“Romance between a man and woman starts from such tension. How would you notice one other without this strife?” Ye Chen tried to explain.
Yu Yun was already so angry that she stomped her foot hard. Ye Chen almost fell over.
Yu Yun had already headed back down.
Ye Chen, rubbing his own ankle, said, “This lass is really fierce.”
“Serves you right if she stomps you to death.” Yu Yun shouted back over her shoulder.
Ye Chen sat in the grass, watching the sun about to rise.
A few deer bleated in the woods.
Ye Chen looked into the distance, unsure what awaited him next. He felt it was ti to let go. Ling’er was gone, leaving in a hurry, without a trace. She had said her goodbyes the night before. His Wasteland’s tale felt like it never happened. Counting the days, he realized how much ti had inadvertently passed.
Yet, her smile lingered. Only then did he realize, people indeed take things for granted, not feeling regret until everything is lost and it’s too late. Only at this point did he realize the importance of cherishing.
Why would he suddenly feel sentintal? It felt strange; he would not have done so before. Could it be that he was really getting old and this was a symptom of aging?
