su Zhanze ordered.
“Rest assured, now all the major sects in the Immortal and Demon realms are listening to us, no one dares to help them,” Chen Yu reassured.
“Whoever dares to help them, I’ll exterminate them,” Su Zhanze continued, “And prepare a ssage for the Wastelands and the thirty-six islands. Anyone who dares to protect that kid is declaring themselves an enemy of the Immortal City Sect.”
“Understood. I’ll make them like holess dogs, with nowhere to hide,” confird Chen Yu.
Su Zhanze was utterly enraged. Were it not for Chen Yu’s prior warning, coupled with that girl’s panic and confusion, he might truly have drunk the poisoned tea. If that had been the case, he’d be lying on the ground by now. To think Guo Yuqing would attempt to poison him, it was too vicious; he had to kill that kid with his own hands.
“Wants to poison to death? I’ll see who dies first.”
In her agitation, Qing’er blurted out Yun’er’s situation without thinking. She hadn’t expected Su Zhanze to directly search her room, and what’s worse, now that Su Zhanze knew Ye Chen was still alive, he would definitely try to kill Ye Chen, who was unaware of this incident.
It seems she must inform them in haste. Otherwise, without any preparedness, Su Zhanze’s vengeful heart would surely conclude that Ye Chen was behind this, and he wouldn’t let Ye Chen off the hook.
But as she prepared to go out and look for Little Qing, Little Qing was nowhere to be found.
There were people at the door blocking her way.
Angered, she demanded, “What have you done with Little Qing?”
The four n remained silent.
“Did Su Zhanze kill her? I’ve already told him that it was all my doing, that she has nothing to do with it.”
The four n still said nothing.
Qing’er called out again, “Get Su Zhanze here for quickly; I have things I need to tell him.”
But a skinny man replied, “The Sect Leader has matters to attend to and has gone out.”
“Little Qing is definitely in danger,” Qing’er, boiling with rage, tried to leave, insisting she must see Su Zhanze herself. Perhaps there was still ti, but the four n blocked her and wouldn’t let her out.
Qing’er exclaid, “You an to keep under house arrest, right?”
The skinny man said, “This is the Sect Leader’s command, my lady. Please spare us. If we let you out and the Sect Leader finds out, he won’t let us off easily. We’re begging you.”
The others quickly echoed his plea.
It beca clear that Su Zhanze was indeed keeping her under house arrest. In desperation, she said, “If you won’t let out, then at least call Jiang Shizi over. That shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
The n exchanged glances; Su Zhanze had only said not to let Qing’er out, and he hadn’t forbidden others from coming to see her.
“If you don’t let Jiang Shizi co to , I’ll die right here and see how you explain it to your Sect Leader.” As she spoke, she had already drawn the golden hairpin from her head and pointed it at her throat.
The n were so frightened that they quickly nodded, saying, “We can go and call Jiang Shizi for you, my lady. Please, don’t do anything rash.” They were still scared; if indeed sothing happened to Guo Yuqing, Su Zhanze would never let the four of them off the hook.
“Tell Jiang Shizi that I have sothing very important to discuss and that it has to be tonight.”
Soon, the skinny man went to deliver the ssage.
Before long, Jiang Shizi arrived, still unaware of the events that had unfolded. Having only seen them at dusk that evening, she hurried over, presuming there must be sothing urgent.
Since it was midnight, Yuan Jingxing, worried about Jiang Shizi coming alone, especially since she was pregnant, accompanied her.
Noticing four n guarding the door—an uptick in security since dusk—Jiang Shizi found the situation exceedingly strange, also noting the absence of Little Qing who usually would’ve been the one to find her.
Seeing Jiang Shizi and Yuan Jingxing together, Qing’er beca visibly agitated and rose from her chair.
Without hesitation, Jiang Shizi asked, “What on earth has happened?” as she didn’t see Little Qing at Qing’er’s side.
The overwheld Qing’er burst into tears, and disclosed all that had occurred after Jiang Shizi left.
Jiang Shizi was dumbfounded and asked, “Are you sure everything you’ve said is true?”
“Yes, it’s all true. My sister has beco a living dead person; how could I lie about sothing like that?”
“You shouldn’t have kept this from us. How could you not tell us about sothing so serious?”
Guo Yuqing had no intention of implicating them, fearing that if they failed, Su Zhanze wouldn’t spare the couple.
“Stop crying for now. If Little Qing is really still alive, Yuan Jingxing will figure sothing out. Don’t be so agitated,” they said.
But not being agitated was easier said than done. Tears stread down her face, gushing like a spring, impossible to hold back.
“I’ll go check on it right now, don’t worry,” stated Yuan Jingxing.
“It’s all my fault. I should have foreseen this. I was too hasty. Little Qing was never able to keep secrets and yet I had her do such a thing,” Guo Yuqing shook her head ceaselessly.
